BALANZA DE PAGOS PETROLERA 1990-2002 Resultados, aspectos conceptuales y metodológicos

La incidencia de la actividad petrolera en la balanza de pagos ha sido significativa, especialmente desde inicios de la década de los noventa cuando se descubrieron importantes pozos petrolíferos en el piedemonte llanero, que han generado sustanciales flujos de capital e ingresos por exportaciones. Este documento presenta la estimación de una balanza de pagos específica para el sector petrolero, la cual desagrega las transacciones externas de agentes residentes vinculados a dicha actividad en todas sus etapas, haciendo énfasis especial en la exploración, explotación y transporte de petróleo y sus derivados.

Las matemáticas en la escuela: perspectiva desde la escuela pedagógica experimental

Se hace una presentación de los elementos que como grupo de profesores de matemáticas, consideramos característicos de la experiencia EPE en la enseñanza de las matemáticas. Entre estos resaltamos el trabajo por problemas centrado en el pensamiento matemático, la invención de regularidades y el trabajo en equipo. También se discute acerca de los aprendizajes caracterológicos y de la importancia de aprender a aprender. Esta exposición está acompañada de una mirada panorámica a algunos proyectos de investigación que hemos adelantado y de algunas reflexiones acerca de los contextos de investigación, que se posibilitan por la innovación de la escuela pedagógica experimental

Biological treatment of contaminated air with toluene in an airlift reactor

In this work the variation in the toluene elimination capacity of an airlift bioreactor as a function of the toluene inlet load, using compost as the support material for the microorganisms was studied. In order to evaluate the flexibility of the reactor under changing toluene load, the toluene biodegradation was measured for flows from 2.4 x 10-2 to 0.132 m3 h-1, and a concentration range from 1.4 to 0.8 g m-3. Results show a 100% removal efficiency (RE) for minor flows, however, for a flow increase of 450% the RE decreased 40%, reflecting the equipments weak flexibility in varying flows. Meanwhile the maximum elimination capacity obtained was 230 g m-3 h-1, for toluene loads of 550 g m-3 h-1, corresponding to a flow of 0.132 m3 h-1. It was found that a average biomass concentration in suspension of 3700 g m-3, reflected EC's of 203 g m-3 h-1

Parameterization, Analysis, and Risk Management in a Comprehensive Management System with Emphasis on Energy and Performance (ISO 50001: 2018)

[EN] The future of business development relies on the effective management of risks, opportunities, and energy and water resources. Here, we evaluate the application of best practices to identify, analyze, address, monitor, and control risks and opportunities (R/O) according to ISO 31000 and 50000. Furthermore, we shed light on tools, templates, ISO guides, and international documents that contribute to classifying, identifying, formulating control, and managing R/O parameterization in a comprehensive management system model, namely CMS QHSE3+, which consists of quality (Q), health and safety (HS), environmental management (E), energy efficiency (E2), and other risk components (+) that include comprehensive biosecurity and biosafety. Niveles de bienestar y tipo de familia: comparación de familias monoparentales y biparentales y sus efectos psicoemocionales en estudiantes de dos establecimientos de la Región Metropolitana

Tesis (Profesor de Educación General Básica, Licenciado en Educación)A lo largo de los años, la institución de la familia ha sufrido importantes cambios en su estructura y funcionamiento, lo que la ha impactado tanto de manera positiva como negativa. Es por esto, que la siguiente investigación responde a la consulta relativa a si el tipo de familia influye o no en el bienestar de un niño. Para alcanzar este objeto se utilizaron estrategias orientadas a medir los diferentes parámetros del bienestar, tales como la autoestima, felicidad y emociones. Dentro de los distintos tipos de familia que existen en nuestra sociedad, esta tesis centra su análisis en dos de ellos, la biparental y monoparental, indagando los efectos que cada una de estas familias provoca en el bienestar y la felicidad de sus hijos. Particularmente, y a través de distintos instrumentos, se mide cómo impacta el tipo de familia de la que proviene el niño en las distintas áreas de su bienestar, permitiendo tener una visión amplia y completa de la importancia del rol de la familia en el desarrollo de sus hijos. Los resultados nos entregan información relevante sobre cómo afecta el tipo de familia en el desarrollo emocional del niño, siendo en la mayoría de los casos, la familia monoparental la que presenta puntajes más altos en situaciones negativas tanto sociales como emocionales.Over the years, the institution of the family has undergone important changes in itsstructure and functioning, which has impacted both positively and negatively. Thefollowing investigation responds to the query regarding whether or not a child well-beinginfluences the type of family from which it comes. To achieve this objective, differentinstruments were used to measure the different parameters of well-being, such as self-esteem, happiness and emotions. Within the different types of family that exist in oursociety, this thesis focuses itsanalysis on two of them, the traditional and single-parentfamilies, researching the effects that each of these families causes on the welfare andhappiness of their children. Particularly, and through different instruments, we measure how the type of family fromwhich the child originates in the different areas of their well-being impacts, allowing us tohave a broad and complete vision of the importance of the role of the family in thedevelopment of their children. The results provide us with relevant information on how thetype of family affects the emotional development of the child, being in most cases, thesingle parent family which has higher scores in negative social and emotional situations

