Kaupunki turvallisuuden kohteena : Tulevaisuusskenaarioita Euroopan turvallisuusympäristöstä vuonna 2040
Regionally extended shared socioeconomic pathways for the offshore wind industry in Finland
Offshore wind energy is increasingly becoming an important part of European and global low-emission power systems. The aims of this paper are to create a shared understanding on the major drivers of offshore wind development in Finland and to explore how these drivers, and opportunities for the entire industry, may develop over the twenty-first century, under different global futures. This research develops extended shared socioeconomic pathway (SSP) narratives for the offshore wind industry by using a virtual participatory workshop with expert stakeholders. According to our results, the five key drivers shaping the prospects of offshore wind development are public acceptability of offshore energy, global and national demand for low-emission energy, technological development and relative competitiveness of offshore energy, availability of space and wind resources, and energy markets and transmission infrastructure. Nationally extended SSP narratives, building on these key drivers, describe a wide range of alternative future risks and opportunities for developing offshore energy. Under sustainable development (SSP1), offshore wind is likely to soon become a major source of energy in the area, if developed in a balanced manner alongside other uses of the marine space. Under fossil-fuelled development (SSP5), offshore wind grows slower and may experience rapid uptake only in the latter half of the century. Under the regional rivalry scenario (SSP3), the need for local energy sources drives the national energy policies and may create new opportunities for offshore wind. Under the inequality scenario (SSP4), local municipalities and the residents decide on locations of new wind turbines and the overall magnitude of future offshore wind.Peer reviewe

After the extraction procedure, a process of bone remodeling and resorption will follow, which often ends in a decrease in the volume of local hard and soft tissue.
There may be such phenomena of bone resorption that may compromise rehabilitation, especially when osseointegrated implants are planned to be used, so the time for placement of these must be considered.
Several techniques have been developed to minimize as much as possible the changes in bone volume resulting from tooth extraction, allowing to maintain the alveolus and obtain the best result in terms of health, function and aesthetics. One of the ways to improve alveolar regeneration is simply an extraction procedure as atraumatic as possible.
Predicting the extent and magnitude of post-extraction dimensional changes as specific patient characteristics and the location of the missing tooth is especially important for decision-making when clinics are planning to replace the tooth.
Based on the review of the existing bibliography, the objective of this project was to expose different post-extraction therapeutic alternatives, addressing the influence that these techniques can assume, including alveolar preservation and bone regeneration techniques, such as guided bone regeneration, use of graft materials and use of biomaterials.
To carry out this monograph, a bibliographic search was carried out in the PubMed, MEDLINE, Cochrane Library and SCOPUS databases, including articles with text available online in English, Portuguese and Spanish, with publication data between 2001 and 2021, giving relevance to articles of the last 5 years (2016 to 2021)
questionário resultou a seleção de quatro videoclipes (As Long As You Love Me
ft. Big Sean”, “Try”, “Havemos de lá chegar” e “Scratch My Back”), cujo conteúdo
duração, sinopse, estrutura do videoclipe, relação música-imagem-linguagem
blocos: “aprender a olhar”, “compreender e analisar”, “interpretar e avaliar” e
viu (imagem), leu (letra) e ouviu (música).
associado reconhecimento, estatuto, sucesso pessoal, profissional e social”
(Santos, 2017, p.141).
para acentuar desigualdades entre mulheres e homensThe media have become a powerful tool in forming opinions, acquiring
knowledge, learning about norms, values and subjectivities that to a
certain extent influence how reality is perceived. As much as objectivity
is proclaimed, the messages they convey are hardly neutral; they
develop regimes of authenticity, and dispute multiple meanings about
sexuality and gender.
The dialogue between communication and gender implies not only
reinforcing the critical view of the hegemonic modes transmitted by the
media, but also adjusting the look on practices in the areas of education
and training. It is important to know, among all the tools currently
available, which ones the students use and which have the potential to
be used in the classroom. In particular, video clips, whose visual and
verbal components can inspire and motivate students, promote deeper
learning, stimulate the flow of ideas and provide an opportunity for
freedom of expression, among others, are included here.
