    PEMBELAJARAN QUANTUM TEACHING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII SMP KATOLIK SINT ALOYSIUS NIKI-NIKI KABUPATEN TIMOR TENGAH SELATAN

    This study aims to determine the effect of the Quantum Teaching model on the learning outcomes of seventh grade students of Sint Aloysius Niki-Niki Catholic Middle School. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method and the research design used is the Nonrandomized Control group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were all seventh grade students of Sint Aloysius Niki-Niki Catholic Middle School. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results showed that the post test score in the experimental class that applied the Quantum Teaching model was higher, namely 86.37 compared to the control class who applied the conventional learning model, namely 69.13. Anacova test results show the calculated F value is 0,000 or less than 0.05. This shows that H0 which states that there is no effect of the Quantum Teaching model on the learning outcomes of seventh grade students of Sint Aloysius Niki-Niki Catholic Middle School is rejected and the consequence is that Ha states that there is an effect of the Quantum Teaching model on the learning outcomes of seventh grade students of SMP Catholic Sint Aloysius Niki Niki accepted. The results of the activities of students who took part in the experimental class were also higher at 90%. compared to the control class, namely 86.65%. ABSTRAK Bakteri selulolitik memiliki kemampuan menguraikan selulosa menjadi monomer glukosa dan menjadikannya sebagai sumber karbon dan sumber energi. Pemanfaatan bakteri selulolitik yaitu sebagai penghasil enzim selulase yang dapat digunakan untuk menghidrolisis selulosa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi, mengkarakterisasi, dan mengidentifikasi atau menentukan hubungan kekerabatan bakteri selulolitik dari kotoran Sapi Bali (Bos sondaicus) di Timor Tengah Selatan Isolasi bakteri selulolitik dari kotoran Sapi Bali di Timor Tengan Selatan pada tiga tempat pemeliharaan sapi yaitu di sekitar Danau Supul, di lokasi karantina sapi, dan sistem pemeliharaan secara liar dilakukan dengan metode spread plate pada media Carboximetil celulosa (CMC). Aktivitas selulolitik dilihat adanya zona bening menggunakan indikator Congo red 0.1%. Amplifikasi gen 16S rRNA dilakukan dengan identifikasi mengunakan perangkat BLAST pada NCBI untuk mengetahui similaritas bakteri selulolitik. Hubungan kekerabatan bakteri selulolitik dianalisis menggunakan sofware MEGA 7.0 Hasil penelitian diperoleh 48 isolat bakteri menunjukan aktivitas selulale dan terdapat 12 isolat mempunyai aktivitas selulase tinggi dalam mengdegradasi selulosa yaitu isolat K1H6, K2H3, L2H7, S1H6, S2H5, K2H4, K1H2, S2H7, K3H2, S3H1, L1H4, dan L1H5 masing-masing dengan aktivitas selulase sebesar 7,08, 5,88, 5,82, 5,22, 5,07, 4,53, 3,36, 2,91, 2,67, 1,89, 1,55, 1,47. Berdasarkan analisis gen penyandi 16S rRNA 12 isolat bakteri selulolitik aktivitas tinggi mempunya kemiripan dengan Pseudomonas sp, Acinotobacter sp, Bacillus Cereus, Stenotrophomonas, dan Brachybacterium sp. Terdapat tujuh isolat bakteri yang mempunyai potensi untuk dinyatakan sebagai spesies bakteri baru dengan presentasi similaritas < 97% yaitu isolat SIH6, S2H5, K2H3, K2H4, LIH4, LIH5, L2H7. Pada presentasi similaritas 97-99% yang menunjukan kesamaan genus yaitu isolat S2H7, S3H1, K1H2, K1H6, dan K3H2. Berdasarkan pohon filogenetik bakteri selulolitik menunjukan hubungan kekerabatan terdekat 0,0% yaitu isolat S2H7 dengan K2H4, Isolat S1H6 dengan K2H4, dan Isolat S2H7 dengan S1H6 dan isolat yang menunjukan jarak genetik terjauh 19,3% adalah isolat L2H7 dengan Brachybacterium sp.     Langmuir and Freundlich Equation Test on Methylene Blue Adsorption by Using Coconut Fiber Biosorbent

