BIODIVERSIDADE: a leitura da vida e a afirmação dos sujeitos

O estudo pretende suscitar as contradições da sustentabilidade no interior do capitalismo, bem como a própria negação dos sujeitos nesse mesmo contexto. Para tanto, aliam-se conhecimentos e temas que perpassam por várias áreas do saber, como por exemplo, a Biologia, o Direito e a Sociologia. Analisam-se, assim, as dimensões econômicas e sociais da sustentabilidade no bojo do mercado e da sociedade do século XXI. Abordam-se alguns temas referentes à democracia ecológica, visando demonstrar a insuF ciência do contrato político que inaugurou a modernidade. Discutem-se os direitos dos animais não humanos, a partir de uma visão biocêntrica que vulnera, bem por isso, a lógica hegemônica do mercado.Palavras-chave: Biodiversidade. A indução de práticas supervisivas entre pares numa comunidade de práticas.

The Bologna process and the creation of the European Higher Education Area have beenproving to be a challenge. As teachers trainers in a Higher Education institution, the teacher training models deserve, to us, particular reflection, namely the teaching processes adopted by Higher Education teachers. We believe that teacher training is an important period in the individuals socialization, in which the inherent criticality of the professional knowledge construction process (in the sense of Shulman (1986) – including content, pedagogical and curricular knowledge) should be a central tenet in the construction of teachers professionnality. Presenting itself as an organization capable of conceiving, designing, acting and thinking, we claim for supervision pratices that help school to discuss and plan for the future, truly ambitious, that questions the less well achieved moments to understand their causes, being able to draw new action lines.Thus, having the establishment of a Community of Practice as a starting point, it is our goal with this text to present some of the support tools that are being tested in pedagogical supervision among peers with some preliminary results. We believe these results point towards what it is essential to develop and present the induction of a new pedagogical supervision for Higher Education. By identifying facilitators/constraining mechanisms on the implementation of regulatory processes of educational activity among peers, we aim not only improving the quality of the practices on Higher Education contexts, but also benefiting, from our point of view, the learning process of students in general.The Bologna process and the creation of the European Higher Education Area have been proving to be a challenge. O caso do jornal Público

A crise climática incorpora desafios sociais, ambientais e políticos inescapáveis que, continuando as atuais tendências de emissão de gases com efeito de estufa, impulsionam as sociedades atuais rumo ao colapso. O movimento social pelo clima, que incorpora e unifica o ativismo climático, procura responder a este desafio ao pressionar governos e organizações internacionais a tomar medidas decisivas de mitigação e adaptação às alterações climáticas. Esta pesquisa procura compreender, através do estudo de imprensa, de que forma estes ativistas têm sido representados para um público geral e de que forma são contextualizadas as suas ações. Para isso, foram analisados artigos publicados no jornal Público Online segundo indicadores identificados em outros estudos sobre ativismo e meios de comunicação, nomeadamente a presença do paradigma do protesto. Foram recolhidos 175 artigos, que foram analisados recorrendo à análise de conteúdo. A análise de dados revelou um paradigma distinto do que foi identificado em estudos internacionais, nomeadamente no respeita ao tipo de representações sociais dominantes e à presença do paradigma do protesto. O jornal em análise revelou um enquadramento do ativismo climático preferencial, no qual o ativista tem frequentemente oportunidade de auto-representação e as ações são contextualizadas segundo a sua motivação. A análise revela ainda que o paradigma do protesto não é prevalente no jornal analisado e que as representações sociais dominantes do ativista são maioritariamente favoráveis.The climate crisis embodies inescapable social, environmental and political challenges that, if current trends in greenhouse gas emissions are to continue, current societies will be driven towards collapse. The climate movement, which embodies and unifies climate activism, seeks to respond to this challenge by putting pressure on governments and international organizations to take decisive action on climate change mitigation and adaptation. This research seeks to understand, through a press analysis, how these activists have been conveyed to a general public and how their actions are contextualized. For this purpose, articles published in Público Online newspaper were analysed according to indicators identified in previous studies on activism and media, namely the existence of the protest paradigm. 175 articles were gathered, which were analysed using content analysis. The data analysis revealed a different paradigm from what has been identified in international studies, namely in terms of the type of social representations that are prevalent and the presence of the protest paradigm. The newspaper under analysis revealed a preferred framing of climate activism, in which the activist often has the opportunity for self-representation and the actions are contextualized according to their motivation. The analysis also reveals that the protest paradigm is not prevalent in the newspaper and that the majority of the activists' social representations are favourable

