Gender, Science And Technology: The State Of The Art According To Journals Of Gender Studies

Este trabalho pretende apresentar o estado da arte dos estudos sobre gênero, ciência e tecnologia no Brasil, a partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica em artigos científicos publicados em quatro periódicos brasileiros da área de gênero, no período de 2000 a 2015. A partir desta análise, verificamos os objetivos e principais resultados das pesquisas, mapeando essa área de estudo, apresentando suas intersecções e tendências. Aponta-se o crescente avanço dos estudos de gênero em Ciência e Tecnologia, bem como os desafios impostos nesse campo de estudo.4

This work aims to analyze the not told about the issues of gender in theses and dissertations produced by the the Interinstitutional Group Demands and Possibilities of PROEJA in Paraná. The methodology used to develop the study was analytical research, bibliographical, and dissertations and theses as objects of analysis. At first we present a theoretical overview of gender issues, education and work, bases for the research. Subsequently we conducted a short state of the art about young and adult education and, more specifically, PROEJA, between the years 2006 and 2012 in the thesis database Capes. From the result we seek from these works, dissertations and theses that specifically address the gender issues. Then we perform the same process at the state level, specifically in works produced in the Interinstitutional Group Demands and Possibilities of PROEJA in Paraná, a group created from issuance to financing linked to the MEC/SETEC, focus chosen to undertake our discussion. After reading the 12 dissertations and the thesis, we selected four themes common in the searches to discuss the gender theories: (a) the admission of students in PROEJA, (b) avoidance, (c) teachers and (d) language used by the researcher and his/her interviewees. As a result, we point out a great demand for research on gender and young and adult education, because most of the researches, issues related to women is silenced and/or naturalized, stereotypes culturally constructed socio-historical-swarming in dissertations and theses, but there is no discussion or recovery.CAPESO presente trabalho objetiva analisar o não dito sobre as questões relativas à gênero nas teses e dissertações produzidas pelo Grupo Interinstitucional Demandas e Potencialidades do PROEJA no Paraná. A metodologia utilizada para o desenvolvimento do estudo foi pesquisa analítica, do tipo bibliográfica, tendo dissertações e teses como objetos de análise. Em um primeiro momento apresentamos um apanhado teórico sobre questões de gênero, educação e trabalho, bases para a pesquisa. Posteriormente realizamos um breve estado da arte sobre EJA e, mais especificamente, PROEJA, entre os anos de 2006 e 2012 no Banco de Teses da Capes. A partir do resultado buscamos dentre esses trabalhos, dissertações e teses que abordem especificamente a temática de gênero. Em seguida realizamos este mesmo processo em âmbito estadual, mais especificamente em trabalhos produzidos no Grupo Interinstitucional Demandas e Potencialidades do PROEJA no Paraná, grupo criado a partir de edital para financiamento vinculado ao MEC/SETEC, foco escolhido para empreender nossa discussão. Após a leitura das 12 dissertações e uma tese selecionamos quatro temáticas comuns às pesquisas para discutirmos junto às teorias de gênero: (a) o ingresso de estudantes no PROEJA, (b) evasão, (c) corpo docente e (d) linguagem utilizada pela pesquisadora e por seus/suas entrevistados/as. Como resultado, apontamos uma grande demanda por pesquisas sobre gênero e EJA, pois na maioria das pesquisas as questões relacionadas à mulher é silenciada e/ou naturalizada, estereótipos construídos sócio-histórico-culturalmente pululam nas dissertações e teses, mas não há discussão ou valorização

Diagnóstico do uso de energia elétrica em um abatedouro de frangos

In slaughterhouses, the operations that occur are heavily dependent on electricity. This study aimed to diagnose, analyze and propose solutions that lead to the rational use of electricity, without interfering, or maintain, the quality of the final product on the production lines of a broiler slaughterhouse. The work was carried through in a slaughterhouse of broilers, located in São Paulo, in the period of 2004 to 2008. It was found that the compressors responsible for maintaining cold the refrigerated environment showed the highest consumption of electricity in the fridge, representing 97% of total consumption. It was observed that in none of the evaluated electric motors the power factor reaches the value recommended by ANEEL, and that possibly the energy efficiency indicators can be optimized. Este estudo teve como objetivo diagnosticar, analisar e propor soluções que levem ao uso racional de energia elétrica, sem interferir, e manter, a qualidade do produto final nas linhas de produção de frangos de corte matadouro. O trabalho foi realizado em um matadouro de frangos de corte, localizada em São Paulo, no período de 2004 a 2008. Verificou-se que os compressores responsáveis pela manutenção da frio do ambiente refrigerado apresentaram o maior consumo de electricidade no frigorífico, o que representa 97% do consumo total. Foi observado que em nenhum dos motores elétricos avaliados o fator de potência atinge o valor recomendado pela ANEEL, e que, possivelmente, os indicadores de eficiência energética pode ser otimizado. Concluiu-se que existem falhas no uso da energia elétrica, demonstrando a necessidade de implementar um plano de ação que visa a conservação e uso racional de energia e conseqüente redução do custo de produção de carne de frango

