En El sueño de Venecia de Paloma Díaz-Mas y en El velázquez de París de Carmen Boullosa, el protagonismo recae en un cuadro y los avatares sufridos por el mismo a lo largo de la historia. El propósito de este estudio es analizar la manera en que el rastreo de la historia de estos cuadros en ambas novelas genera reflexiones de índole pictórica y literaria sobre la naturaleza del arte, el proceso de creación, el carácter de la recepción e interpretación artísticas y el papel de la memoria y el arte tanto pictórico como literario en la recuperación o invención del pasado

Max Frisch: Tagebuch 1946-1949 y Tagebuch 1966-1971. «Literarisches Tagebuch als Kunstform»

Max Frisch’s Diary 1946-1949 and the Diary 1966-1971 established a model of literary Diary where the autobiographical function, characteristic of this form, and the artistic function are both involved. In this paper there is a first part dedicated to define the several characteristics of a literary Diary. In the second part technical resources according to which Max Frisch arranges in sequences the different parts ficticious as well as autobiographical— of the first Diary 1946-1949 are analised and treated. Topical cores and spatial setting reach there a special relevance. In the third part, the second Diary 1966-1971 is analised in the same way as the first one: The text arrangement and the use of different types of letter are here specially relevant as composition elements. After analising both Diaries we are able to confirm the hypothesis we had stated at the beginning: that the Diary 1946-1949 and the Diary 1966-1971 are actually literary texts produced and created as artistic/literary works. And there is no trace of an autobiographical aim in the work neither in its specific parts

Sports analytics is defined as the process that identifies and acquires knowledge and insight about players and teams’ performances. To do so, analysts use a wide variety of data sources coming from matches and individual players’ performances (O'Donoghue & Holmes 2014; Jayal, McRobert, Oatley & O’Donoghue, 2018). Nowadays, detailed data from different nature including technical skills, individual physiological performances, team formations, or injuries are analysed on a daily basis by the analytics departments belonging to sports clubs and professional franchises. Even private companies like STATS or OPTA generate important revenues offering their movement tracking values and advanced metrics to media and fans. In the emerging field of Sports Analytics, as in many others, analysts must be aware of spurious correlations. These can come up due to the size (not nature) of data, a common-causal variable or just due to serendipity. For this reason, we always must keep in mind the lessons of the statistician Stephen John Senn and his sharp quote on the matter: “Statistics is not just about merely warning that correlation is not causation. Sometimes correlation isn’t even correlation”. Thus, we will explain an example of how climate change can be affecting, or not, on the FIFA World Cup performance statistics

El empleo subvencionado : entre las políticas activas de empleo y la mutación del salario

En los últimos años han ido ganando peso en Europa las políticas que, con el objetivo de crear empleo, ofrecen algún tipo de subvención al empleo. Este tipo de políticas, con dispositivos de intervención variados, se sitúan a menudo dentro del capítulo de políticas activas destinadas a la creación de empleo, vinculándose a menudo con la política europea de empleo. El artículo proviene de una investigación europea que a modo comparativo pretendía establecer diferencias y tendencias comunes y, en este sentido, consiste en una conceptualización del empleo subvencionado y de sus modalidades existentes, especialmente en España, y comparándola con medidas de otros países europeos. Finalmente, se indican tendencias que enuncian estos dispositivos en la transformación de la relación salarial.In recent years national state policies in Europe have developed some mechanisms of subvention to employment with the objective of creating employment. This kind of subsidies, with different types of intervention, are often situated in the side of active policies, linked frequently with European employment strategy. The article derives from a comparative European research project that tries to establish differences and common tendencies in this question. In this sense, the article offers a conceptualisation of subsidised employment and its different types, especially on the Spanish case and compares it with other European countries. Finally, it shows some tendencies that announce that these interventions hint towards a wage relation mutation

Ámbito de aplicación actual de los indicadores de salud ambiental

Se analizan las políticas tanto de la Unión Europea como de la Organización Mundial de la Salud con el objetivo de establecer indicadores de corrección de contaminación. La salud ambiental basa sus directrices en la prevención de las enfermedades y en la creación de entornos saludables, tomando como referencia los riesgos y efectos sobre la salud humana. Estos factores representan, el medio que habita, donde trabaja, los cambios naturales o artificiales que ese lugar manifiesta y la contaminación producida por el mismo ser humano a ese medio. Con el objetivo de reducir ese impacto, se han desarrollado políticas ambientales, que permitan incrementar la inversión para el desarrollo de la salud, consolidar y expandir las políticas de colaboración entre países, para consolidar una infraestructura que permita mejorar la salud y establecer responsabilidades públicas.The policies are analyzed both of the European Union and of the World Health Organization by the aim to establish indicators for correction of pollution. Environmental Health bases its guidelines on preventing disease and creating health-supportive environments. It concerned with the risks and effects on human health represent the means living and where you work, natural or artificial changes to the site represents and pollution caused by human beings themselves to that medium. In order to reduce this impact, environmental policies have been developed, which increase investment for health development, consolidating and expanding cooperation policies between countries to build an infrastructure to improve public health and establish public responsibilities
