O divórcio em Portugal: antecedentes e 1.ª República

O instituto do divórcio foi introduzido em Portugal por Decreto de 3 de Novembro de 1910, logo na sequência da instauração da República. Fruto precoce da Revolução de 5 de Outubro do mesmo ano, a usualmente designada Lei do Divórcio não correspondeu ao desfecho de um processo legislativo democrático nem traduziu propriamente a concretização de uma aspiração nacional, como notaram diversos autores e se confirma através da análise da incidência estatística do divórcio durante a 1.ª República

A promoção da qualidade dos cuidados à pessoa em situação crítica com sépsis

O Relatório de Estágio é a etapa final do Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica – A Pessoa em Situação Crítica. No mesmo objetiva-se apresentar uma reflexão crítica e fundamentada do processo formativo, com incidência nas atividades desenvolvidas ao longo do Estágio Final e no seu contributo para a aquisição e desenvolvimento das diferentes competências. No estágio final, entre outras atividades, destaca-se a realização do projeto de intervenção, com recurso à Metodologia de Projeto e enquadrada no Modelo para Mudança da Prática Baseada em Evidência, que será apresentado de forma detalhada. O mesmo incidiu sobre as intervenções à Pessoa em Situação Crítica com Sépsis, com o intuito de fomentar a segurança e a melhoria da qualidade dos cuidados prestados a estes doentes. Este caminho baseou-se na implementação de diferentes ações promotoras do desenvolvimento de conhecimentos da equipa de enfermagem acerca da Sépsis e uniformização das intervenções com base em evidência científica atual e diretrizes internacionais e nacionais. Concomitantemente, pretendeu-se analisar e refletir de forma critica e fundamentada sobre o processo de aquisição e desenvolvimento das Competências Comuns do Enfermeiro Especialista, das Competências Específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica – A Pessoa em Situação Crítica, bem como das Competências de Mestre em Enfermagem

Do direito constituído por acordo sobre o destino da casa de morada da família: a propósito de um acórdão do Supremo Tribunal de Justiça

Este estudo parte da apreciação do Acórdão do Supremo Tribunal de Justiça (STJ) de 01-07-2021 (Proc. 5484/18.8T8VNG.P1.S1), inserido numa já longa lista de acórdãos que versam questões relacionadas com os acordos conjugais sobre o destino da casa de morada da família celebrados no âmbito do divórcio ou na sequência deste. Depois da descrição resumida do caso que foi objecto daquele Acórdão do STJ e de outros casos relevantes, incluindo a apreciação que deles fizeram as instâncias, procede-se ao enquadramento normativo de tais acordos para averiguar se e sob que pressupostos poderão constituir um direito real de habitação a favor de um dos ex-cônjuges.This study is based on the appreciation of the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice of 07-01-2021 (Proc. 5484/18.8T8VNG.P1.S1), inserted in an already long list of judgments that deal with issues related to agreements on the destination of the family home concluded in the context of divorce. Acompanhamento das operações culturais em dois olivais em sebe na região de Elvas

O estágio decorreu na Herdade das Casas Velhas, na freguesia de Vila Fernando, concelho de Elvas. Consistiu no acompanhamento das operações culturais realizadas entre fevereiro e julho de 2023 em duas parcelas de olival em sebe, plantadas em 2020, uma com a variedade ‘Arbequina’ (9,5 ha) e a outra com a variedade ‘Koroneiki’ (6,0 ha). Foram acompanhadas as operações da poda, do controlo da vegetação do solo, da rega, da fertilização e dos tratamentos fitossanitários. Adicionalmente foram feitas observações da fenologia, seguindo a escala BBCH, do período de floração, da qualidade da flor e da taxa de vingamento das inflorescências. A poda teve como objetivo limpar a base da sebe, para facilitar a colheita com máquina automotriz, tendo também sido eliminados ramos que cresciam em direção á entrelinha. As fertilizações e os tratamentos fitossanitários foram feitos num esquema fixo que nos pareceu pouco específico para os olivais da Herdade, após indicação tardia da empresa que presta apoio técnico. A instalação de 2 sondas Wartermark permitiu verificar que, mesmo após duas alterações das dotações da rega, o teor de humidade do solo era inferior ao desejável, situação mais crítica na variedade ‘Koroneiki’ onde um solo mais ligeiro requeria uma gestão da rega diferente. Nas próximas campanhas será requerida mais informação sobre os resultados das análises do solo e foliares para participação conjunta, com a empresa de apoio técnico, nas decisões de fertilização. Os tratamentos fitossanitários também deverão se ajustados à estimativa de risco para este local específico e realizados seguindo os princípios da proteção integrada. Deverão ser instaladas mais sondas nas outras parcelas de olival e a gestão da rega deverá ser consoante as leituras Verificou-se que a variedade ‘Arbequina’ é mais precoce que a ‘Koroneiki’, e, esta variedade também apresenta uma maior percentagem de flores perfeitas e uma maior taxa de vingamento inicial e final.The internship took place at Herdade das Casas Velhas, in the parish of Vila Fernando, in the municipality of Elvas. It consisted of monitoring the cultural operations carried out between February and July 2023 on two plots of hedged olive groves, planted in 2020, one with the 'Arbequina' variety (9.5 ha) and the other with the 'Koroneiki' variety (6.5 ha). 0 ha). The operations of pruning, soil vegetation control, irrigation, fertilization and phytosanitary treatments were monitored. Additionally, observations were made of the phenology, following the BBCH scale, of the flowering period, of the flower quality and of the fruit setting rate. The purpose of pruning was to clean the base of the hedge, to facilitate harvesting with a self-propelled machine, also eliminating branches that grew towards the interlines. Fertilization and phytosanitary treatments were carried out in a fixed scheme that seemed to us not very specific for the Herdade's olive groves, after a late indication from the company that provides technical support. The installation of 2 Wartermark probes made it possible to verify that, even after two changes in the irrigation allocations, the soil moisture content was lower than desirable, a more critical situation in the 'Koroneiki' variety where a different soil required a different irrigation management. In future campaigns, more information will be required on the results of soil and foliar analyses for joint participation, with the technical support company, in fertilization decisions. Phytosanitary treatments should also be adjusted to the risk estimate for this specific location and carried out following the principles of integrated protection. More probes should be installed in the other olive grove plots and irrigation management should depend on the readings It was found that the 'Arbequina' variety is earlier than the 'Koroneiki', that the percentage of perfect flowers is also higher in this variety and which presents higher rate of initial and final setting.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

