    Review of microgrid benchmark networks & standards

    The SIRFN Microgrid Task has a particular focus on laboratory testing and validation of components and systems related to microgrids. The task brings together a network of test laboratories and researchers to share best practices and devise common methods of testing. The high level overview of the task activities is shown in the poster, where it can be seen that the activities range from exchange of knowledge and experiences to definition of benchmarks and laboratory implementation of testing procedures related to test cases. The poster will present an overview of the Microgrid task and its recent work on reviewing microgrid benchmark networks and standards relating to microgrids

    Questa guida nasce da un'equilibrata e consolidata collaborazione, che vede Pediatri di Famiglia (PdF) e Odontoiatri alleati nella campagna di prevenzione delle patologie odontoiatriche in etĂ  pediatrica, mettendo cosi in atto un progetto inter-societario. Nasce, certamente, con lo scopo specifico di affrontare la prevenzione delle patologie orali ma anche con quello di promuovere un rapido riconoscimento di queste patologie al fine di indirizzare i bambini e gli adolescenti alla consulenza odontoiatrica nei tempi e nei modi corretti e condivisi. L'impostazione schematica e pragmatica con cui e stata costruita fa di questa guida un valido strumento al quale il pediatra puĂČ facilmente attingere quando, soprattutto in termini di prevenzione, si trova di fronte ad un piccolo paziente che ha (o potrebbe avere) patologie di pertinenza di quest'ambito specialistico. La Guida, inoltre, fornisce cenni completi per l'inquadramento di molte patologie con le quali ci si confronta durante l'attivitĂ  quotidiana

    Harmony Search Algorithm Based Management of Distributed Energy Resources and Storage Systems in Microgrids

    Microgrids are composed of distributed energy resources (DERs), storage devices, electric vehicles, flexible loads and so on. They may either operate connected to the main electricity grid (on-grid operation) or separated from the grid (islanded operation). The outputs of the renewable energy sources may fluctuate and thus can cause deviations in the voltage magnitudes especially at islanded mode. This may affect the stability of the microgrids. This paper proposes an optimization model to efficiently manage controllable devices in microgrids aiming to minimize the voltage deviations both in on-grid and islanded operation modes. RSE Distributed Energy Resources Test Facility (DER-TF), which is a low voltage microgrid system in Italy, is used to verify the algorithm. The test system's data is taken through an online software system (REDIS) and a harmony search based optimization algorithm is applied to control the device parameters. The experimental results show that the harmony search based optimization approach successfully finds the control parameters, and can help the system to obtain a better voltage profile