    Methylene blue is a cationic dye often used for various industries. Methylene blue waste harms aquatic biota. Most ways have been done to reduce the methylene blue pollution that includes photocatalytic, electrochemical, and adsorption. This study aimed to reduce the impact of methylene blue pollution on the aquatic environment and to test the adsorption isothermal for methylene blue adsorption using coconut fiber. The abundant coconut fiber waste around the Kupang city was taken and prepared to be used as an adsorbent. The characterization results showed that the active groups in cellulose were clearly described on the FTIR spectra which showed the presence of  O-H vibrations at 3296.35 cm-1, C-O vibrations were seen at 1267.23 and 1060.85 cm-1, at wavelengths 1608.63 cm-1 and 817.72 cm-1 there is a vibration from the C=C bond, while the C-H vibration appears at a wavelength of 2939.52 cm-1. The results of this research analysis showed that the adsorption of methylene blue according to the Langmuir isotherm indicated by the value of the equation of the straight line R2 being one and the direction of the curve depicting occurring the effective adsorption. The maximum adsorption capacity was 4.467 mg g-1 with the percentage of methylene blue adsorbed at 99.3%. Adsorption occurs chemically with an energy of 27.29 kJmol-1 so it can be determined that the adsorption occurs with a monolayer mechanism

    Kajian Kinetika Adsorpsi Metilen Biru Menggunakan Adsorben Sabut Kelapa

    Metilen biru merupakan zat warna yang digunakan secara luas dalam berbagai industri namun memiliki dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengurangi dampak pencemaran metilen biru pada lingkungan air. Sabut kelapa yang diambil dari pedagang kaki lima di Kota Kupang dijadikan adsorben untuk adsorpsi metilen biru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adsorpsi metilen biru terjadi secara optimal pada pH 7 selama 75 menit adsorpsi dengan persentase adsorpsi sebesar 99,14%. Hasil analisis kinetika reaksi adsorpsi menunjukkan bahwa adsorpsi metilen biru menggunakan adsorben sabut kelapa mengikuti model kinetika reaksi pseudo orde dua dengan laju konstanta adsorpsi sebesar 0,01 gram mg-1 menit-1

    Endophy Bacterial Phenoty of Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis miller) as the Producer of Antibacterial Compounds Towards Eschericia coli and Staphylococcus aureus

    The aims of this research are to isolate endophytic bacteria in aloe vera, to determine the antibacterial ability of endophytic bacteria contained in aloe vera against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria and to determine the characterization of endophytic bacteria found in aloe vera. This research is a laboratory experimental study with research procedures, namely sampling by purposive sampling method, isolation of endophytic bacteria carried out by strake plate, antibacterial potential test against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli using paper disc diffusion method, Morphological identification was carried out by staining bacteria gram, Phenotypic characterization of endophytic bacteria using Profile matching method. The results showed that endophytic bacteria found in aloe vera leaves were characterized by the growth of bacterial colonies on Murashige-Skoog (MS) media with different shapes and colors, the results of the antibacterial potential of endophytes against the growth of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus showed that there were 6 bacterial isolates that showed clear zones in Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and characterization results showed that isolates H2L, H9L and H10L had similar genera to Staphylococcus and Bacillus while isolates H4L, H5L and H7L had similar genera to Pseudomonas

    Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Diskusi Kelas Strategi Beach Ball Terhadap Hasil Belajar IPA Peserta Didik

    Abstract: The cause of the low student learning outcomes is the learning process in the classroom which is still teacher-centered. The learning model that can increase student activity in class is the Beach Ball strategy class discussion model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Beach Ball strategy class discussion model on science learning outcomes for Grade VIII students on the subject of the human digestive system at SMPN 2 Kupang Tengah. The design used in this research is nonequivalent control group design. The results showed that the average student learning outcomes in the experimental class obtained a pretest score of 41.86 which increased to 80.31 after being given a posttest. Whereas in the control class the pretest score was 45.47 which increased to 74.11 after being given the posttest. Based on the results of the one-way Anacova test, a probability value (sig) of 0.000 is lower than the set value of 0.05. This shows that Ha (Beach Ball strategy class discussion model is effective on student learning outcomes) is accepted and H0 the Beach Ball strategy class discussion model is not effective on student learning outcomes) is rejected. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the Beach Ball strategy class discussion model is effective on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMPN 2 Kupang Tengah.Keywords:  Effectiveness, Class Discussion, Beach Ball, Learning Outcomes, Food DigestionAbstrak: Penyebab rendahnya hasil belajar siswa adalah proses pembelajaran di kelas yang masih berpusat pada guru. Model pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan keaktifan siswa di kelas adalah model diskusi kelas strategi Beach Ball. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas model diskusi kelas strategi Beach Ball terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII pada materi sistem pencernaan makanan pada manusia di SMPN 2 Kupang Tengah.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode Eksperimen Semu. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai pretest sebesar 41,86 meningkat menjadi 80,31 setelah diberikan posttest. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol nilai pretest adalah 45,47 meningkat menjadi 74,11 setelah diberikan posttest. Berdasarkan hasil uji anacova satu jalur diperoleh nilai probabilitas (sig) sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari nilai yang ditetapkan sebesar 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Ha (model diskusi kelas strategi Beach Ball efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa) diterima dan H0 model diskusi kelas strategi Beach Ball tidak efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa)ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa model diskusi kelas strategi Beach Ball efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 2 Kupang Tengah. Kata Kunci: Efektif, Diskusi Kelas, Beach Ball, Hasil Belajar, Pencernaan Makana

