Isidro Carnicero. Su relación con la Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando

As a contribution to the knowledge of the sculpture developed in Spain during the XVIIIth century, field where there is still a lot of work to do, we present the information about the artist Isidro Carnicero that we have found in the archive of the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts. The artist was closely related to this institution, developing different activities and producing an important part of his work in it, until he became Director General. In this text we try to show not only some actions unknown until now but also to clarify some questions published before that had been wrongly interpreted.Como aportación al conocimiento de la escultura desarrollada en España durante el siglo XVIII, ámbito sobre el que aún queda mucho por trabajar, presentamos en este artículo la información que en relación al artista Isidro Carnicero hemos localizado en el archivo de la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, institución a la que estuvo estrechamente ligado como artista y como profesor, ocupando diferentes cargos hasta llegar a Director General. En este escrito pretendemos no sólo dar a conocer una serie de actuaciones en las que hasta ahora no se había reparado, sino que además intentamos aclarar ciertas cuestiones publicadas con anterioridad y que habían sido interpretadas erróneamente

Aproximación al desarrollo artístico en Salamanca durante la primera mitad del siglo XVIII

A pesar de los numerosos trabajos dedicados a las manifestaciones del Barroco en Salamanca, se carece de estudios detallados sobre la mayor parte de las figuras que conformaron su ambiente artístico, lo que dificulta su correcta lectura y estimación. El objeto de este artículo es la recopilación de noticias, publicadas e inéditas, para elaborar una panorámica sobre el arte salmantino del siglo XVIII, intentando situar a los diferentes artistas en su contexto, lo que puede servir como punto de partida para futuros estudios.Despite the numerous studies focused on baroque art in Salamanca, there is a lack of detailed works about most of the artists who made up of artistic environment, making difficult to understand it properly. This article tries to compile some news, already known and unpublished, to draw up an outlook about 18th Century art in Salamanca, setting the artists in their context, which could be used as starting point of future studies

Lecturas televisivas de la Transición: Informe Semanal y las primeras efemérides del Cambio

Informe Semanal, the Spanish Television news program that was born in 1973, consolidated during the transition to the democracy. Given the relevance of this program, this paper analyzes the readings that this informative television offered for the first ephemeris of the Transition. This study is based on the analysis of Informe Semanal, in-depth and face-to-face interviews with journalists who lived through the transition in Spain and an updated bibliography.Informe Semanal, el espacio informativo de Televisión Española nacido en 1973, se consolidó durante la Transición democrática. Teniendo en cuenta la importancia de este programa, este artículo busca analizar las lecturas televisivas que este informativo ofreció con motivo de las primeras efemérides de la Transición que se celebraron durante el transcurso de la misma. Para ello se utilizarán, como fuente principal, las emisiones de Informe Semanal que se conservan en el Archivo de TVE, junto con las entrevistas personales a varios de los periodistas que formaron parte de su equipo y una actualizada bibliografía

Se buscan escultores para el nuevo Palacio Real de Madrid

En marzo de 1743, con motivo de la reforma llevada a cabo en el taller de escultura del Palacio Real de Madrid, se solicitó a los corregidores de las provincias españolas que informasen sobre aquellos escultores de habilidad de que tuviesen noticia en cada lugar con la intención de hacerlos llamar después para que interviniesen en la realización del programa decorativo ideado para este edificio. Las respuestas obtenidas resultan de especial interés por permitir conocer qué escultores se hallaban en activo en ese momento o quiénes eran considerados por sus contemporáneos como los más importantes en las provincias de las que se conserva documentación, a la vez que proporcionan datos inéditos sobre la producción de algunos de ellos.In March 1743, to mark the reforms carried out in the Sculpture Workshop of the Royal Palace in Madrid, the governors of the different Spanish provinces were requested to gather and send information about the most capable sculptors they had any knowledge of in order to summon them to take part in the decorative project designed for the building. The in formation obtained turns out to be of special interest since it allows us to know which sculptors were working at that time or which were considered by their contemporaries as the most important in the provinces about whom documentation is preserved. This information also provides unpublished data concerning the work of some of them

Demographic change, pension reform and redistribution in Spain

Recent demographic changes have spurred pension reforms aimed at restoring the financial sustainability of PAYG systems. In Spain, the most significant reforms were undertaken in 1997 and in 2002, entailing an increase in the length of the averaging period in the pension formula, an increase in the penalties for early retirement and for retirement with short contributive records, a bonus for retirement after the age of 65, and a change in the eligibility conditions. In this paper we use an Applied General Equilibrium model populated by two-earners households to evaluate the redistributive impact of the pension system and the financial and welfare consequences of these reforms on households that differ in their education, region of residence and year of birth. The initial redistribution is assessed by comparing the internal rate of return provided to different households. We find that they vary considerable depending on education and cohort. Regarding the reforms, we find an increase in the implicit debt of the pension system after the reforms, and important changes in welfare. Households up to secondary education born between 1935 and 1975 are predicted to benefit from the reform, while the welfare of younger cohorts will be hit by higher taxes and unfavorable macroeconomic changes.Social Security, Pension Reform, Applied General Equilibrium, Redistribution

Cathode parliament: current politics debates during transition (1976-1979)

En el contexto de transformación políticosocial que vivió España durante la década de los setenta, Televisión Española puso en marcha una serie de programas en los que los acontecimientos que jalonaron el cambio eran debatidos por políticos y especialistas. Este artículo analiza los espacios de debate sobre actualidad política que emitió la cadena estatal durante la Transición. Para ello se estudian los debates políticos que estuvieron en antena para posteriormente prestar atención a un caso concreto -España, hoy-durante las semanas previas al primer gran hito de la Transición: el referéndum de la Ley para la Reforma Política. Tras ese análisis se concluye que TVE actuó como un pequeño parlamento en el que el enfoque y tratamiento de los temas políticos debatidos reflejaban el espíritu de consenso que guió el proyecto de Transición en sus inicios, a la par que socializaba en democracia a la audiencia.In the context of sociopolitical changes that Spain lived during the seventies, Spanish Television started up several programs where the current that marked the change were discussed by political and specialists. This article analyzes the politics debate that state television issued during the Transition. First of all, this study aims to show the politics debates that were on the air and, afterwards, pays attention to an specific case Spain, today (España, hoy)during the weeks before the referendum on Political Reform Law. The article concludes that TVE played as an small parliament in which the approach and treatment of political issues socialized in democracy to the audience and reflected the consensus spirit that guided the Transition project

Semantics for incident identification and resolution reports

In order to achieve a safe and systematic treatment of security protocols, organizations release a number of technical briefings describing how to detect and manage security incidents. A critical issue is that this document set may suffer from semantic deficiencies, mainly due to ambiguity or different granularity levels of description and analysis. An approach to face this problem is the use of semantic methodologies in order to provide better Knowledge Externalization from incident protocols management. In this article, we propose a method based on semantic techniques for both, analyzing and specifying (meta)security requirements on protocols used for solving security incidents.