“TÁ ESTRESSANTE DEMAIS”: impacto da pandemia do Coronavírus na vida das mulheres

The purpose of this article is to present the perception of women mothers about the changes that occurred in their routine during the Coronavirus pandemic period. Data collection took place through an online questionnaire composed of objective and descriptive questions made available on social networks answered by 174 women, of these, 160 mothers. The results point to an increase in the burden of domestic work, the abandonment of paid work in favor of family day-to-day and feelings of guilt, for evaluating not being able to carry out all activities as they should, especially in view of the need to accompany / children in distance classes.O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar a percepção de mulheres mães sobre as mudanças ocorridas em sua rotina no período de pandemia do Coronavírus. A coleta de dados se deu por meio de um questionário online composto por perguntas objetivas e descritivas disponibilizado nas redes sociais respondido por 174 mulheres, destas, 160 mães. Os resultados apontam para o aumento da carga de trabalho doméstico, o abandono do trabalho remunerado em prol do dia-a-dia familiar e sentimento de culpa, por avaliar não conseguir realizar todas as atividades como deveria, principalmente perante a necessidade de acompanhar os/as filhos/as em aulas a distância

The critical adventure of semiotics courses through the main theses about semiotics and communication that have been discussed during the first stage of the research Critical Semiotics: Towards a theory of materialities in communication. In it, the Semiotics and Communication Cultures Research Group (GPESC) discussed the potentialities and limits of a communicational perspective not only based on the founding works of semiotic research (Saussure, Peirce) and developed in its structuralist models (Jakobson, Barthes, Hjelmslev, Lotman), but also revisited by ideas that deconstructed structuralism through the postulates of this very structuralism (Derrida, Kristeva, Deleuze, Guattari). The paper presents this suggestion by means of ten deconstructions related to concepts and theoretical problems which are key to the debate around the materialities of communication: semiotics, communication, materialities, presence, phenomenon, representamen, mediums, sign and significant, structure and system. Considerações gerais sobre a síncope: uma abordagem clínica : General considerations about syncope: a clinical approach

O seguinte estudo objetivou descrever sobre as etiologias e o respectivo quadro clínico da síncope. A síncope é classificado como um sintoma de perda da consciência devido redução do fluxo sanguíneo cerebral, secundário a uma etiologia. Tal evento costuma ser confundido com outras condições associadas a perda de conhecimento, apesar de para se diagnosticar como síncope é necessário descartar demais alterações. A síncope é uma condição que têm como fisiopatologia o hipofluxo de sangue no cérebro, mas conta com diversas causas como a neuromediada, ortostática, cardíaca, cerebrovascular e até idiopática,  resultam em quadros clínicos distintos e complicações, mas o mesmo desfecho. Tal evento necessita ser investigado e detectado de imediato, por história clínica, exame físico e complementares

Pervasive gaps in Amazonian ecological research

Biodiversity loss is one of the main challenges of our time,1,2 and attempts to address it require a clear un derstanding of how ecological communities respond to environmental change across time and space.3,4 While the increasing availability of global databases on ecological communities has advanced our knowledge of biodiversity sensitivity to environmental changes,5–7 vast areas of the tropics remain understudied.8–11 In the American tropics, Amazonia stands out as the world’s most diverse rainforest and the primary source of Neotropical biodiversity,12 but it remains among the least known forests in America and is often underrepre sented in biodiversity databases.13–15 To worsen this situation, human-induced modifications16,17 may elim inate pieces of the Amazon’s biodiversity puzzle before we can use them to understand how ecological com munities are responding. To increase generalization and applicability of biodiversity knowledge,18,19 it is thus crucial to reduce biases in ecological research, particularly in regions projected to face the most pronounced environmental changes. We integrate ecological community metadata of 7,694 sampling sites for multiple or ganism groups in a machine learning model framework to map the research probability across the Brazilian Amazonia, while identifying the region’s vulnerability to environmental change. 15%–18% of the most ne glected areas in ecological research are expected to experience severe climate or land use changes by 2050.
