    Program PPL Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta yang dilaksanakan pada semester khusus tahun 2014 memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa UNY untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam bidang pendidikan. SD Negeri Golo merupakan salah satu sekolah yang ditunjuk oleh pihak UNY untuk menjadi lokasi PPL pada tahun 2014. Tujuan dari progran PPL adalah untuk memberikan pengalaman kepada mahasiswa dalam bidang manajerial dan pembelajaran di sekolah; memberikan pengalaman kepada mahasiswa dalam rangka melatih dan mengembangkan profesionalismenya dalam bidang keguruan atau pendidikan; memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk mengenal, belajar, dan memahami seluk beluk sekolah dengan segala permasalahannya; serta memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk menerapkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan yang telah dimiliki dalam proses pembelajaran. Program PPL ini meliputi pelaksanaan praktik mengajar terbimbing sebanyak 8 kali yang dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 11 Agustus 2014 sampai dengan 22 Agustus 2014 dan praktik mengajar mandiri sebanyak 1 kali yang dilaksanakan tanggal 23 Agustus 2014, serta dilaksanakan ujian praktik mengajar sebanyak dua kali yang dilaksanakan tanggal 27 dan 30 Agustus 2014. Praktik mengajar terbimbing, praktik mengajar mandiri, dan ujian ini meliputi pembuatan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, persiapan media, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan kegiatan PPL meliputi tiga tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Tahapan persiapan PPL meliputi tahap observasi sekolah, penyusunan program, dan pengajuan proposal. Tahap pelaksanaan meliputi praktik mengajar terbimbing, mandiri, dan ujian. Tahap evaluasi sebagai refleksi keberhasilan program yang telah dilaksanakan. Pada pelaksanaan PPL di SD Negeri Golo berjalan dengan baik. Meskipun terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi, akan tetapi dengan kerja sama yang solid antara para mahasiswa PPL sehingga dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang ada. Dukungan dari berbagai pihak terutama pihak sekolah sendiri sangat membantu kelancaran pelaksanaan PPL di sekolah tersebut

    Beliefs of Pre-Service Teachers at Elementary Teacher Education Study Program on Teaching English to Young Learners

    Abstract Based on previous research, it was revealed that teachers in elementary schools face various obstacles in implementing Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL). In this case, research on teachers’ beliefs is needed because everything they do in class can be reflected in their beliefs toward learning. In the meantime, there has been little research on this subject. Therefore, the aim of this research is to describe the beliefs of pre-service teachers (PST) at an elementary teacher education (ETE) study program on TEYL. This research is a case study. The data was gathered by giving an open questionnaire to PST at ETE of a private universities in Yogyakarta. 95 questionnaires were gathered and then analyzed with a symbolic interactive model that started with data condensation, data display, and data conclusion/verification. The results of the study showed that the PST at ETE has a positive perspective on TEYL because it is considered to support the future of the students. The PST at ETE also believes that students have different characteristics from adult learners in learning a foreign language. In addition, PST at ETE reveals that barriers in TEYL can be caused by factors from students, teachers, and school infrastructure. To optimize TEYL, PST at ETE considered the needs of training for elementary English teachers. The implication of this research is the need for a wider opportunity for PST at ETE to implement TEYL beliefs and theory, which have been learned through real teaching practicum in the classroom. For future researchers, they could examine the connectivity between the beliefs of PST at ETE on TEYL and its implementation in teaching and learning.     HUBUNGAN ANTARA HARGA DIRI DENGAN KEPUASAN KERJA PADA PERAWAT RUMAH SAKIT JIWA DR. AMINO GONDOHUTOMO SEMARANG FAKULTAS PSIKOLOGI UNIVERSITAS DIPONEGORO Disusun oleh : Wahyu Tri Martia 15010113140095 ABSTRAK Pelayanan kualitas rumah sakit salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh para perawat yang bekerja didalamnya. Seorang perawat memberikan pelayanan yang maksimal apabila memiliki kepuasan kerja yang baik. Kepuasan kerja adalah suatu perasaan positif tentang hasil kerja seseorang yang dapat diterima melalui evaluasi kerjanya. Harga diri merupakan evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh individu kepada dirinya sendiri. Perawat yang cenderung memiliki harga diri yang tinggi akan mudah beradaptasi dengan lingkungan serta pekerjaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara harga diri dengan kepuasan kerja pada perawat rumah sakit jiwa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah perawat rawat inap RSJD Dr. Amino Gondohutomo Semarang populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 120 perawat dengan sampel penelitian 75 perawat yang dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random samping. Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua buah skala yaitu Skala Kepuasan Kerja (22 aitem valid, α = 0,993) dan skala harga diri (23 aitem valid, α = 0,986). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (rxy) = 0,387 dengan nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,001). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan peneliti terbukti, yaitu terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara variabel harga diri dengan kepuasan kerja. Semakin tinggi harga diri maka semakin tinggi kepuasan kerja. Sumbangan efektif yang diberikan pada penelitian ini sebesar 14,9 % dan 85,1 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.     PENERAPAN MODEL DIRECT INSTRUCTION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR JURUS TUNGGAL BAKU TANGAN KOSONG DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENCAK SILAT

