Campus Lima Centr
Attitudes Toward Breast Cancer Genetic Testing in Five Special Population Groups
Purpose: This study examined interest in and attitudes toward genetic testing in 5 different population groups.
Methods: The survey included African American, Asian American, Latina, Native American, and Appalachian women with varying familial histories of breast cancer. A total of 49 women were interviewed in person. Descriptive and nonparametric statistical techniques were used to assess ethnic group differences.
Results: Overall, interest in testing was high. All groups endorsed more benefits than risks. There were group differences regarding endorsement of specific benefits and risks: testing to “follow doctor recommendations” (p=0.017), “concern for effects on family” (p=0.044), “distrust of modern medicine” (p=0.036), “cost” (p=0.025), and “concerns about communication of results to others” (p=0.032). There was a significant inverse relationship between interest and genetic testing cost (p
Conclusion: Cost may be an important barrier to obtaining genetic testing services, and participants would benefit by genetic counseling that incorporates the unique cultural values and beliefs of each group to create an individualized, culturally competent program. Further research about attitudes toward genetic testing is needed among Asian Americans, Native Americans, and Appalachians for whom data are severely lacking. Future study of the different Latina perceptions toward genetic testing are encouraged

Presumed Diffuse Unilateral Subacute Neuroretinitis: A Review Supported by a Unique Case
Diffuse unilateral subacute neuroretinitis (DUSN) is a rare, sight-threatening inflammatory condition caused by a nematode. It typically affects healthy children and young adults. Various nematodes have been implicated, including those that originate from dogs and raccoons. Late stage findings include optic nerve atrophy, retinal arterial attenuation, “retinitis pigmentosa-like” retinal pigmentary changes, and central and peripheral vision loss. We present a case study of long-standing DUSN. The combination of optical coherence tomography (OCT) and visual electrophysiology testing proved invaluable in establishing a presumptive diagnosis of this rare condition
Los Valores en Los Consumidores Millennials de la Ciudad de Saltillo, Coahuila
This study makes a descriptive analysis of the clients profiles that belong to the Y or Millenial generation in the city of Saltillo, Coahuila. The study was performed using the Values List Scale (LOV) attributed to Khale (Khale, Beatty, & Homer, 1986) quoted by Irene Ramos Soler (2008). This scale was used for the investigation of market segmentation and in identifying target markets. It is a work that has to do with the field of marketing. This study however is considered as an exploratory, descriptive, quantitative, and transversal investigation. Using Pearson’s chi square analysis and an answer percentage comparison with the IBM SPSS software, they show us that the more important values are self-completion and selfesteem. A stratification sample was used. It also uses age variable and it applies a questionnaire instrument to 261 people that belong to Y generation in Saltillo, Coahuila
enfocado en la página web.KYMA is a new e-commerce focused on the sale of clothing items for Peruvian women
who seek to bring out their uniqueness. Because how is it possible to notice, we do not
have the same type or style of body that women of other nationalities have. There is where
our originality lies.
For this, we have proposed a specific undertaking on a website, with spaces on social
networks, Instagram, and Facebook, which works as a virtual store concept focused on
non-limitations. To ensure that all the ideas and proposals were aligned, we developed a
Branding Plan around the creation of the brand; a Digital Marketing Plan, concentrating
on positioning in networks, and User Experience focused on the website
Tailoring Interlayer Exchange Coupling of Ferromagnetic Films Across MgO with Fe Nanoclusters
We investigate the interlayer exchange coupling in Fe/MgO/Fe and Fe/MgO/Co
systems with magnetic Fe nanoclusters embedded in the MgO spacer. Samples are
grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and utilize wedged MgO films to
independently vary the film thickness and the position of the Fe nanoclusters.
Depending on the position of the Fe nanoclusters, the bilinear coupling (J1)
exhibits strong variations in magnitude and can even switch between
antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic. This effect is explained by the magnetic
coupling between the ferromagnetic films and the magnetic nanoclusters.
Interestingly, the coupling of Fe nanoclusters to a Co film is 160% stronger
than their coupling to a Fe film (at MgO spacing of 0.56 nm). This is much
greater than the coupling difference of 20% observed in the analogous thin film
systems (i.e. Fe/MgO/Co vs. Fe/MgO/Fe), identifying an interesting nano-scaling
effect related to the coupling between films and nanoclusters.Comment: to appear in PR
This paper focuses on deepening the beliefs of young consumers of medium socioeconomic status, C + and C, in the city of Saltillo, Coahuila, in Mexico. The impact that these beliefs have and how it spreads fromgeneration to generation was also determined. Marketing specialists can also use it for the creation of strategies. It is a "cross-sectional" investigation where studies are carried out at a specific moment with the group under investigation (Hernández Sampieri, Fernandez Collado, & Baptista Lucio, 2006). An exploratory study with a qualitative scope was also carried out, and the focus group was established as a direct technique. The results cannot be generalized since their objective is difficult to diagnose and find. This therefore leads to the conclusion that beliefs are an underlying variable for the subject in regards to purchasing decisions
estadístico Rho de Spearman su valor correlacional es de = -,162 con Sig. de 0,375;
Variation of microphysics in wind bubbles: an alternative mechanism for explaining the rebrightenings in GRB afterglows
Conventionally, long GRBs are thought to be caused by the core collapses of
massive stars. During the lifetime of a massive star, a stellar wind bubble
environment should be produced. Furthermore, the microphysics shock parameters
may vary along with the evolution of the fireball. Here we investigate the
variation of the microphysics shock parameters under the condition of wind
bubble environment, and allow the microphysics shock parameters to be
discontinuous at shocks in the ambient medium. It is found that our model can
acceptably reproduce the rebrightenings observed in GRB afterglows, at least in
some cases. The effects of various model parameters on rebrightenings are
investigated. The rebrightenings observed in both the R-band and X-ray
afterglow light curves of GRB 060206, GRB 070311 and GRB 071010A are reproduced
in this model.Comment: 9 figures, accepted by MNRA
