Hamsiköy Neighborhood, located at the foot of the Zigana Mountain, which is 50 kilometers away from the city center of Trabzon, at an altitude of 1300, is famous for its natural beauties. It is oneof the prominent settlements in tourism with the increasing interest of tourists in recent years.Especially in recent years due to the increasing number of tourists and tourists began to buy landHamsiköy undergo a major change. For this reason, uncontrolled construction continues and thecenter of the neighborhood becomes very crowded especially in summer. Due to the uncontrolledconstruction, the authenticity and natural beauties of the neighborhood have been endangered.Hamsiköy has been in danger of losing its original value in the future. In this study the builtenvironment, which changes depending on the number of tourists, its changes in the historical process and its effects in the neighborhood are conveyed. The changes that occur due to tourismeffect are explained by supporting the photos and population data of the neighborhood. Hamsiköy,which is known as a new destination, has started to be unplanned, fast and disorganized structurein order to make it more attractive for tourist so it is moving away from its existing original fabricand losing its old soul unity. The ongoing construction without considering the impact on thenatural structure and lifestyle of the Hamsiköy loses much more than what it has earnedeconomically

    STRATEGIC INTERACTION AND CATCHING UP

    Get PDF
In this study, we prove that the strategic interaction among agents differing in initial wealth levels leads the poor to be able to catch up with the rich, which is not the case for the standard Ramsey model where the initial wealth differences perpetuate. Extending the analysis to account for relative wealth concern and the adjustment cost of consumption, the strategic interaction among agents is shown to affect not only the distribution of wealth in the long run but also the transitional dynamics substantially. In particular, we show that structurally very simple frameworks may lead to limit cycles thanks to the strategic interaction among agents in the economy. © 2015 Board of Trustees of the Bulletin of Economic Research and John Wiley & Sons Ltd

Bimodal Phase Diagram of the Superfluid Density in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 Revealed by an Interfacial Waveguide Resonator

We explore the superconducting phase diagram of the two-dimensional electron system at the LaAlO3/SrTiO3 interface by monitoring the frequencies of the cavity modes of a coplanar waveguide resonator fabricated in the interface itself. We determine the phase diagram of the superconducting transition as a function of temperature and electrostatic gating, finding that both the superfluid density and the transition temperature follow a dome shape, but that the two are not monotonically related. The ground state of this 2DES is interpreted as a Josephson junction array, where a transition from long- to short-range order occurs as a function of the electronic doping. The synergy between correlated oxides and superconducting circuits is revealed to be a promising route to investigate these exotic compounds, complementary to standard magneto-transport measurements.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures and 10 pages of supplementary materia

Although many definitions have been made on "poetry" and "poet" and poetic opinions have been expressed since Plato and Aristotle, a standard perspective has not been developed on the transformation of feelings towards poetry into patterns; the forms consisting of subjective views on the concepts have continued to differ even today. In this study, in which the document analysis technique and the documenting method were employed, the poems of Uyaroğlu, a living value, which are considered to be the primary source of the poetics of Uyaroğlu, on the concepts of "poetry" and "poet", which still cannot be defined as a standard, were taken as a basis and the definitions and sources of the relevant writer for the concepts. It has been explained. The sources and qualities of his poems and poetry were emphasized throughout the study; it has been observed that the concepts of "poetry" and "poet" are consistent with each other in his works that mainly reflect his character, and all kinds of arguments about human can be poetry in Uyaroğlu's works. According to Uyaroğlu, poetry is fed by hope, ache, resentment, anger, pain, anger, darkness, sadness, death; it is a bloody, dirty, nocturnal, dangerous, tired, black, cursed, wild, arrogant, vocal species. He is a poet who has expressed his sources by using his poems as his means - unpretentious, quarrelsome, warrior, rebellious, combative, vigorous, combative, deceitful, cursed, hard in love, curious, determined, sometimes confused, animal lover and creative. As a result, it is also thought that the poet will provide important information and different perspectives to the readers and interested parties in the process of forming the definitions of the concepts related to his works