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan rendahnya hasil belajar dalam pembelajaran pencak silat jurus tunggal baku tangan kosong, yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman dan pengalaman siswa terhadap pembelajaran tersebut. Dalam mengahadapi permasalahan tersebut peneliti berupaya untuk menerapkan model direct instruction karena dengan menerapkan model tersebut, siswa akan diarahkan sesuai intruksi guru secara terstruktur, karena dalam pembelajaran pencak silat terdapat teknik dan gerakan yang cukup kompleks, sehingga dibutuhkan tingkat keseriusan yang tinggi dan keefektifan waktu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penerapan model direct instruction yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar jurus tunggal baku tangan kosong. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dengan partisipannya adalah siswa kelas V SDN Panyirapan 03, yang berjumlah 43 siswa 18 laki-laki dan 25 perempuan. Data penelitian diambil dengan menggunakan format lembar observasi kognitif, afektif (Respek, tanggung jawab, peduli, jujur, adil, dan beradab), dan psikomotor (penilaian baku jurus tunggal). Hasil penelitian mampu memberikan manfaat positif terhadap proses belajar mengajar siswa, antara lain dengan adanya peningkatan dari obervasi awal ke siklus I dan II. Pada aspek kognitif , nilai persentase yang diperoleh 31 % meningkat menjadi 78,86 % , Pada aspek afektif, nilai persentase yang diperoleh 56 % meningkat menjadi 87,12% , Pada aspek psikomotor, nilai persentase yang diperoleh 57 % meningkat menjadi 84,07%. Dengan penelitian ini, penerapan model direct instruction dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar jurus tunggal baku tangan kosong dalam pembelajaran pencak silat pada siswa kelas V.;--This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes in learning martial arts moves raw single bare hands, caused by a lack of understanding and experience of the students towards learning. In facing these problems researchers are working to implement a model of direct instruction for applying the model, students will be directed according to the instruction of teachers in a structured, because in learning martial arts techniques and movements are quite complex, sorequired level of high seriousness and effectiveness of time.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the direct instruction to improve learning outcomes raw single empty-handed stance. The method used in this research is the Classroom Action Research, the participants are students of class V SDN Panyirapan 03, totaling 43 students 18 men and 25 women. The research data were taken using observation sheet format cognitive, affective (Respect, responsibility, caring, honest, fair, and civilized), and psychomotor (single stance raw votes). Results of the study were able to provide a positive benefit to the learning process of students, among others, with an increase from the initial observation to cycle I and II. In the cognitive aspect, percentage obtained a 31% increase to 78.86%, on the affective aspect, percentage obtained 56% increase to 87.12%, On psychomotor aspects, percentage obtained 57% increase to 84.07%.     Smart Home Menggunakan PLC Outseal Berbasis Internet Of Things

    Smart Home is actually a technology-based home. Smart Home technology is increasingly being developed after the discovery of Internet Of Things (IoT) Technology, where home appliances such as lights, fans, televisions, and fences can be controlled remotely. The purpose of this research is to develop a smart home technology that has been made before, by using the Outseal PLC as a controller, the ESP 8266 module as a liaison to the Blynk application, then using a photocell sensor, and a PIR sensor. The way this tool works is when the photocell sensor detects a room that lacks light, the lights will turn on automatically, and turn off automatically when the room gets enough light, and the function of the PIR sensor is to turn on the fan automatically when it detects movement of people entering the room. However the lights and fans can be controlled manually and controlled remotely using the Blynk App. From the results of the tests that have been carried out, the blynk application designed to control the opening and closing of the gate can work well. The PIR sensor works up to a distance of 20 meters, while the lack of light in the room can be detected by the photocell senso

    THE INTEGRATION OF HOTS-ORIENTED INSTRUCTION IN GRAMMAR CLASS

    Commonly, grammar is seen as a rigid, boring course, even less contributing to the improvement of the other English skills. In fact, the purpose of learning grammar is to improve the quality of communication both oral and written. In other words, the better the grammar understanding, the more likely the other skills will increase. The problem found in the field is that grammar has been taught deductively. The accompanying exercises are still in the Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) realm. In fact, there are many models of activities and exercises offered by various sources (textbooks) that support the integration of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), so that grammar learning is more contextual and communicative. Therefore, other macro skills will be promoted. This study describes how HOTS-oriented instruction in grammar class is implemented and how the implementation supports the improvement of students’ macro skills. This study belongs to an Action Research. The data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The gained data were analysed using model from Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014) which includes data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that the HOTS principles were done through employing pictures, videos, brochures as the materials and the exercises designed in various activities such as giving opinion, dialogues, writing simple stories. The HOTS integration yields promotion on students’ macro skills such as writing, reading and speaking. Their works are more meaningful and reach the level of analyzing, not only at the level of remembering and understanding

