Las narrativas en la construcción de una identidad masculina en adolescentes

"El principal objetivo del presente estudio consistía en indagar como los jóvenes han forjado su identidad masculina, teniendo en cuenta el contexto familiar, escolar y social. El trabajo de investigación fue llevado a cabo con jóvenes entre los 13 y 15 años de la localidad de Kennedy en Bogotá, los cuales hacen parte del programa de ""promotores y promotoras de paz"" de la fundación FUNDECOM. Se realizó una aproximación cualitativa a partir de entrevistas semiestructuradas y construidas a partir del método biográfico, en donde los datos obtenidos, fueron analizados desde la teoría de nuevas masculinidades y psicosocial, teniendo en cuenta los relatos en torno a la subjetividad y al contexto de los participantes. Desde este abordaje se pudo concluir que aun en los jóvenes hay características propias de la masculinidad hegemónica y popular que son aprendidas y legitimadas, pero que a su vez han implicado un proceso de rechazo y crítica en los adolescentes, encontrados nuevas maneras de narrarse.""The main objective in this research was to identify, how the adolescents have shaped their masculine identities taking into account the familiar, social and school context. This research was developed with 13 and 15 years old adolescents from Kennedy, a popular neighborhood in Bogotá, that were part of the ""Promotores y Promotoras de Paz"" program from the FUNDECOM foundation. This study was realized in a qualitative approximation that include structured and semi-structured interviews based on the biographic method. Regarding the collected data, this was analyzed from a new masculinities and a psychosocial perspective, which were taken from the discourses about the subjectivity and context of the participants. This brought to the conclusion that both, the hegemonic and the popular masculinity were learnt and legitimize. Long short-term memory networks for earthquake detection in Venezuelan regions

Reliable earthquake detection and location algorithms are necessary to properly catalog and analyze the continuously growing seismic records. This paper reports the results of applying Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks to single-station three-channel waveforms for P-wave earthquake detection in western and north central regions of Venezuela. El desempeño docente dentro del marco de las exigencias del SINEACE en el Instituto de Educación Superior Pedagógico Público "Nuestra Señora de la Asunción", Otuzco, La Libertad, 2019

Esta investigación se desarrolló con la finalidad de determinar el nivel de desempeño alcanzado por los docentes del Instituto de Educación Superior Pedagógico Publico “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción” Otuzco, La Libertad, dentro del marco de las exigencias del SINEACE; dada la naturaleza de la investigación y para determinar el tamaño de la muestra se utilizó el muestreo no probabilístico, por consiguiente, se consideró al total de docentes del Instituto de Educación Superior Pedagógico Publico “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción” Otuzco La libertad. El tipo de investigación es descriptivo, En el proceso de investigación se consideró a 18 docentes, por consiguiente, con respecto a los resultados luego de aplicar el sistema de evaluación del desempeño docente de manera global muestran que el 72% de los docentes tiene calificación de alto y el 8% una calificación de regular y ninguno es calificado como bajo por lo que se confirma la hipótesis planteada.The present thesis entitled: The Teaching Performance within the Framework of the Requirements of SINEACE in the Institute of Higher Education Pedagogical Public "Our Lady of the Assumption", Otuzco, La Libertad, 2019, was developed in order to determine the level of performance reached by the teachers of the Institute of Higher Education Pedagogical Public "Our Lady of the Assumption" Otuzco, La Libertad, within the framework of the requirements of the SINEACE; given the nature of the research and to determine the size of the sample, non-probabilistic sampling was used, therefore, the total of teachers of the Institute of Public Higher Education Pedagogical "Our Lady of the Assumption" Otuzco La Libertad was considered. The type of research is descriptive. In the research process, 18 teachers were considered, therefore, with respect to the results after applying the teacher performance evaluation system in a global way, they show that 72% of the teachers have a qualification of high and 8% a regular rating and none is qualified as low so the hypothesis is confirmed.Tesi

STEAM, sociedad y extensión universitaria en Colombia: Una propuesta preliminar desde el Buen Vivir