Self-compacting concrete (SCC) has been developed using new generation superplasticizers and different mineral admixtures, and can be consolidated under its own weight without any vibration. It is suitable for high performance and densely reinforced structures as well as in most applications where traditionally vibrated concrete is used. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of constituent materials on rheological properties of cement paste, mortar and concrete by application of factorial analysis method. Water/binder, mineral admixture/binder, chemical admixture/binder and sand/binder ratios were chosen as variables in the analysis. Slump-flow, viscosity (relative torque viscosity for concrete)  and yield shear (relative yield torque for concrete) were rheological parameters and their variations by time up to 90 minutes were recorded. A fly ash and a silica fume were used as fine materials for partial substitution of the normal Portland cement. By the factorial analysis the composition factors significantly influencing the rheological properties are determined. Test results show that, although the cement paste and mortar prepared with self-compacting superplasticizer, act as Bingham materials, the yield torque for the concrete approaches to zero indicating approximately a Newtonian-material behaviour. Keywords: Self-compacting concrete, concrete viscosimeter, workability, rheology, superplasticizer, mineral admixture

Background: The aim of the study was to investigate the impact of nutritional status, comorbidity, and performance status on patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 112 DLBCL patients who were diagnosed at our center between 2009 and 2018. Demographic and disease characteristics and laboratory test results were recorded. Assessments were made using the age-adjusted Charlson comorbidity index (CCI-A) for comorbidity, albumin level for nutritional status, and Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) score for performance status. Results: The mean age of the patients was found to be 62.63 ± 15.16 years. The ECOG score of 65 patients (69.1%) was in the range of 0-1. The mean follow-up time of the patients was determined to be 25.24 ± 25.11 months, and at the end of the follow-up period, 64 patients (57.1%) were survivors. The progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and 5-year OS rates of those with CCI-A > 4 were found to be significantly lower than those with CCI-A score ≤4 (P < 0.05). As a result of the Cox-Regression (Backward: LR method) analysis, ECOG and albumin levels were found to be independent risk factors for both OS and PFS (P < 0.05). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that CCI-A, ECOG, and nutritional status are independent prognostic markers for DLBCL patients. Initial evaluation of these patients should include all these parameters, which are easily available at the time of diagnosis

Relation for the nonequilibrium population of the interface states: effects on the bias dependence of the ideality factors

    Get PDF
By an analysis of the exchange of carriers through a semiconductor junction, a general relationship for the nonequilibrium population of the interface states in Schottky barrier diodes has been derived. Based on this relationship, an analytical expression for the ideality factor valid in the whole range of applied bias has been given. This quantity exhibits two different behaviours depending on the value of the applied bias with respect to a critical voltage. This voltage, which depends on the properties of the interfacial layer, constitutes a new parameter to complete the characterization of these junctions. A simple interpretation of the different behaviours of the ideality factor has been given in terms of the nonequilibrium charging properties of interface states, which in turn explains why apparently different approaches have given rise to similar results. Finally, the relevance of our results has been considered on the determination of the density of interface states from nonideal current-voltage characteristics and in the evaluation of the effects of the interfacial layer thickness in metal-insulator-semiconductor tunnelling diodes

Objective: Turner syndrome (TS) is a chromosomal disorder caused by complete or partial X chromosome monosomy that manifests various clinical features depending on the karyotype and on the genetic background of affected girls. This study aimed to systematically investigate the key clinical features of TS in relationship to karyotype in a large pediatric Turkish patient population. Methods: Our retrospective study included 842 karyotype-proven TS patients aged 0-18 years who were evaluated in 35 different centers in Turkey in the years 2013-2014. Results: The most common karyotype was 45,X (50.7%), followed by 45,X/46,XX (10.8%), 46,X,i(Xq) (10.1%) and 45,X/46,X,i(Xq) (9.5%). Mean age at diagnosis was 10.2±4.4 years. The most common presenting complaints were short stature and delayed puberty. Among patients diagnosed before age one year, the ratio of karyotype 45,X was significantly higher than that of other karyotype groups. Cardiac defects (bicuspid aortic valve, coarctation of the aorta and aortic stenosi) were the most common congenital anomalies, occurring in 25% of the TS cases. This was followed by urinary system anomalies (horseshoe kidney, double collector duct system and renal rotation) detected in 16.3%. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis was found in 11.1% of patients, gastrointestinal abnormalities in 8.9%, ear nose and throat problems in 22.6%, dermatologic problems in 21.8% and osteoporosis in 15.3%. Learning difficulties and/or psychosocial problems were encountered in 39.1%. Insulin resistance and impaired fasting glucose were detected in 3.4% and 2.2%, respectively. Dyslipidemia prevalence was 11.4%. Conclusion: This comprehensive study systematically evaluated the largest group of karyotype-proven TS girls to date. The karyotype distribution, congenital anomaly and comorbidity profile closely parallel that from other countries and support the need for close medical surveillance of these complex patients throughout their lifespan. © Journal of Clinical Research in Pediatric Endocrinology
