    The foundation and endowment of the chapel of St. Peter in the Cathedral of Toledo

    En 1415 don Sancho de Rojas fue nombrado arzobispo de Toledo por el papa Benedicto XIII. A pesar de su escasa presencia en la sede primada, don Sancho se preocupó por la continuidad de las obras que estaban en marcha en la Catedral y, especialmente, por la dotación y fundación de una capilla que habría de servirle como lugar de enterramiento. El arzobispo falleció en 1422 sin ver acabada la obra y fueron sus testamentarios los que se encargaron de llevarla a término y dictar las constituciones. En el presente artículo se estudia ese proceso, precisando algunos datos mal conocidos, y se especifica el ajuar litúrgico con que fue dotada la capilla por parte del prelado.In 1415 Don Sancho de Rojas was appointed archbishop of Toledo by Pope Benedict XIII. In spite of his scant presence in the Primatial See, Don Sancho concerned himself with the continuity of the works which were in progress at the cathedral and, especially, with the endowment and foundation of a chapel which would be his burial place. The archbishop died in 1422 but did no see his work finished. It was the executors of his will who took over carrying it out and establishing its constitution. In the present article we study that process, specifying some not well known facts, and state the liturgical accessories with which the prelate endowed his chapel.Junta Castilla y León LEO92A11-

    Forest bathing is a nature immersion practice that reduces stress, restores mental resources, and has a wide variety of use cases in the treatment of mental illnesses. Since many people who need the benefits of forest bathing have little access to nature, virtual reality (VR) is being explored as a tool for delivering accessible immersive nature experiences via virtual nature environments (VNE's). Research on VNE's mainly utilizes the audiovisual capabilities of VR, but since forest bathing is a fully multisensory experience, further investigations into the integration of other sensory technologies, namely smell and temperature, are essential for the future of VNE research.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figure

    Este artículo desarrolla un análisis acerca de las cuestiones metodológicas y epistemológicas que se encuentran en la investigación en ciencias sociales, a partir de diversas reflexiones en torno al abordaje de las perspectivas de la decolonialidad y la colabor, contemplándole desde sus fortalezas y posibilidades para una investigación que contribuya al agenciamiento de niños y jóvenes. En un primer momento se explicitan algunas condiciones de la investigación en América Latina, posteriormente se centra en generar una deliberación sobre el conocimiento, la construcción del mismo, desde el enfoque decolonial, para finalizar con la pregunta por la investigación en colabor como aporte concreto para minimizar las asimetrías investigativas de cara a la construcción de paz, clausurando con el cierre de lo expresado. // This article develops an analysis on methodological and epistemological issues found in research in social sciences from various reflections on the approach prospects decoloniality and collaborated, watching him from their strengths and possibilities for research contributing to the assemblage of children and youth.     Virtual Reality Environment Of Excavator Training For Operation License

    In 2018 unfilled construction worker jobs rose to 404,000[1]. This was an all-time high, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey. The government has no restrictions for operating an excavator; however, it is impossible to get a job without any operation and competency documentation. For this documentation, an employer could be looking at about $1000 for the most highly recognized training, which must be reinstated every five years. Excavation operation is a highly sought-after profession, and jobs are expected to rise by over 10% until 2028. The NSF EPSCoR research project is creating a Virtual Reality environment that will allow both residential and commercial jobs to train and teach employees how to operate excavators safely and competently. The Virtual Reality scenario will also allow employers to reduce the cost of operation and competency training.     Improvement of the Coupling of Renewable Sources through Z-Source Converters Based on the Study of Their Dynamic Model

    The classical coupling of renewable energy sources greatly limits the coupling power and the output voltage of the coupled sources. Moreover, it does not eliminate the randomness of the sources. In this work a renewable sources coupling with high randomness is obtained by series connection of the output terminals of Z-source converters. To achieve the coupling, the stationary and dynamic models of a Z-source-based converter have been studied. With the results of the stationary model, the converter behavior has been evaluated as a function of its parameters and a method for calculating the Z-network parameters has been implemented. Moreover, with the dynamic model a controller has been designed for all the converters. The main contributions of this work are the coupling of the sources, the stationary and dynamic models obtained and their analysis. The coupling achieves a stable supply avoiding the sources' randomness reaching the load. A system composed of a wind turbine, a set of photovoltaic panels and two groups of batteries has been modeled.