    The impact of treasure hunt games on learning outcomes in time measurement

    Background: Educational games are increasingly recognized as effective teaching tools, especially in elementary education. This study focuses on the application of a treasure hunt game in teaching mathematics, specifically time measurement concepts, to second-grade students at SD Islam PB Soedirman, Cijantung, East Jakarta.Aim: The primary aim of this research was to assess the impact of the treasure hunt game on the improvement of mathematical learning outcomes among the students.Method: This research adopted a quantitative experimental approach with a Post-test Only Control Group design. The sample consisted of 50 second-grade students divided into two groups: an experimental group (2D) and a control group (2G), each with 25 students. The experimental group was taught using the treasure hunt game, while the control group did not receive any special intervention. Data collection was conducted through observation and objective testing with 13 multiple-choice questions that had been validated. Data analysis was performed using SPSS for testing validity and reliability, as well as for prerequisite and hypothesis testing.Results: The prerequisite test results indicated that the data were homogenous and valid. The hypothesis testing, conducted using a paired t-test, showed a significant value of 0.003 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups.Conclusion: Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the treasure hunt game significantly influences the improvement of mathematical learning outcomes in time measurement for second-grade students. This suggests the effectiveness of game-based learning methods in the context of elementary mathematics education

    Pemahaman masyarakat yang mengikuti tabungan minyak di desa Kantan Atas kecamatan Pandih Batu kabupaten Pulang Pisau menganggap praktik tabungan minyak diperbolehkan dan tidak termasuk riba, hal tersebut membuat peneliti ingin mengkaji bagaimana praktik tabungan minyak di desa Kantan Atas kecamatan Pandih Batu kabupaten Pulang Pisau dan bagaimana praktik tabungan minyak di Desa Kantan Atas kecamatan Pandih Batu kabupaten Pulang Pisau menurut Ekonomi Islam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan metode kualitatif dan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Adapun objek penelitian adalah praktik tabungan minyak di desa Kantan Atas kecamatan Pandih Batu kabupaten Pulang Pisau. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 1) observasi 2) wawancara 3) dokumentasi. Teknik pengabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber yaitu pengumpulan data dan informasi sejenis dari berbagai sumber. Adapun teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan peneliti adalah 1) Data Collection, 2) Data Reduction 3) Data Display, 4) Conclusion Drawing/Verification. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa praktik tabungan minyak di desa Kantan Atas kecamatan Pandih Batu kabupaten Pulang Pisau selain untuk menabung juga memberikan pinjaman kepada anggota dengan memberikan bunga 5% dari uang pokok yang di pinjam. Jika ditinjau dari perspektif ekonomi Islam praktik pemberian bunga pinjaman merupakan riba qard yakni riba yang terjadi ketika ketua tabungan minyak mensyaratkan penambahan pengembalian atas pinjaman yang dilakukan anggota. Kegiatan ini termasuk dalam syirkah dan praktik pemberian bunga pinjaman kepada anggota termasuk kedalam jenis maslahah mulghah, dimana kemaslahatan yang ditolak karena bertentangan dengan hukum syara’. Menurut perspektif ekonomi Islam praktik pemberian bunga pinjaman di desa Kantan Atas dapat mencederai nilai-nilai keadilan dalam berekonomi. This research is a field research with a qualitative method and using a descriptive approach. The object of research is the practice of saving oil in Kantan Atas village, Pandih Batu sub-district, Pulang Pisau district. Data collection techniques in this study used 1) observation 2) interviews 3) documentation. The data validation technique uses source triangulation techniques, namely the collection of data and similar information from various sources. The data collection techniques used by the researcher are 1) Data Collection, 2) Data Reduction, 3) Data Display, 4) Conclusion Drawing/Verification. The results of this study indicate that the practice of saving oil in Kantan Atas village, Pandih Batu sub-district, Pulang Pisau district, in addition to saving, also provides loans to members by providing 5% interest on the principal borrowed. If viewed from the perspective of Islamic economics, the practice of giving interest on loans is usury qard, namely usury that occurs when the head of the oil savings account requires additional returns on loans made by members. This activity is included in syirkah and the practice of giving interest on loans to members is included in the type of maslahah mulghah, where benefits are rejected because they are contrary to syara' law. According to the perspective of Islamic economics, the practice of giving interest on loans in the upper Kantan Atas village can injure the values of justice in the economy