Desenvolvimento profissional do professor no ensino básico : contributos de um projecto de promoção do sucesso escolar

Tese de mestrado, Educação (Supervisão e Orientação da Prática Profissional), Universidade de Lisboa, Instituto de Educação, 2011O desenvolvimento profissional dos professores constitui-se como um caminho para a valorização da profissão docente. A escola atual carateriza-se genericamente como escola inclusiva, com diferenças substanciais de uma escola para outra, envolta em modificações constantes e às quais é imperativo dar respostas adequadas e contribuam para promover o sucesso dos alunos e a melhoria das suas aprendizagens, mas também a melhoria da escola enquanto organização e dos profissionais que nela desenvolvem a sua atividade. O desenvolvimento profissional dos professores que colaboram num projeto de promoção do sucesso escolar, no contexto de uma escola de ensino básico, converteu-se no objeto deste estudo. O estudo empírico realizado consistiu num estudo de caso de natureza qualitativa. Participaram no estudo professores que lecionam, no âmbito do projeto, as disciplinas onde os alunos apresentam maiores dificuldades, a docente adjunta da direção e a docente coordenadora do projeto na escola. O procedimento de recolha de dados baseou-se na observação, recolha de dados documentais e inquérito por entrevista e por questionário. As dimensões de análise incluíram a caraterização sócio profissional do professor, a coordenação e supervisão do projeto e o desenvolvimento profissional do professor. A análise dos resultados permitiu constatar que o envolvimento dos professores no projeto lhes proporcionou o desenvolvimento de competências pedagógicas, pessoais e científicas. Demonstraram maioritariamente terem adotado uma atitude de partilha, reflexão e trabalho colaborativo. O desenvolvimento profissional ao longo da vida surgiu como área pouco interiorizada. Neste âmbito, os docentes que têm as suas prioridades definidas, apresentam a formação contínua como forma de operacionalizar o seu desenvolvimento profissional.The professional development of teachers is as a way to value the teaching profession. The current school featuring itself generically as inclusive school, with substantial differences from one school to another, surrounded by constant changes and to which it is imperative to provide adequate responses and contribute to promoting student success and improvement of their learning, but also improving school as an organization and develop her professional activity. The professional development of teachers who collaborate on a project to promote school success, in the context of an elementary school, became the object of this study. The empirical study consisted of a case study of a qualitative nature. This study analyzed teachers who teach under the project, the disciplines where students have difficulties, the teacher member assistant of the direction and the project coordinator at the school. The procedure for data collection was based on observation, data collection, documentation and interview survey and questionnaire. The dimensions of analysis included the characterization of the teacher professional partner, coordination and supervision of the project and teacher professional development. The results revealed that the teachers' involvement in the project gave them the development of teaching, personal and scientific skills. Demonstrated mostly have adopted an attitude of sharing, reflection and collaborative work. The professional development throughout life emerged as an area slightly internalized by teachers. Policy recommendations on creative tourism development in small cities and rural areas

Based on CREATOUR’s findings, this policy-oriented briefing report proposes recommendations to authorities and agencies at all levels (national, regional, and local) relating to the development of creative tourism initiatives in small cities and rural areas in Portugal. It is centrally informed by the needs of the CREATOUR pilot organizations, which were articulated within discussions between researchers and practitioners. We also considered public policies related to rural tourism development and the types of public policies needed to foster and support cultural and creative organizations in small cities and rural areas. The recommendations recognize and reinforce the need to develop new structures to foster ongoing interconnections between the cultural and tourism sectors