This study had the collaboration of 65 adolescents and youngsters in
the 7th and 12th years of schooling. A first research question was
considered: “In the didactic approach of the most widely viewed video
clips by adolescents, which images of sexuality and gender are they
able to collect?” Once images of sexuality and gender were identified, it
was important to apprehend “What gender roles and stereotypes are
emphasized in the video clips most viewed by young people?” and
finally “How are the differences an (in)equalities expressed?”
In an exploratory phase of the study, the researcher developed a
questionnaire survey as a tool for collecting information that could,
among other things, define cues to approach the object of study and
survey the video clips more commonly watched by young people.
Applying the questionnaire resulted in the selection of four video clips
(“As Long As You Love Me ft. Big Sean,” “Try,” “Havemos de lá
chegar”, the content of which was analysed. For each of them, the
researcher prepared a report that included information such as format,
recording, musical genre, duration, synopsis, structure of the video clip,
the music-image-language relationship and survey of the possible
contribution to gender inequality (stereotypes relating to personality
traits or attributes, roles and/or physical characteristics).
In order to record the opinions of the researcher and the young
participants regarding the discourse presented in the video clips, four
visualization/analysis scripts were prepared.
Each script presents a set of activities, divided into four main blocks:
“learning to see,” “understanding and analysing,” “interpreting and
evaluating” and “transforming” (Díez Gutiérrez, 2004b).
Although the narratives in the video clips are representations constructed by
someone and do not correspond to reality (Pacheco, 2017), reading their
discourse critically allowed each of the actors to give a meaning to what they
saw (image), read (lyrics) and heard (music).
As for the thematic axes identified by the participants, the focus is on
affectivity (paternal, parental, erotic and sexual, friendship) and on love, on
interpersonal relationships established in the work environment and on
violence in affective and/or romantic relationships. It was also observed in
the discourses analysed that stereotyped conceptions about the
feminine/femininity/being a woman and male/masculinity/ being a man
persist. Thus, it is up to women to be young, slim, beautiful, sensual, to
achieve the requirements of contemporary physical beauty and attraction
(Mota-Ribeiro, 2002a, 2002b; Castro, 2003; Campos, Cecílio & Penaforte,
2016; Teixeira & Marques, 2016) and wear skirts and dresses, tight and
intimate clothes, as codes of seduction (Teixeira & Marques, 2016).
Men should be tall, thin, young and muscular, as a muscular body, besides
indicating masculinity, is synonymous with strength and virility (Januário,
2013); young as a “sign of narcissism and seduction” (Santos, 2017, p.140);
tall and thin, because “a slender silhouette” is associated with recognition,
status, personal, professional and social success” (Santos, 2017, p.141). If
they intend to appear powerful, they must wear a long-sleeved suit or shirt,
for clothing must be “commensurate with doing business” (Natt & Carrieri,
2016, p.120).
The discourse was also found to refer to the psychological differences and
characteristics of the personality, moral attributes of behaviour and personal
skills. It places women in a situation of dependency and inferiority,
perpetuates the roles traditionally attributed to men and women and unequal
relations of power and promotes heteronormativity.
This study helps to corroborate the idea that it is necessary to work on the
issues of sexuality and gender conveyed in the discourse contained in video
clips, so that it is not received passively, because the discourse is actually
fraught with subjectivity. On the other hand, it was found that integrating
video clips in the context of operationalizing sex education in schools is
feasible, and it is possible to involve the different actors in the teaching and
learning process and in raising young people’s awareness to the existence
of stereotypes and social stigmas that contribute to accentuate inequalities
between women and menPrograma Doutoral em Educaçã
problemas do quotidiano.
pensamento e a acção.
preferencialmente, as ferramentas Web 2.0, e-mail e Skype.
