The remains of a Mudejar church associated with a medieval and modern necropolis have been located. This work belongs to the archaeological project "Highlighting the site of "La Mezquita", within the town council of Cadalso de los Vidrios, located in the southwest of the Community of Madrid. This project has been funded by the General Direction of Historical Heritage of the Community of Madrid, and was included in the "Site Visits Plan" in 2004, although the archaeological works began in the 80's.Es presenten els resultats corresponents a les diferents campanyes d'excavació arqueològica desenvolupades en el jaciment arqueològic de "La Mezquita", des de 1985 fins l'actualitat. To carry out the project, there has been a constant communication between the author of the work and the company requesting the study. This study has been carried out with the purpose that the acquisition of the fixed assets is advantageous for the company, for it has been followed by an exhaustive study based on different situations seeing the different impacts that occurred in the company until giving with the one that The more it will conform to realit

ABSTRACT: The aim of this End of Master Work is analysing the different methodologies and find out the most helpful norms to apply three specific non‐destructive techniques, namely: Active thermography, sonic pulse velocity test and ground penetrating radar for the detection and evaluation of decays in historic buildings, structures and elements. Nowadays, there is not a recognized source of knowledge to consult in order to apply these techniques for historical architecture. Some recommendations are given by specialized institutions as RILEM (International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials, Systems and Structures) or DGZfP (German Society for Non‐Destructive Testing). Some initiatives tried to standardize the test procedures with no great success. The application procedures are currently applied on‐site most of the time with personalized methods and applying modifications according to the limitations of each test project. Official universal standards do not cover the special cares of a historical element requires. Therefore, a research about the most common procedures for active thermography, sonic pulse velocity test and ground penetration radar is compiled. The available knowledge is very dispersed. The amount of case studies articles and reports provide vital information to improve the test efficiency and many experts are glad to share their real experience with these technologies with other professionals. Diving into the literature and conversing with practitioners, it is noticeable the lack of standardization and the few standards that are applicable for building preservation, are usually not followed or even known. Why? Examining the available standards, it is clear the complexity of their structure. The limitations of their procedures invalid often their applicability on‐site, i.e. very complex calibration method which required specific equipment not offered out of the laboratory. Thus, the user finds other solutions to accomplish the test with relative success. For on‐site application, recommendation guidelines are usually more complete that the proper standards, but still not sufficient to increase the efficiency of the tests. Considering this report as an introduction to the three methodologies, there is still a lot of work to do in order to document and put together the isolated valuable information to improve the tests efficiency test on historical buildings.Máster en Investigación, Tecnología y Gestión de la Construcción en Europ

    Heterogeneous distribution in ATLAS

    Get PDF
The ATLAS platform allows unsophisticated programmers to include advanced features in their applications with no or very little extra information and effort. These features include network distribution of cooperating processes, a powerful macro-language, a flexible journaling system and some other mechanisms directly related to graphics applications problems. In this report we describe how ATLAS is able to distribute the application processes among different architectures without needing a previous configuration information of the available processes for each architecture.Postprint (published version

The principal aims are, on the one hand, the search of the traditions and the "andalusíes"-moorish technology that they come to Latin America with the presence of the Crown of Spain at the end of the XV century and during the XVI and XVII century; and for other one, guarantees the route of archaeological investigation tied to the Colonial or Historical Archaeology in Latin America and in I make concrete with Chile. Both aims would form a part of the putting in value and offer "museológica" of the "Casona" and Old Mill of Holy Amelia and of the channel Larmahue (Pichidegua, Cahapoal, 6 ª Region, Chile). The present study includes inside the projects financed by the agreement Center of Studies for Latin America (CEAL/UAM) - bank of Santander, granted to the Dpto. of Prehistory and Archaeology (U.A.M.), together with some Chilean institutions.
