Probing Intermediate Mass Higgs Interactions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider
We analyze the potentiality of the CERN Large Hadron Collider to probe the
Higgs boson couplings to the electroweak gauge bosons. We parametrize the
possible deviations of these couplings due to new physics in a model
independent way, using the most general dimension--six effective lagrangian
where the SU(2)_L x U(1)_Y is realized linearly. For intermediate Higgs masses,
the decay channel into two photons is the most important one for Higgs searches
at the LHC. We study the effects of these new interactions on the Higgs
production mechanism and its subsequent decay into two photons. We show that
the LHC will be sensitive to new physics scales beyond the present limits

Neutrino Masses and Mixing one Decade from Now
We review the status of neutrino masses and mixings in the light of the solar
and atmospheric neutrino data. The result from the LSND experiment is also
considered. We discuss the present knowledge and the expected sensitivity to
the neutrino mixing parameters in the simplest schemes proposed to reconcile
these data some of which include a light sterile neutrino in addition to the

The complete HEFT Lagrangian after the LHC Run I
The complete effective chiral Lagrangian for a dynamical Higgs is presented and constrained by means of a global analysis including electroweak precision data together with Higgs and triple gauge-boson coupling data from the LHC Run I. The operators’ basis up to next-to-leading order in the expansion consists of 148 (188 considering righthanded neutrinos) flavour universal terms and it is presented here making explicit the custodial nature of the operators. This effective Lagrangian provides the most general description of the physical Higgs couplings once the electroweak symmetry is assumed, and it allows for deviations from the SU (2)L doublet nature of the Standard Model Higgs. The comparison with the effective linear Lagrangian constructed with an exact SU (2)L doublet Higgs and considering operators with at most canonical dimension six is presented. A promising strategy to disentangle the two descriptions consists in analysing (i) anomalous signals present only in the chiral Lagrangian and not expected in the linear one, that are potentially relevant for LHC searches, and (ii) decorrelation effects between observables that are predicted to be correlated in the linear case and not in the chiral one. The global analysis presented here, which includes several kinematic distributions, is crucial for reducing the allowed parameter space and for controlling the correlations between parameters. Update on Solar and Atmospheric Four-Neutrino Oscillations
In this talk we present the update (including the recent SNO results) of our analysis of the neutrino oscillation solutions of the solar and atmospheric neutrino problems in the framework of four-neutrino mixing where a sterile neutrino is added to the three standard ones and the mass spectra present two separated doublets. Such scenarios allow for simultaneous transitions of solar , as well as atmospheric , into a combination of active and sterile neutrinos. We evaluate the allowed active-sterile admixture in both solar and atmospheric oscillations from the combined analysis. CP Violation from Scatterings with Gauge Bosons in Leptogenesis
We present an explicit computation of the CP asymmetry in scattering
processes involving the heavy right-handed neutrinos of the type I seesaw
framework and the Standard Model gauge bosons. Compared to CP violation in
two--body decays and in scatterings with top quarks there are new contributions
at one loop in the form of new type of vertex corrections as well as of box
diagrams. We show that their presence implies that, unlike the CP asymmetry in
scatterings with top quarks, the CP asymmetry in scatterings with gauge bosons
is different from the two-body decay asymmetry even for hierarchical
right-handed neutrinos. This also holds for the L-conserving CP asymmetry in
scatterings with U(1) gauge bosons.Comment: 13 pages, 3 figure
Global and Unified Analysis of Solar Neutrino Data
We discuss the status of the solutions of the solar neutrino problem in terms
of oscillations of into active or sterile neutrinos. We present the
results of a global fit to the full data set corresponding to the latest data
presented at the -2000 conference. We show the possible solutions in the
full parameter space including both MSW and vacuum, as well as quasi-vacuum
oscillations (QVO) and matter effects for mixing angles in the second octant
(the so called dark side). Our conclusion is that from the statistical point of
view, all solutions for oscillations into active neutrinos: LMA, LOW, SMA and
the QVO solutions are acceptable since they all provide a reasonable GOF to the
full data set. The same holds for the SMA solution for oscillations into
sterile neutrinos. LMA and LOW-QVO solutions for oscillations into active
neutrinos seem slightly favoured over SMA solutions for oscillations into
active or sterile neutrinos. We also analyze the dependence of these
conclusions on the uncertainty of the SSM B flux and on the removal of the
data from one of the experimental rates. We also present the results in the
framework of four neutrino oscillations which allows for oscillations into a

