Polscy pisarze wobec faszyzmu
Gasification of Miscanthus x giganteus Pellets in a Fixed bed Pilot-scale Unit
Gasification of Miscanthus x giganteus (Mxgig), is highly promising due to the high efficiency of the process and the many advantageous properties of this crop. Pilot-scale, fixed bed gasification studies were performed utilizing this fuel at three temperatures (750, 850, and 950 degrees C) to determine the process effects of temperature on gas quality and tar yields. Simple thermodynamic equilibrium modeling was successfully applied to the pilot-scale gasification process. The Mxgig crop performed well, with best process stability reached at temperatures of 800 degrees C or higher. Average calorific values of the product gases were highest at around 850 degrees C at 5.2 MJ.m(-3). Tar yields gradually increased with increasing temperature and dropped after 900 degrees C. The presented thermodynamic equilibrium model conformed well with experimental results, deviating little in terms of O-2, CO2, H-2, and CH4 and no more than 8.1% in the case of CO. This indicates that simple modeling methods can be utilized to predict gas compositions for the pilot-scale.Web of Science6art. no. UNSP 9

Quality assessment of musical and speech signals broadcasted via Single Frequency Network DAB+
Paper presents the results of quality assessment of speech and music signals transmitted via DAB+ system with the use of Single Frequency Network (SFN). The musical signals have been evaluated in overall quality domain. The subjective research was provided with the use of Absolute Category Rating procedure according to the ITU recommendation and the results have been presented as the MOS values for various bit rates. The speech signals were additionally examined with PESQ method. The results have shown that the assumed quality of 4 MOS, for this kind of broadcasting could be achieved at 48 kb/s for speech and 64 kb/s for music. This fact was confirmed by both: subjective and objective research. The comparison between the results obtained for SFN broadcasting with three emitters with single-emitter broadcast has been presented

Popers From the International Conference, Białystok, September 14 - 17, 1987.The Boćki pink as has special importance for the history of the Jewish community from the end of the 18th century. It is strongly recommended to publish the pinkas (characterized with insight by Shmuel A. Arthur Cygielman) in „Błeter far Geszichte" in Hebrew, with Polish and English commentaries.
With reference to Jakub Goldberg's paper it should be noticed that the function of Jewish innkeepers was more than inducing heavy drinking since the inns were also scenes of services, culture and entartainment, as well as social and political activities.82-8
Objective Assessment of the Speech Quality Broadcasted by Local Digital Radio in Selected Locations in Wroclaw
The development of digital radio, observed in recent years, and the advantages offered by this medium are resulting in the expansion of the audience. In order to ensure the proper quality of broadcasting, it is necessary to monitor this quality. The assessment based on listening tests is very expensive and organizationally inconvenient. The development of methods for objective evaluation of signals makes it possible to monitor the quality of transmitted content, without the need for troublesome procedures associated with subjective evaluation. The good correlation of subjective evaluation and objective measurements in the transmission of perceptually encoded signals, reported in the literature, may allow for random quality monitoring. The authors decided to test the feasibility of using two objective evaluation methods to assess the quality of the speech signal transmitted on digital radio by comparing the results obtained with the subjective evaluation. The paper presents the results of objective measurements of speech quality transmitted via Digital Audio Broadcasting+ in Wroclaw agglomeration. Measurements have been done in various city sites in order to determine the influence of the location on speech quality. The obtained results of the assessment performed by the use of two methods of testing: PESQ and POLQA, allowed to find a correlation between the objective and subjective results of quality evaluations. The method of objective testing may be used for monitoring the quality of signals in Digital Audio Broadcasting networks especially spoken broadcasts
Subjective Assessment of the Speech Signal Quality Broadcasted by Local Digital Radio in Selected Locations in Wroclaw under Studio and Home Conditions
In October 2018, local digital radio was launched to cover the agglomeration of Wroclaw. The implementation of this undertaking required many tests, including qualitative ones, that refer to both music and speech. This paper presents the results of subjective tests based on the evaluation of speech quality of signals recorded at various points in Wroclaw. Measurements were carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the International Telecommunication Union as well as in ordinary acoustic conditions in listeners’ flats. The rating was made for male and female voices. The most important conclusion is that for speech signal assessment in meaning of the quality the test conditions do not influence the obtained results. The other fact confirmed in the experiment was that the receiving place of DAB+ signal in the Single-Frequency Network also does not affected the perceived voice quality
Lay-Out and Spatial Development of Towns from Great Poland in the 13th Century – Preliminary Research
This paper deals with the problem of shaping landscape. The examples of towns of Great Poland from the 13th century were implemented and used. Their layout was not accidental. Towns were created with a substantial dose of accuracy. A market square was precisely laid out; roads were turned straight to the nearby towns, and plots were created for townsmen. It tended to be the final product of human thought and idea. The comparison of towns’ sizes shows that the same measures and similar schemes were used. In a medieval town each and every aspect was carefully planned and wellthought- out, but sometimes it was modified due to the terrain. Subsequent generations interpreted landscape on their own and occasionally changed the layout of a town. The contemporary appearance of towns is a product of thought materialisation in the living space. That is why the landscape of towns can be analysed and read
