Evaluation Nurses' Practices toward Application of Apgar Scores for Newly Born Baby at Delivery Room in Baghdad City

The study title evaluate nurses’ practices toward application of Apgar scores for newly born baby at delivery room in Baghdad city for the purposes of finding the relationship between the nurses' practices and their demographic characteristics. A descriptive study was carried out in teaching and non teaching hospitals (Al-Numan General Hospital, Al-aluwa Delivery Hospital in Baghdad City from the 10th September 2012 to 10th January 2013. A purposive (non probability) sample of (20) nurses who are working in the delivery room in these hospital. The data was collected through using constructed questionnaire which comprises (25) items add filled by using interview technique. The reliability of the questionnaire was determined through a pilot study and validity through a panel of experts. The data were analyzed through the application of descriptive statistic that including frequency, percentage, and the application of inferential statistical procedures, which include Pearson correlation coefficient, mean of score, standard deviation and chi-square. The finding of the study there was no statistical significance differences between the nurses' practices and their demographic characteristics espial educational level, years of experience in the delivery room, years of employment in the nursing, and the finding of the study was indicated that the nurses have poor practices about application of Apgar scores for newly born baby at delivery room. Impact of Training Neonatal Resuscitation Program uponNurse'sPractices in Operation Room

The study aims to training program will be conducted to improve nurse practical skills toward neonatal resuscitation and find the relationship between the nurses' knowledge and their demographic characteristics. A Quasi experimental study was carried out in 4 teaching hospitals (Al-Yarmouk Teaching Hospital, Al-Karama Teaching Hospital, Al-karkh Hospital for Deliver, and Al- Kadhimiyia Teaching Hospital) in Baghdad City from the 14th August 2011 to 15th of May 2012. The sample of (40) nurses who are working in the maternal operation room and who are doing caesarean section in these hospitals. The data was collected through using constructed questionnaire which comprises (46) items and using specially constructed questionnaire, which comprises two parts. The first one is demographic characteristics and the second part for nurses' practices, the questionnaire used in pre test before application of the program and post test 1 immediately after the application of the program and post test 2 after (2) months and post test 3 application after (6) months later. Assessment need of nurses knowledge about nutrition for children with leukemia at hematology pediatric ward in medical city

Background: Leukemia in childhood is the second leading cause of death among children that stated in the bone marrow and affected for producing stem cells. The nurse's and health care provider role is to help children and their families to accept the disease based on their education and its treatment.Objectives: The study aim to assess the nurses' knowledge towards nutrition and identify the relationship between demographic characteristics of the nurses with the knowledge (such as age, sex, educational level, marital status and years of experience). Research Methodology: descriptive study dealt with object-analytical sample randomly from the 40 nurses working in the Hematology Center pediatric ward at Medical City. The questionnaire was designed to gather information, and conducted a study to test a pilot questionnaire questions period (18th April/2021 to 10th July/ 2021). Data was analyzed by applying descriptive statistics (frequency and percentage) and deductive statistics (Chi-Square test) SPSS version (20).