This paper presents a descriptive analysis of three university outreach projects in the STEAM area, in light of the objectives of Buen Vivir. It discusses about the role of the university in society, both from the hegemonic vision and some alternative proposals in the Global South. In addition, the different dimensions of the STEAM are shown and how they can be articulated to the idea of Buen Vivir. Various models of university extension are described, focusing on solidarity outreach from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, that is the way by which the projects studied were carried out with rural and urban communities. Although these were not carried out based on Sumak Kawsay, as they were thought, designed and executed from a transformative critical position, the analysis is possible and compatible. It is concluded that it is possible and viable to manage and execute STEAM processes of outreach within an academy against the logic of the prevailing market, generating concrete and diverse alternatives to development.Este trabajo presenta un análisis descriptivo de tres proyectos de extensión universitaria en el área de STEAM, a la luz de los Objetivos del Buen Vivir. Para ello se discute el rol de la universidad en la sociedad, tanto desde la visión hegemónica como algunas propuestas alternativas en el Sur Global. Se exponen, adicionalmente, las diferentes dimensiones STEAM y cómo se pueden articular a la idea de Buen Vivir. Se describen modelos de extensión universitaria, y se enfoca en la extensión solidaria de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, bajo la cual los proyectos estudiados fueron realizados con comunidades rurales y urbanas. Si bien éstos no se realizaron basados en el Sumak Kawsay, al ser pensados, diseñados y ejecutados desde una postura crítica transformadora, el análisis es posible y compatible. Se concluye que es viable gestar y ejecutar procesos STEAM de extensión dentro una academia en contravía a la lógica del mercado imperante, generando alternativas concretas y diversas al desarrollo

IoT high-frequency electronic transformer with dimmable output voltage using PWM signals

This work presents the design, simulation, and implementation of a low-power electronic transformer, which output effective voltage can be controlled wirelessly through WIFI, via a user interface on a mobile phone. The methodology used in this project consists of 4 stages, a rectifier, an inverter, the inverter’s control system, and a ferrite reducer. The inverter has a full-bridge design and was implemented using MOSFET. The control system can vary the frequency and duty cycle of the output signals, by phase shifting the control signals, thus achieving the functionality of reducing the effective output voltage. Circuit design simulations were performed using PsPice Orcad. The implementation and the mathematical model of the built electronic transformer are carried out. The designed transformer operates with a maximum input voltage of 120 Vrms at 60 Hz at frequencies between 20 kHz and 30 kHz, which are controlled through the user interface; can reduce a 120 Vrms 60 Hz input signal to an effective voltage between 10 Vrms and 20 Vrms at a maximum power of 50 W. CARACTERÍSTICAS NEUROMUSCULARES: CINEMÁTICA Y CINÉTICA EN ATLETAS UNIVERSITARIOS PRACTICANTES DE LEVANTAMIENTO DE PESAS Y ESTUDIANTES DE INICIACIÓN DEPORTIVA

Objetivo: Identificar las características neuromusculares a nivel cinético y cinemático existentes entre estudiantes universitarios practicantes de levantamiento de pesas y sedentarios. Método: se seleccionó una muestra voluntaria de 14 estudiantes que practican halterofilia y 10 que iniciaron un programa de entrenamiento con edades de 19.1 ± 10.1 años, estatura 164.1 ± 8 cts. y peso corporal 73 ± 40 kg. Se instruyó a los participantes sobre el Squat Jump (SJ), el cual consiste en realizar un salto vertical máximo partiendo desde posición de flexión de rodillas a 90°, con las manos en la cadera desde el inicio del movimiento y hasta finalizarlo evitando generar contra movimiento o rebote, los sujetos mantuvieron una posición erguida del tronco, efectuando la caída lo más próximo al lugar de inicio. Los registros de las variables cinéticas y cinemáticas se determinaron mediante un juego de 4 plataformas de fuerza BTS P-6000, sobre las cuales se realizaron 3 saltos de Squat Jump (SJ) tomando el promedio de estos para el análisis de este presente estudio.   Resultado: Los resultados han puesto de manifiesto que la potencia, altura de salto y velocidad máxima fue superior en los deportistas universitarios sin embargo se encontró un grado de similitud en la fuerza y la rigidez de piernas entre los deportistas universitarios y las personas que inician un programa de actividad físico-deportiva.  Conclusión: Se evidenció que los deportistas universitarios de levantamiento de pesas en comparación con las personas que inician un programa de entrenamiento deportivo y según las hipótesis planteadas, se encuentran en niveles de similitud en las variables de altura del salto, pico de velocidad, fuerza, rigidez de piernas de acuerdo a la especificidad del entrenamiento y la ausencia de ejercitación respectivamente. Se confirma una relevancia significativa en las variables de potencia y tasa del desarrollo de la fuerza concéntrica en la población de entrenados de acuerdo con la continuidad del proceso de entrenamient

Potential ecological and socio-economic effects of a novel megaherbivore introduction: The hippopotamus in Colombia

