A New and Inexpensive Pyranometer for the Visible Spectral Range

    Get PDF
This paper presents the design, construction and testing of a new photodiode-based pyranometer for the visible spectral range (approx. 400 to 750 nm), whose principal characteristics are: accuracy, ease of connection, immunity to noise, remote programming and operation, interior temperature regulation, cosine error minimisation and all this at a very low cost, tens of times lower than that of commercial thermopile-based devices. This new photodiode-based pyranometer overcomes traditional problems in this type of device and offers similar characteristics to those of thermopile-based pyranometers and, therefore, can be used in any installation where reliable measurement of solar irradiance is necessary, especially in those where cost is a deciding factor in the choice of a meter. This new pyranometer has been registered in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office under the number P200703162

    Solving Sudoku with Membrane Computing

Sudoku is a very popular puzzle which consists on placing several numbers in a squared grid according to some simple rules. In this paper we present an efficient family of P systems which solve sudokus of any order verifying a specific property. The solution is searched by using a simple human-style method. If the sudoku cannot be solved by using this strategy, the P system detects this drawback and then the computations stops and returns No. Otherwise, the P system encodes the solution and returns Yes in the last computation step.Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación TIN2008-04487-EMinisterio de Ciencia e Innovación TIN2009–13192Junta de Andalucía P08-TIC-0420

HUMAN EMBRYO AS A SOCIO-LEGAL CRITERIA OF EVALUATION OF THE CORRESPONDENCE OF MORAL NORMS, SOCIAL RELATIONS AND SOCIAL STRUCTURE. Для более углубленного понимания содержательной основы этих понятий на основе сравнительного анализа за критерий был взят законодательный опыт стран СНГ.= The legal status of the human embryo is one of the main challenges of the modern marriage and family relations. It should be noted that the moderate position in society towards the recognition of the right of the human embryo to life contradicts the current legislation, which denies this phenomenon. Consequently, the negligence of human rights at the early stage of fetal development will contribute to the formation of a negative attitude towards human life in general after birth. Advocating for the legalizatiоn of the human embryo status, the author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to amend and transform various branches of law in terms of theoretical correlation between the concepts of the “human embryo” and “family members” or “close relatives”. In order to show a more profound meaning of the notions such as “family”, “close relatives” and “family members” the author has conducted comparative analysis of the legislative practice of the CIS countries. The results of the analysis of the foreign legal acts show that the value of the Belarusian termbase shall be improved in terms of theory

Experiments with real video sequences show that the proposed integration-based approach is effective, robust and fast by combining simple algorithms. This work is supported by Cátedra Infoglobal-UAM para “Nuevas tecnologías de vídeo aplicadas a la seguridad”, the Spanish Government (TEC2007- 65400 SemanticVideo) and the Comunidad de Madrid (S-050/TIC-0223 - ProMultiDis-CM)

El estado actual de la investigación sobre la congruencia persona-ambiente. Propuesta de aplicación de un diseño experimental

    Get PDF
The aim of this paper is to review the present state of the person-environment congruence research. We analyze the main conceptual and methodological problems that this research have and the cristicisms that one of the most representative model receives: Holland’s vocational choices model. This author suggests that the individuals tend to choose occupations that are congruent with their personal characteristics, and that this fi t (or adjustment) has positive implications both for the performance and job satisfaction. On the other hand, models from other approaches have also been proposed (work stress, work socialization, laboral fi t (or adjustment...). Taking into account the inconvenients that most of these kind of studies have, the possibility of start on this subject from an experimental paradigm suggesting a design that may solve or reduce these problems is proposed

Biscarboxy-Functionalized Imidazole and Palladium as Highly Active Catalytic System in Protic Solvents: Methanol and Water

    Get PDF
The coupling reaction between aryl bromides and boron reagents is efficiently catalyzed by an in situ generated palladium complex obtained from palladium(II) acetate (0.1 mol%) and 1,3-bis(carboxymethyl)imidazole (0.2 mol%). The catalytic system is very active in protic solvents, especially in methanol. Biaryl derivatives have been prepared in good isolated yields (up to >99%), and additionally styrene and stilbene derivatives have also been prepared by means of this protocol.Financial support from the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (MICINN) of Spain (Project Nos. 1,2-Functionalized Imidazoles as Palladium Ligands: An Efficient and Robust Catalytic System for the Fluorine-Free Hiyama Reaction

A variety of hydroxy- and amino-functionalized imidazoles were prepared from 1-methyl- and 1-(diethoxymethyl)imidazole by means of isoprene-mediated lithiation followed by reaction with an electrophile. These compounds in combination with palladium acetate were screened as catalyst systems for the Hiyama reaction under fluorine-free conditions using microwave irradiation. The systematic study of the catalytic system showed 1-methyl-2-aminoalkylimidazole derivative L1 to be the best ligand, which was employed under solvent-free conditions with a 1:2 Pd/ligand ratio and TBAB (20 mol-%) as additive. The study has revealed an interaction between the Pd/ligand ratio and the amount of TBAB. The established catalytic system presented a certain degree of robustness, and it has been successfully employed in the coupling of a range of aryl bromides and chlorides with different aryl siloxanes. Furthermore, both reagents were employed in an equimolecular amount, without an excess of organosilane.Financial support from the Spanish Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (MICINN) (project numbers CTQ2007-65218, CTQ2011-24165), from Consolider Ingenio 2010 (CSD2007-00006), from the Generalitat Valenciana (PROMETEO/2009/039), from the Fondos Europeos para el Desarrollo Regional (FEDER) and from the Universidad de Alicante is acknowledged