Alternative proteins for fish diets: implications beyond growth

Aquaculture has been challenged to find alternative ingredients to develop innovative feed formulations that foster a sustainable future growth. Given the most recent trends in fish feed formulation on the use of alternative protein sources to decrease the dependency of fishmeal, it is fundamental to evaluate the implications of this new paradigm for fish health and welfare. This work intends to comprehensively review the impacts of alternative and novel dietary protein sources on fish gut microbiota and health, stress and immune responses, disease resistance, and antioxidant capacity. The research results indicate that alternative protein sources, such as terrestrial plant proteins, rendered animal by-products, insect meals, micro- and macroalgae, and single cell proteins (e.g., yeasts), may negatively impact gut microbiota and health, thus affecting immune and stress responses. Nevertheless, some of the novel protein sources, such as insects and algae meals, have functional properties and may exert an immunostimulatory activity. Further research on the effects of novel protein sources, beyond growth, is clearly needed. The information gathered here is of utmost importance, in order to develop innovative diets that guarantee the production of healthy fish with high quality standards and optimised welfare conditions, thus contributing to a sustainable growth of the aquaculture industry.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

"Cachoeira, lago, onda, gota, chuva miúda, fonte, neve e mar": as águas possibilitando infiltrar na formação docente em gênero e sexualidade

O artigo entretece as imagens simbólicas do imaginário das águas que brotam na letra da música "Eu e Água" de autoria do compositor Caetano Veloso e as temáticas de gênero e sexualidade nos processos de formação docente. Apresenta aspectos do projeto de extensão universitária aprovado pelo Proext/MEC/2015 intitulado "Borbulhando enfrentamentos às violências sexuais nas infâncias no sul de Minas Gerais" , coordenado pelo grupo de pesquisa Relações entre filosofia e educação para a sexualidade na contemporaneidade: a problemática da formação docente. Problematiza também o depoimento de uma pedagoga integrante do Fórum Sul Mineiro de Educação Infantil. Apresenta concepções de extensão universitária infiltradas nas experiências, nos dilemas, nos desafios e no desenvolvimento de ações formativas realizadas pelo grupo de pesquisa imerso nos estudos das teorizações pós-crí­ticas, assumindo o compromisso ético polí­tico com a concepção de extensão universitária baseada nas metodologias pós-crí­ticas ao fazer interface com pesquisas de intervenção social mais ampla, sobretudo, as que se correlacionam com a formação de professores/as quando as temáticas são afetas aos marcadores sociais de gênero, sexualidade, raça, etnia, religiosidade, geração e tantas outras diferenças

Proteolytic potential of pseudomonas fluorescens isolated from refrigerated raw milk

The growth rate and the proteolytic activity of Pseudomonas fluorescens strains 07A and 041, isolated from cow’s milk, were evaluated at 2, 4, 7 and 10ºC. P. fluorescens promoted protein degradation during storage of milk samples as observed by Proteolytic activity measurement, sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and heat stability of milk. Casein hydrolysis resulted in loss of thermal stability of milk and in formation of fragments of low and medium molecular mass. Temperatures up to 10°C did notA taxa de crescimento e a atividade proteolítica das estirpes 07A e 041 de Pseudomonas fluorescens, isoladas a partir de leite cru de vacas, foram avaliadas após incubação a 2, 4, 7 e 10°C. P. fluorescens promoveu a degradação de proteínas durante armazenamento de amostras de leite, como observado pela determinação da atividade proteolítica, por eletroforese em gel de poliacrilamida desnaturante (SDS-PAGE) e pela estabilidade térmica do leite. A hidrólise da caseína resultou na perda da estabilidade térmica do leite e na formação de fragmentos de baixa e média massa molecular. Temperaturas de até 10°C não garantiram a qualidade do leite cru quando a contaminação por P. fluorescens foi igual ou superior a 10 6 UFC/mL