Con el fin de medir el impacto del sector externo petrolero en la economía, la Subgerencia de Estudios Económicos adelantó algunas tareas conducentes a la estimación de una balanza de pagos del sector, considerando diferentes fuentes de información que suministran datos relacionados con las estadísticas aduaneras de comercio exterior; transacciones externas de servicios, registros de inversión, datos cambiarios y de deuda externa, balances financieros de las empresas del sector e infórmación estadística de Ecopetrol

Revisión bibliográfica a la gestión integral de los recursos hídricos y las iniciativas de protección de ríos a nivel

Rapid population growth, combined with inadequate and sometimes nonexistent territorial planning exert enormous pressure on river ecosystems in the world; contamination of water sources by domestic waste and industry, changes in the flow, uncontrolled fishing or diverting water for farmland irrigation, often compromise the ecological integrity of these ecosystems and their ability to provide ecosystem services (SE) to society. Current efforts to protect rivers have achieved important results in the protection of these ecosystems, however, the need to strengthen the legislative framework under which protection is sought is evident. This article presents a literature review of efforts to protect rivers in the world; seeks to contextualize the reader about different approaches on river ecosystems management, and emphasizes the need to strengthen environmental legislation to achieve lasting commitments and safeguard these ecosystems and the cultural, spiritual and social values associated.El acelerado crecimiento poblacional, junto con una insuficiente y a veces inexistente planeación territorial, ejercen una enorme presión sobre los ecosistemas fluviales en el mundo; la contaminación de fuentes de aguas con desechos domésticos y de la industria, las alteraciones en los caudales, la pesca descontrolada o la desviación de agua para riego agrícola, comprometen en muchos casos la integridad ecológica de estos ecosistemas y su capacidad de proveer servicios ecosistémicos (SE) a la sociedad. Las actuales iniciativas de protección de ríos observadas han logrado importantes resultados en la protección de estos ecosistemas; sin embargo, uno de los rasgos comunes identificados en las diferentes iniciativas analizadas a nivel mundial, lo constituye la necesidad de fortalecer el marco legislativo bajo el cual se busca su protección. Este artículo presenta una revisión bibliográfica de iniciativas de protección de ríos en el mundo; busca contextualizar al lector sobre los diferentes enfoques en materia de gestión de ecosistemas fluviales y enfatiza en la necesidad de fortalecer la legislación ambiental para alcanzar compromisos duraderos que logren salvaguardar estos ecosistemas y los valores culturales, espirituales y sociales asociados

Sibsonian and non-Sibsonian natural neighbour interpolation of the total electron content value

In radioastronomy the interferometric measurement between radiotelescopes located relatively close to each other helps removing ionospheric effects. Unfortunately, in case of networks such as LOw Frequency ARray (LOFAR), due to long baselines (currently up to 1500 km), interferometric methods fail to provide sufficiently accurate ionosphere delay corrections. Practically it means that systems such as LOFAR need external ionosphere information, coming from Global or Regional Ionospheric Maps (GIMs or RIMs, respectively). Thanks to the technology based on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), the scientific community is provided with ionosphere sounding virtually worldwide. In this paper we compare several interpolation methods for RIMs computation based on scattered Vertical Total Electron Content measurements located on one thin ionospheric layer (Ionospheric Pierce Points—IPPs). The results of this work show that methods that take into account the topology of the data distribution (e.g., natural neighbour interpolation) perform better than those based on geometric computation only (e.g., distance-weighted methods).Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version

Caracterización morfométrica y determinación de índices zoométricos de un hato de ganado criollo Blanco Orejinegro (BON) puro, en Pacho (Cundinamarca)

This research was conducted in Pacho, Cundinamarca, Colombia, where cows of the creole breed Blanco Orejinegro were evaluated with the help of a metric tape and zoometric gad. These measures permitted the elaboration of a correlation matrix defining that these animals correspond to a harmonic model. This way, we characterized the morphometrics characteristics of the BON breed. According to the correlation analysis, this study or the present work found that in the 88, 23% of de cases exist a positive correlation between the variables. Therefore, it is defined that these animals of the BON breed have a high degree of harmonicity in their morphostructural model.Esta investigación fue realizada en Pacho, Cundinamarca, Colombia, donde se evaluaron vacas de la raza criolla Blanco Orejinegro (BON), tomando un total de 18 medidas Morfométricas por animal; con la ayuda de algunos materiales tales como cinta métrica y bastón zoométrico. Estas medidas permitieron la elaboración de una matriz de correlaciones para definir si estos animales responden a un modelo armónico; determinando así la “Caracterización Morfométrica de la Raza”. Según el análisis de correlaciones, se encontró que en el 88,23% de los casos existe una correlación positiva entre las variables. Por lo que se define que estos animales de raza BON, poseen un alto grado de armonicidad en su modelo morfoestructural
