Abstract

Hamsiköy Neighborhood, located at the foot of the Zigana Mountain, which is 50 kilometers away from the city center of Trabzon, at an altitude of 1300, is famous for its natural beauties. It is oneof the prominent settlements in tourism with the increasing interest of tourists in recent years.Especially in recent years due to the increasing number of tourists and tourists began to buy landHamsiköy undergo a major change. For this reason, uncontrolled construction continues and thecenter of the neighborhood becomes very crowded especially in summer. Due to the uncontrolledconstruction, the authenticity and natural beauties of the neighborhood have been endangered.Hamsiköy has been in danger of losing its original value in the future. In this study the builtenvironment, which changes depending on the number of tourists, its changes in the historical process and its effects in the neighborhood are conveyed. The changes that occur due to tourismeffect are explained by supporting the photos and population data of the neighborhood. Hamsiköy,which is known as a new destination, has started to be unplanned, fast and disorganized structurein order to make it more attractive for tourist so it is moving away from its existing original fabricand losing its old soul unity. The ongoing construction without considering the impact on thenatural structure and lifestyle of the Hamsiköy loses much more than what it has earnedeconomically