ABSTRACT: The teaching of science should involve and respect students, take into account
their characteristics and interests, their motivations, their difficulties, their
performance and their respective points of view. It is essential to develop
activities which not only value strictly academic contexts, but which arise out of
a need to find answers to day-to-day problems. It is important to know, conceive
and implement teaching and learning strategies which promote the
development of cognitive and social skills and attitudes in the students and
which are suited to everyday situations. Thus, it is crucial to understand what
the degree of student involvement in learning science is and which strategies
should be implemented to foster their interest in learning this subject.
In reporting the process of conception, implementation and restructuring of
didactic strategies, conceived in partnership, in an online context, involving two
distinct and distant educational contexts the process of reflection on the
practice which underpinned the interaction between thought and action
emerged.
In this project the collaborative, self-reflecting and self-teaching aspect in the
Professional developing of the teacher-investigator and respect Czech
colleague was explained. Special emphasis was given to self and peersupervision
of teaching practices and the impact they have on improving the
quality of the students’ learning.
The research was developed in three stages:
In stage 1, so that the teacher-researcher could develop this project she had to
first proceed to (re)constructing notions of science supervision, teaching and
learning, as well as learning and motivation environments.
In stage 2 we proceeded to conception, development and implementation of
appropriate didactic materials in the study of “How Autotrophic Beings Obtain
Matter: Photosynthesis and Chemosynthesis.” Planning and developing
strategies of teaching and learning, as well as implementing them occurred in
an online environment, preferentially using such tools as Web 2.0, e-mail and
Skype.
In stage 3 the implications of self and peer-supervision of the teaching practices
in the personal and professional development of the teachers, motivation for
learning this topic and improvement in the quality of the students’ learning.
The data was gathered through field notes and entries in the teachers’ journals
which hold notes on observations, reflections, interpretations, hypotheses and
explanations of occurrences. These journal entries contributed to the
development of their critical thinking and to perfecting their practices. A
questionnaire was used to collect the participating students’ opinions on their
assessment of the didactic materials and the methodologies.
A culture of reflective partnership and supervision between both teachers was
established thereby edifying critical interactions generated through dialogue and
frank, open feedback. The shared reflection resulted in a (re)construction of
knowledge as a function of the capacity for each of the teachers to process and
relate the information they already had with the information and new meanings
that the collaborative partnership added while it was left to the supervision (self
and peer) to manage the reconstruction processes. The study also helped to
find the advantages and disadvantages in self and peer-supervising of teaching
practices in motivating and improving the quality of students’ learning in an
online environment enhancing the use of information and communication
technologies

Tactical games approach: teaching collective sports invasion games
The invasion games (JDC-I) have been assumed a great expression in the curriculum of Physical Education in the school context. The way as JDC-I has traditionally been taught in school is problematic, since it emphasizes the teaching of skills rather than tactical awareness, critical to a better performance in game. Based on the assumption that students transfer knowledge from one game to another in the same game category, it is probably more sensible and profitable to teach the JDC-I from similar tactical goals (tactical problems). In this sense, the operational principles of attack and defense are assumed as an important teaching content. The JDC-I teaching in an integrated perspective, using a tactical approach to the game, is a way of making the learning process profitable throughout the school year. The research, although scarce, has shown that this type of approach makes the classes more motivating, more dynamic and enhancing the creativity of the student.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Teaching invasion games: an intervention study in students from basic school
Aims: (1) to present a quasi-experimental study to assess the effectiveness of a tactical approach to the teaching of Invasive Collective Sports Games (JDC-I), and (2) to present the results of the reliability of the assessment team in a pilot study. The effect of paricalcitolon dialysate protein loss in peritoneal dialysis patients
Ever since peritoneal dialysis (PD) has been used in the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD), high peritoneal protein loss has been observed on each PD exchange. In adult patients, the loss has been estimated at 6 to 13 g daily. Paricalcitol, a selective activator of vitamin D receptors (VDR), is successfully used as a treatment of hyperparathyroidism secondary to CKD. In addition, it has been proposed for reducing proteinuria in patients with CKD. Nonetheless, little is known about its effect on peritoneal protein loss (PPL) in patients on PD, namely after the identification of VDRon the peritoneal membrane. The aim of this study wasto examine the effect of paricalcitol on PPL in PD patients
