In 2012 my father was diagnosed as having prostate cancer. After this bad omen, the monsters are seen in the magnetic resonances. They invade my father's body, taking parts of his interior, making transformations, breaking the balance of the body and taking him to his death. My research process – start the creation and observation of the images of the MRI performed on my father on April 23, 2012 to take into account if the cancer has invaded elsewhere in the body near the prostate, which was already affected because of the disease. The images of the magnetic resonances become the drawing; the drawing, the history, the drawing, the history, the characters, the fantasy, the monsters, the theme, the story. It goes into the world of monsters. Thus begins the journey of this story, going through my childhood, my fears and death. To identify in an interior, personal search, to understand the perspective of my own life, of my existence. So that the search that I undertake helps me to dissipate my fears

Keywords: production of speech, speech disorders, evaluation of myofunctional, default replacement, distortion, inaccuracy.Tesi

Verifying goal-oriented specifications used in model-driven development processes

[EN] Goal-oriented requirements engineering promotes the use of goals to elicit, elaborate, structure, specify, analyze, negotiate, document, and modify requirements. Thus, goal-oriented specifications are essential for capturing the objectives that the system to be developed should achieve. However, the application of goal oriented specifications into model-driven development (MDD) processes is still handcrafted, not aligned in the automated flow from models to code. In other words, the experience of analysts and designers is necessary to manually transform the input goal-oriented models into system models for code generation (models compilation). Some authors have proposed guidelines to facilitate and partially automate this translation, but there is a lack of techniques to assess the adequacy of goal-oriented models as starting point of MDD processes. In this paper, we present and evaluate a verification approach that guarantees the automatic, correct, and complete transformation of goal-oriented models into design models used by specific MDD solutions. In particular, this approach has been put into practice by adopting a well-known goal-oriented modeling approach, the i* framework, and an industrial MDD solution called Integranova. This work has been developed with the support of FONDECYT under the projects AMoDDI 11130583 and TESTMODE 11121395.This work is also supported by EOSSAC project, funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of the Spanish government (TIN2013-44641-P).Giachetti Herrera, GA.; Marín, B.; López, L.; Franch, X.; Pastor López, O. In the present work we identified the factors that affect in the teenager maternity in patients of the service of set accommodation of the Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal (INMP) of Lima using of the theory of multiple logistic regression (Hosmer y Lemeshow, 2000; Uriel, 2005). We made a questionnaire and consider questions with respect to the features of the teenager mothers: education level, age of the union, knowledge of sex education and family planning, and so on. Features home: structure of the household, marital status of parents, union of parents, educational level of parents, number of brothers and sisters, and so on. The final data was taken from October the 2007 to March the 2008, with the application of the final instrument to mothers hospitalized in the services of set accommodation of the INMP. (Solano et. Al, 2007). For the calculus of the size of the samplc we used the proposed Freeman (1987); the mother were select at random until completed the size of the sample of two hundred forty two

The evolution of the ventilatory ratio is a prognostic factor in mechanically ventilated COVID-19 ARDS patients

Background: Mortality due to COVID-19 is high, especially in patients requiring mechanical ventilation. The purpose of the study is to investigate associations between mortality and variables measured during the first three days of mechanical ventilation in patients with COVID-19 intubated at ICU admission. Methods: Multicenter, observational, cohort study includes consecutive patients with COVID-19 admitted to 44 Spanish ICUs between February 25 and July 31, 2020, who required intubation at ICU admission and mechanical ventilation for more than three days. We collected demographic and clinical data prior to admission; information about clinical evolution at days 1 and 3 of mechanical ventilation; and outcomes. Results: Of the 2,095 patients with COVID-19 admitted to the ICU, 1,118 (53.3%) were intubated at day 1 and remained under mechanical ventilation at day three. From days 1 to 3, PaO2/FiO2 increased from 115.6 [80.0-171.2] to 180.0 [135.4-227.9] mmHg and the ventilatory ratio from 1.73 [1.33-2.25] to 1.96 [1.61-2.40]. In-hospital mortality was 38.7%. A higher increase between ICU admission and day 3 in the ventilatory ratio (OR 1.04 [CI 1.01-1.07], p = 0.030) and creatinine levels (OR 1.05 [CI 1.01-1.09], p = 0.005) and a lower increase in platelet counts (OR 0.96 [CI 0.93-1.00], p = 0.037) were independently associated with a higher risk of death. No association between mortality and the PaO2/FiO2 variation was observed (OR 0.99 [CI 0.95 to 1.02], p = 0.47). Conclusions: Higher ventilatory ratio and its increase at day 3 is associated with mortality in patients with COVID-19 receiving mechanical ventilation at ICU admission. No association was found in the PaO2/FiO2 variation