Introduced species can have strong ecological, social and economic effects on their non-native environment. Introductions of megafaunal species are rare and may contribute to rewilding efforts, but they may also have pronounced socio-ecological effects because of their scale of influence. A recent introduction of the hippopotamus Hippopotamus amphibius into Colombia is a novel introduction of a megaherbivore onto a new continent, and raises questions about the future dynamics of the socio-ecological system into which it has been introduced. Here we synthesize current knowledge about the Colombian hippopotamus population, review the literature on the species to predict potential ecological and socio-economic effects of this introduction, and make recommendations for future study. Hippopotamuses can have high population growth rates (7-11%) and, on the current trajectory, we predict there could be 400-800 individuals in Colombia by 2050. The hippopotamus is an ecosystem engineer that can have profound effects on terrestrial and aquatic environments and could therefore affect the native biodiversity of the Magdalena River basin. Hippopotamuses are also aggressive and may pose a threat to the many inhabitants of the region who rely upon the Magdalena River for their livelihoods, although the species could provide economic benefits through tourism. Further research is needed to quantify the current and future size and distribution of this hippopotamus population and to predict the likely ecological, social and economic effects. This knowledge must be balanced with consideration of social and cultural concerns to develop appropriate management strategies for this novel introduction

Migración hacia la plataforma de productividad Microsoft 365 en empresa del sector petrolero

El presente proyecto consiste en la migración de servicios Microsoft actuales en una empresa del sector petrolero hacia la plataforma de productividad denominada Microsoft 365 para brindar mejores herramientas a la compañía, centralizar el gobierno de políticas de TI y brindar servicios eficientes que permitan colaboración, integración y seguridad con administración centralizada. Por tanto, deberá trabajarse tres frentes importantes: el primero consta en migrar la infraestructura onpremise relacionada (infraestructura que existente dentro de la empresa) hacia la nube de Microsoft de servicios como correo electrónico, comunicaciones unificadas y de gestión documental, el segundo unificar los sistemas operativos y demás software de los equipos de cómputo cliente de modo que puedan ser gestionados y administrados de manera centralizada y por último, un componente de capacitación acerca las herramientas que ofrece Microsoft Office 365 de modo que su adopción permita mejorar la productividad de la compañía. Evaluation of the in vitro antimicrobial activity of extracts of Persea americana (Avocado) variety Choquette on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli

Las enfermedades infecciosas se encuentran entre las primeras causas de muerte a nivel mundial y la situación se agravada por la aparición progresiva de resistencia a las terapias farmacológicas convencionales. La Persea americana (aguacate), posee sustancias activas que regulan la proliferación de algunos microorganismos patógenos. El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar la actividad antimicrobiana y concentración mínima inhibitoria de extractos de Persea americana variedad Choquette sobre el crecimiento de S. aureus ATCC 29213 y E. coli ATCC 25922. La presente fue una investigación de tipo experimental en la que se utilizaron extractos de la cáscara, pulpa y semilla a partir de solventes orgánicos. Se determinó la concentración mínima inhibidora (CMI) y bactericida (CMB) de cada extracto utilizando placas de agar Mueller Hinton las cuales fueron inoculadas con la suspensión bacteriana ajustada. La CMI y CMB para la E. coli. Tratada con la cáscara (solvente hexano y el cloroformo) fue de (1/2)1000 mg/ml; la CMI y CMB para el S. aureus (con los solventes cloroformo y acetato de etilo) fue de (1/2)1000 mg/ml, el extracto de la pulpa no presentó actividad antimicrobiana para ambos microorganismos. Los resultados reflejan actividad antimicrobiana en cascara y semilla, por lo que se propone desarrollar nuevas investigaciones orientadas hacia la caracterización de estos compuestos con miras al desarrollo de fármacos antimicrobianos.Infectious diseases are among the leading causes of death worldwide and the situation is aggravated by the progressive emergence of resistance to conventional drug therapies. The Persea americana (avocado), has active substances that regulate the proliferation of some pathogenic microorganisms. The objective of this research was to evaluate the antimicrobial activity and minimum inhibitory concentration of extracts of Persea americana variety Choquette on the growth of S. aureus ATCC 29213 and E. coli ATCC 25922. The present was an experimental investigation using extracts of the shell, pulp and seed from organic solvents. The minimum inhibitory (MIC) and bactericidal (MIB) concentration of each extract was determined using Mueller Hinton agar plates which were inoculated with the adjusted bacterial suspension. The MIC and CMB for E. coli. Treated with the shell (hexane solvent and chloroform) was (1/2)1000 mg/ml; the MIC and CMB for S. aureus (with the solvents chloroform and ethyl acetate) was (1/2)1000 mg/ml, the pulp extract did not present antimicrobial activity for both microorganisms. The results reflect antimicrobial activity in shell and seed, so it is proposed to develop further research aimed at the characterization of these compounds for the development of antimicrobial drugs