    Health problems in Indonesia that continue to grow forcing the emergence of policies related to health that regulates many aspects, including diet. The Healthy Four Perfect Five program that was previously promoted by the government was deemed inappropriate and could be misleading, because the food guidelines provided could actually become unhealthy if the portions and nutrition were not balanced. After participating in socialization activities, various forms of community responses emerged, such as, 1) so far they did not realize that struke, diabetes and other nutritional deficiencies occurred not because of incorrect food consumption patterns, 2) the consequences of understanding from the first point, namely they will consume nutritious foods with the largest portion when the food is available, instead they will consume foods with unbalanced proportions and very low nutritional value, 3) the new knowledge they get from this socialization is that the pattern of food consumption must vary in proportions that fit the proper nutritional adequacy.Keywords: Nutrition consumption, balanced nutrition, nasipanaf communit

    Isolations andAntibacterial Tests of Aloe Vera Endophytic Bacteria (Aloe barbadensis miller) towards Staphylococcus aureus and Eschericia coli

    Research in the field of microbiology regarding the identification of endophytic bacteria in aloe vera is still rarely carried out while many people in East Nusa Tenggara often use aloe vera to cure diseases. The purpose of this study was to identify the endophytic bacteria Aloe barbadensis miller and to determine its antibacterial ability against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Escsherichia coli bacteria.  The research procedures included taking samples using purposive sampling method, isolating endophytic bacteria using streak plate method, testing the antibacterial potential against Staphylococcus aureus and Eschericia coli using the paper disc diffusion method. The results showed that endophytic bacteria found on aloe vera leaves were marked by the growth of several bacterial colonies on Murashige-Skoog media with different shapes and colors, then the colonies were separated and 8 isolates were obtained with isolate codes C1B, C2B, C3B, C4B, C5B, C6B, C7B and C8B. The results of the antibacterial potency test showed that isolates C1B, C3B, C5B and C8B had the potential to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus characterized by the presence of a clear zone on the surface of the media with the largest size being 20 mm in isolate C1B and the smallest clear zone being 7 mm in isolate C8B, while isolate C1B, C3B, C5B and C8B have the potential to inhibit the growth of Eschericia coli bacteria characterized by the presence of a clear zone on the surface of the media with the largest size of 10 mm in isolate C1B and the smallest clear zone of 7 mm in isolate C8B. The conclusion of this study is that endophytic bacteria have been identified in aloe vera and some of these bacteria have antibacterial abilities against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria

    Abstract This PKM is conducted at Sint Vianney Middle School which is located at JLN. I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Kampung Baru Village, Soe City District, TTS Regency, NTT Province. The resulting target is an increase in the ability of teachers to design learning devices that meet the standards of the learning process, improvement in the ability of teachers to develop assessment instruments for aspects of knowledge (KI 3) that include high order thinking skills (High Order Thingking Skill / HOT), skills (KI 4 ), and optimizing the use of practical tools and materials in schools and the surrounding environment in the process of developing learning tools. Activities that have been carried out to achieve the above PKM targets consist of a lesson plan phase in the Lesson Study Learning Community (LSLC) system, namely:1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Planning the PKM activity schedule with the team leader, members and teachers in the school.2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Seminar on the implementation of the LSLC system, development of learning tools, and assessment instruments that meet the process standards and assessment standards in the 2013 curriculum.3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Lesson plan in the Lesson Study Learning Community (LSLC) system. &nbsp; Keywords: Lesson Plan, LSLC, High Order Thingking Abstrak PKM ini dilakukan di SMPK Sint Vianney yang beralamat di JLN.