Clonal chromosomal mosaicism and loss of chromosome Y in elderly men increase vulnerability for SARS-CoV-2

The pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19) had an estimated overall case fatality ratio of 1.38% (pre-vaccination), being 53% higher in males and increasing exponentially with age. Among 9578 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the SCOURGE study, we found 133 cases (1.42%) with detectable clonal mosaicism for chromosome alterations (mCA) and 226 males (5.08%) with acquired loss of chromosome Y (LOY). Individuals with clonal mosaic events (mCA and/or LOY) showed a 54% increase in the risk of COVID-19 lethality. LOY is associated with transcriptomic biomarkers of immune dysfunction, pro-coagulation activity and cardiovascular risk. Interferon-induced genes involved in the initial immune response to SARS-CoV-2 are also down-regulated in LOY. Thus, mCA and LOY underlie at least part of the sex-biased severity and mortality of COVID-19 in aging patients. Given its potential therapeutic and prognostic relevance, evaluation of clonal mosaicism should be implemented as biomarker of COVID-19 severity in elderly people. Among 9578 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the SCOURGE study, individuals with clonal mosaic events (clonal mosaicism for chromosome alterations and/or loss of chromosome Y) showed an increased risk of COVID-19 lethality

    No full text
* Interacciones Csp3-H···A-. * Interacciones Anión-π. The main objective of this PhD is the synthesis and the comparative study of new dipodal receptors in the anion recognition process by hydrogen or halogen bonding interactions, as well as a detailed study of the anion binding mode. The 1,2,3-triazolium ring was used as anion binging site. In order to study how affects the incorporation of substituents with different electronic characteristics in the anion recognition process, electron-donor, electron-acceptor and neutral substituents have been incorporated in the 4-position of the 1,2,3-triazolium ring. The incorporation of bridges with different sizes: naphthalene, phenol and binaphthol have allowed to determine how the size of the cavity affects in the anion recognition process. During this PhD, we have paid special attention to the binding mode between the receptors and anions. In addition to the more obvious halogen or hydrogen bond interactions, other non-covalent interactions have been detected, among which we highlight: * Csp2-H····A- hydrogen bonds interactions. * Csp3-H···A- interactions * Anion-π interactions. Finally, we have demonstrated one of the initial hypotheses of this PhD, which is that polydentate halogen-bond receptors can form supramolecular polymers by the formation of consecutive intermolecular complexes through monomer-anion interactions by halogen bond, preferably to the recognition by a single receptor. The molecules synthesized, have been characterized and studied by mass spectrometry, melting point, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, Fluorescence, UV-Vis and Electrochemical. In the case of supramolecular polymers, we have also been used Electron Microscopy, X-Ray Diffraction, Dynamic Light Scattering and Circular Dichroism among others

International audienceThe degradation of the 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid in aqueous solution is an hydrolysis reaction. Two products are identified: 2,4-dichlorophenol and glycolic acid. Reaction is investigated as a function of pH and temperature, and it is first-order kinetics and pH-dependent. Reaction is modeled in gas phase, where a proton catalyses the reaction. Critical points of PES are calculated at B3LYP/6-311++G(3df,2p), and aug-cc-pvqz//6-311++G(3df,2p) levels plus ZPE at 6-311++G(3df,2p) level. The activation barrier is 21.2 kcal/mol. Theoretical results agree with the experimental results. A second mechanism related with a Cl2Ph-O-CH2-COOH center dot center dot center dot H2O complex is found, but with a rate limiting step of 38.4 kcal/mol. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved

    Get PDF
The Huaura-Sayan Valley covers an area of 4,770 km² and has agriculture as its main economic activity, where sugarcane predominates. Currently, there are a total of 7,737 farmers with a total of 28,098 hectares of crops and around 108 types of crops. Likewise, 53% of the cultivated area is dominated by three crops: sugarcane, corn and avocado in its different varieties. The failure of the Agrarian Reform led to the division of land giving rise to the atomization of small farmers. This situation leads farmers to lack the capacity for negotiation and association that allows them to provide themselves with inputs at lower prices, as well as access to a fair retribution of the value of their production in front of the sugar mills. Furthermore, this reality brings the opportunity for the implementation of a Supplies Center that in addition to offering products at competitive prices, provides technical advice to the farmer, improving their productivity as well as allowing them access to quality control through the measurement of sucrose, which will allow them to have a negotiation tool in front of the mill. Under a conservative analysis, the economic results of the proposed business model are favorable. With a NPV of S / 430,751, an IRR of 68.64% and a recovery period of two years, it is concluded that it is a profitable and sustainable model.Trabajo de investigació