The Portuguese sculptural production of the time is characterized by the creation of a three dimensional object thatsomehow expresses the creator’ ideas and emotions. Domingos Soares Branco rejected the conventional techniques in clay or plaster and the subsequent passage into bronze or stone, and started working on copper foil. His innovative development process, allowed him an almost feverish intense activity, producing countless traditional pieces with a strong personal touch. Analgesic and Anti-Inflammatory Effects of the Novel Semicarbazide-Sensitive Amine-Oxidase Inhibitor SzV-1287 in Chronic Arthritis Models of the Mouse.

Semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase (SSAO) catalyses oxidative deamination of primary amines. Since there is no data about its function in pain and arthritis mechanisms, we investigated the effects of our novel SSAO inhibitor SzV-1287 in chronic mouse models of joint inflammation. Effects of SzV-1287 (20 mg/kg i.p./day) were investigated in the K/BxN serum-transfer and complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA)-evoked active immunization models compared to the reference SSAO inhibitor LJP-1207. Mechanonociception was assessed by aesthesiometry, oedema by plethysmometry, clinical severity by scoring, joint function by grid test, myeloperoxidase activity by luminescence, vascular leakage by fluorescence in vivo imaging, histopathological changes by semiquantitative evaluation, and cytokines by Luminex assay. SzV-1287 significantly inhibited hyperalgesia and oedema in both models. Plasma leakage and keratinocyte chemoattractant production in the tibiotarsal joint, but not myeloperoxidase activity was significantly reduced by SzV-1287 in K/BxN-arthritis. SzV-1287 did not influence vascular and cellular mechanisms in CFA-arthritis, but significantly decreased histopathological alterations. There was no difference in the anti-hyperalgesic and anti-inflammatory actions of SzV-1287 and LJP-1207, but only SzV-1287 decreased CFA-induced tissue damage. Unlike SzV-1287, LJP-1207 induced cartilage destruction, which was confirmed in vitro. SzV-1287 exerts potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory actions in chronic arthritis models of distinct mechanisms, without inducing cartilage damage

A computational model of liver iron metabolism

Iron is essential for all known life due to its redox properties; however, these same properties can also lead to its toxicity in overload through the production of reactive oxygen species. Robust systemic and cellular control are required to maintain safe levels of iron, and the liver seems to be where this regulation is mainly located. Iron misregulation is implicated in many diseases, and as our understanding of iron metabolism improves, the list of iron-related disorders grows. Recent developments have resulted in greater knowledge of the fate of iron in the body and have led to a detailed map of its metabolism; however, a quantitative understanding at the systems level of how its components interact to produce tight regulation remains elusive. A mechanistic computational model of human liver iron metabolism, which includes the core regulatory components, is presented here. It was constructed based on known mechanisms of regulation and on their kinetic properties, obtained from several publications. The model was then quantitatively validated by comparing its results with previously published physiological data, and it is able to reproduce multiple experimental findings. A time course simulation following an oral dose of iron was compared to a clinical time course study and the simulation was found to recreate the dynamics and time scale of the systems response to iron challenge. A disease state simulation of haemochromatosis was created by altering a single reaction parameter that mimics a human haemochromatosis gene (HFE) mutation. The simulation provides a quantitative understanding of the liver iron overload that arises in this disease. This model supports and supplements understanding of the role of the liver as an iron sensor and provides a framework for further modelling, including simulations to identify valuable drug targets and design of experiments to improve further our knowledge of this system
