    A Protocol for the Atomic Capture of Multiple Molecules at Large Scale

    With the rise of service-oriented computing, applications are more and more based on coordination of autonomous services. Envisioned over largely distributed and highly dynamic platforms, expressing this coordination calls for alternative programming models. The chemical programming paradigm, which models applications as chemical solutions where molecules representing digital entities involved in the computation, react together to produce a result, has been recently shown to provide the needed abstractions for autonomic coordination of services. However, the execution of such programs over large scale platforms raises several problems hindering this paradigm to be actually leveraged. Among them, the atomic capture of molecules participating in concur- rent reactions is one of the most significant. In this paper, we propose a protocol for the atomic capture of these molecules distributed and evolving over a large scale platform. As the density of possible reactions is crucial for the liveness and efficiency of such a capture, the protocol proposed is made up of two sub-protocols, each of them aimed at addressing different levels of densities of potential reactions in the solution. While the decision to choose one or the other is local to each node participating in a program's execution, a global coherent behaviour is obtained.     Application of Machine Tools in Orthoses Manufacture

    CNC technology is widely used in the manufacture of medical products. An area in which CNC technology has proven to be extremely useful and innovative is Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P). O&P laboratories are engaged in the manufacture of individual orthoses and prostheses. The usual manual manufacture of such products takes a long time and requires tremendous experience and skill. In this regard, any engineering solution that improves the quality of the production process; reduces production time, production costs, and physical human labor; and at the same time improves the environmental conditions of the production environment will be desirable. Various designs of CNC machine tools for the manufacture of orthoses or molds for their production are in use today. In most cases, customized commercially available numerical control lathes and milling machines are used, as well as industrial robotic arms, but there are also highly specialized designs. For the mentioned purpose, we also encounter the application of additive manufacturing (AM) devices. Due to the fact that issuing of orthoses is often the subject of cost reduction in healthcare systems, the pursuit of production systems that will be cost-effective and functional, easily implemented, and used primarily in small manufacturing practices is imperative

    Svakodnevnim povećanjem broja uređaja koji se povezuju na Internet te na taj način komuniciraju, prikupljaju i razmijenjuju podatke, dolazi do potrebe za sve većim brojem IP adresa. Zbog ograničenog broja adresa koje nudi IPv4 protokol, IPv6 po tom pitanju nudi rješenje za Internet stvari. IPv6 Internet stvarima osim povećanog broja IP adresa nudi i razne druge pogodnosti i mogućnosti kao što su veća sigurnost, mobilnost. Internet stvari zahtjevaju arhitekture softvera koje su u mogućnosti nositi se sa velikom količinom podataka i zahtjevima. IoT uređaji zahtjevaju komunikaciju niske potrošnje te su zbog toga definirani protokoli na različitim slojevima LLN stoga, uključujući 6LoWPAN sloj adaptacije, RPL protokol usmjeravanja te CoAP protokol web prijenosa. U samo godinu dana, broj IoT uređaja povezanih na internet porastao je sa 5 milijuna na nekoliko milijardi. Mnogo se novaca ulaže u razvoj takvih uređaja i njihov će broj zasigurno i dalje rast

    Današnji sedentarni način života uzrokovao je čitav niz problema za ljudski organizam. Upravo je to razlog potrebe za istraživanjem kako koji program treninga utječe na ljudski organizam. CILJ: Primarni je cilj istraživanja utvrditi utječe li i u kojoj mjeri kompleksni trening (visoko intenzivni intervalni trening) na promjene u sastavu tijela i pojedinim motoričkim sposobnostima. METODE RADA: 16 ispitanika koji su koristili kompleksni trening (dob AS±SD 26,87±3,98, visina 178,81±8,93,masa78,66±9,71) sudjelovalo je u ovom istraživanju. Program je trajao šest tjedana, primjenjivao se visoko intenzivni intervalni trening s elementima razvoja snage. REZULTATI: Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da visoko intenzivni intervalni trening utječe pozitivno na motoričke sposobnosti (statičku i dinamičku snagu) (p<0,01). Također primjetan je pozitivan utjecaj na promjene kožnih nabora gornjeg dijela tijela (p<0,01) dok kod nabora donjeg dijela tijela i opsega nema statistički značajnih promjena, ali je zabilježena pozitivna tendencija promjena. Analizom rezultata ispitanika koji je uz trening primjenjivao i korigirani program prehrane utvrđen je bolji napredak kod promjena u sastavu tijela u odnosu na ispitanike koji su samo trenirali bez korekcije prehrane. ZAKLJUČAK: Kompleksni visoko intenzivni intervalni trening pozitivno utječe na mjerene motoričke sposobnosti i pojedine od mjerenih kožnih nabora. Primjenom treninga i korekcijom prehrane primjećen je bolji napredak. Sukladno tome preporučuje se ponovljeno istraživanje koje bi uz trening uključivalo i korekciju prehrane, ali na većem uzorku.Today's sedentary lifestyle has caused a number of problems for the human body. This is precisely the reason why there is a need to explore how the training program affects the human body. OBJECTIVE: Primary objective of the study is to determine if, and to what extent, a specific functional training (high intensity interval training) affects body composition and individual motoric abilities. METHODS: 16 recreational athletes (age AS±SD 26,87±3,98, height 178,81±8,93, and weight78,66±9,71) participated in this study. The program lasted for six weeks, high-intensity interval training with elements for power development was applied.RESULTS: The results show that high-intensity interval training has a positive effect on motor skills (P <0.01). Also notable, is the positive impact on the changes of skin creases of the upper part of the body (p <0.01) while the creases and the radius of the lower body were statistically not changed, but we observed a positive trend in some participants. By analyzing the results of the participants who, except for the training program applied an adjusted diet program, better progress was found in body composition changes in relation the participants that only trained without any diet program. CONCLUSION: This high-intensity interval training program has a positive effect on the measured motor abilities and some of the measured skin creases. By applying the training program with a correction in eating habits, better progress noted. Accordingly, it is recommends to repeat the research that will have a diet program included, but on a larger sample

    Ovim radom je prikazan cjelokupni rast i razvoj paprike, od pripreme sjemena, sjetve, tretiranja protiv bolesti te na samom kraju berbe. Najznačajnije bolesti na paprici su polijeganje rasada uzrokovane gljivama Rhizoctonia solani, Sclerotinia spp., Pythium spp., Phytophthora capisici, Fusarium sp. i plamenjača uzrokovana gljivom Peronospora tabacina. Javljaju se gotovo svake godine samo u različitoj mjeri, ovisno o vremenskim prilikama te se svake godine obavljaju preventivna i, po potrebi, kurativna tretiranja. Na PG- u Grgić osim bolesti, značajne štete ovisno o godini pričinjava kukuruzni moljac Ostrinia nubilalis.This paper presents the entire growth and development of peppers: seed preparation, sowing, disease treatment and, at the end, harvest. The most important diseases of pepper are the seedling diseases caused by fungi Rhizoctonia solani, Sclerotinia spp., Pythium spp., Phytophthora capisici, Fusarium sp. and downy mildew caused by the fungus Peronospora tabacina. They occur almost every year just to varying degrees, depending on weather conditions, therefore preventive and, if necessary, curative treatments are performed every year.
