The ambiguity of ¿violence¿ and ¿power¿ will be interpreted as meaning that vertebrates the modern political Estate, whether in its constituent role in Machiavelli, Hobbes and Spinoza, or whether in its double critical role: of the Machine-Estate in the setting of early Idealism (Hölderlin, Schelling and Hegel) or of Law, starting from the existential claim to violence (C. Schmitt and W. Benjamin)

Establishing Degradation Rates And Service Lifetime Of Photovoltaic Systems

As fossil fuel sources continue to diminish, oil prices continue to increase, and global warming and CO2 emissions keep impacting the environment, it has been necessary to shift energy consumption and generation to a different path. Solar energy has proven to be one of the most promising sources of renewable energy because it is environmentally friendly, available anywhere in the world, and cost competitive. For photovoltaic (PV) system engineers, designing a PV system is not an easy task. Research demonstrates that different PV technologies behave differently under certain conditions; therefore energy production varies not only with capacity of the system but also with the type of module. For years, researchers have also studied how these different technologies perform for long periods of time, when exposed out in the field. In this study, data collected by the Florida Solar Energy Center for periods of over four years was analyzed using two techniques, widely accepted by researchers and industry, to evaluate the long‐term performance of five systems. The performance ratio analysis normalizes system capacity and enables the comparison of performance between multiple systems. In PVUSA Regression analysis, regression coefficients are calculated which correspond to the effect of irradiance, wind speed, and ambient temperature, and these coefficients are then used to calculate power at a predetermined set of conditions. This study allows manufacturers to address the difficulties found on system lifetime when their modules are installed out on the field. Also allows for the further development and improvement of the different PV technologies already commercially available

Development of an education resource for families and clients navigating through end-of-life care with at-home palliation

    Get PDF
Background: Community health nurses (CHNs) play a pivotal role in providing end-of-life care to clients diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Providing quality end-of-life care is an ethical obligation. Eastern Health’s palliative end-of-life care program (PEOLC) offers nursing care, equipment, services, and support. However, the caregiver’s need for practical information about end-of-life issues is not addressed. Purpose: To develop an educational resource to assist clients and families during end-of-life and to provide a framework for new CHNs in home palliation. Methods: An informal Needs Assessment, a literature review, an environmental scan, and consultations with four CHNs involved with home palliation. Results: An educational resource was developed to address the practical end-of-life issues identified in the literature review and consultations. Conclusion: An improved delivery of care for at-home palliation in the community for clients and families, and a framework for new CHNs

LA NATURALEZA REACCIONARIA DE LA FILOSOFIA

    Get PDF
For this essay, philosophy has a reactionary character which is a symptom of its finitude and of its facticity.

It also explores the deep difference that from the very beginning marks the different idealist (logical‐historical) and romantic (historical‐hermeneutic) destiny of the meaning of infinite. With its demand of admitting really and not only logically the connection finite/infinite, Romanticism will formulate an artistic concept of Philosophy whose ultimate limit would have to correspond with Poetry.KEY WORDSINFINITE, EARLY ROMANTICISM, EARLEY IDEALISM, PHILOSOPHY OF ART, ESTHETICS, SCHLEGEL, NOVALIS, SCHELLIN

Da-sein y Ereignis. La intraducibilidad filosófica del significado "ser"

    Get PDF