Three-Neutrino Mixing after the First Results from K2K and KamLAND
We analyze the impact of the data on long baseline \nu_\mu disappearance from
the K2K experiment and reactor \bar\nu_e disappearance from the KamLAND
experiment on the determination of the leptonic three-generation mixing
parameters. Performing an up-to-date global analysis of solar, atmospheric,
reactor and long baseline neutrino data in the context of three-neutrino
oscillations, we determine the presently allowed ranges of masses and mixing
and we consistently derive the allowed magnitude of the elements of the
leptonic mixing matrix. We also quantify the maximum allowed contribution of
\Delta m^2_{21} oscillations to CP-odd and CP-even observables at future long
baseline experiments.Comment: Some typos correcte
Probing neutrino non-standard interactions with atmospheric neutrino data
We have reconsidered the atmospheric neutrino anomaly in light of the laetst
data from Super-Kamiokande contained events and from Super-Kamiokande and MACRO
up-going muons. We have reanalysed the proposed solution to the atmospheric
neutrino anomaly in terms of non-standard neutrino-matter interactions (NSI) as
well as the standard nu_mu -> nu_tau oscillations (OSC). Our statistical
analysis shows that a pure NSI mechanism is now ruled out at 99%, while the
standard nu_mu -> nu_tau OSC mechanism provides a quite remarkably good
description of the anomaly. We therefore study an extended mechanism of
neutrino propagation which combines both oscillation and non-standard
neutrino-matter interactions, in order to derive limits on flavour-changing
(FC) and non-universal (NU) neutrino interactions. We obtain that the
off-diagonal flavour-changing neutrino parameter epsilon and the diagonal
non-universality neutrino parameter epsilon' are confined to -0.03 < epsilon <
0.02 and |epsilon'| < 0.05 at 99.73% CL. These limits are model independent and
they are obtained from pure neutrino-physics processes. The stability of the
neutrino oscillation solution to the atmospheric neutrino anomaly against the
presence of non-standard neutrino interactions establishes the robustness of
the near-maximal atmospheric mixing and massive-neutrino hypothesis. The best
agreement with the data is obtained for Delta_m^2 = 2.3*10^{-3} eV^2,
sin^2(2*theta) = 1, epsilon = 6.7*10^{-3} and epsilon' = 1.1*10^{-3}, although
the chi^2 function is quite flat in the epsilon and epsilon' directions for

Determination of the atmospheric neutrino fluxes from experimental data
The precise knowledge of the atmospheric neutrino fluxes is a key ingredient
in the interpretation of the results from any atmospheric neutrino experiment.
In the standard atmospheric neutrino data analysis, these fluxes are
theoretical inputs obtained from sophisticated numerical calculations. In this
contribution we present an alternative approach to the determination of the
atmospheric neutrino fluxes based on the direct extraction from the

Atmospheric Neutrino Oscillations and New Physics
We study the robustness of the determination of the neutrino masses and
mixing from the analysis of atmospheric and K2K data under the presence of
different forms of phenomenologically allowed new physics in the nu_mu--nu_tau
sector. We focus on vector and tensor-like new physics interactions which allow
us to treat, in a model independent way, effects due to the violation of the
equivalence principle, violations of the Lorentz invariance both CPT conserving
and CPT violating, non-universal couplings to a torsion field and non-standard
neutrino interactions with matter. We perform a global analysis of the full
atmospheric data from SKI together with long baseline K2K data in the presence
of nu_mu -> nu_tau transitions driven by neutrino masses and mixing together
with sub-dominant effects due to these forms of new physics. We show that
within the present degree of experimental precision, the extracted values of
masses and mixing are robust under those effects and we derive the upper bounds
