    En el presente proyecto de investigación se resume en tres partes relevantes para el equipo de investigación, por lo tanto se describen a continuación: En la primera fase se encuentra conformada con los capítulos I y II , los cuales fundamentan teóricamente la investigación; en el capitulo I el planteamiento del problema, la descripción del problema y las causas que originan el problemas donde se detalla el esquema de causa y efecto de la problemática, justificación del problemática, formulación de objetivos, alcances y limitaciones que intervinieron en el proceso de investigación. En el capitulo II se encuentra el marco de referencia; comprendiendo así el marco filosófico antropológico, en el cual se detallan las generalidades de las empresas dedicadas a la importación, empaque y venta de leche en polvo, así también el posicionamiento de la marca IRA 26; el marco teórico conceptual contiene toda la información que sustenta las variables de la investigación. En la segunda fase se presenta la investigación de campo realizada por el equipo de trabajo, en cual está constituida por los capítulos III, IV, V, VI, VII. En el capitulo III se encuentra la formulación de hipótesis, capitulo IV se encuentra la metodología de la investigación donde se plasma el diseño de la investigación, el tipo de investigación y el diseño de la muestra. Tanto para la oferta como para demanda, en el capitulo V se detalla la ejecución de la recolección de datos, pasando así al capitulo VI donde se analiza e interpretan los datos colectados, proyectándolos gráficamente. Para terminar el capitulo VII donde se plantean las conclusiones y recomendaciones hechas a la investigación de mercados. La tercera fase comprende el capitulo VIII del presente documento, en el cual se realiza la propuesta de solución a la problemática realizando un cruce de información con la investigación de mercados, para la propuesta de implementación de un “Modelo de Marketing Estratégico de Multinivel para la gran Empresa Inversiones Comerciales Escobar S.A. de C.V.     Enhancement of synchronized vortex lattice motion in hybrid magnetic/amorphous superconducting nanostructures

    et al.Superconducting a-Mo3Si and Nb films have been grown on arrays of Ni nanodots. We have studied the vortex lattice dynamics close to critical temperatures. Different vortex lattice configurations are obtained with the same array unit cell. These different vortex lattices occur at matching conditions between the vortex lattice and the array unit cell. The interplay between the random intrinsic pinning of the superconducting films and the periodic pinning of the array govern the vortex lattice configurations. Different vortex lattice configurations and enhancement of synchronized vortex lattice motion are obtained by increasing the periodic pinning strength and decreasing the random pinning strength.This work was supported by the Spanish Ministerio Ciencia e Innovacion, Grant Nos.     Methodological Advances in the Design of Photovoltaic Irrigation

    In this study, an algorithm has been developed that manages photovoltaic solar energy in such a manner that all generated power is delivered to the system formed by a pump and irrigation network with compensated emitters. The algorithm is based on the daily work matrix that is updated daily by considering water and energy balances. The algorithm determines an irrigation priority for the sectors of irrigation of the farm based on programmed irrigation time and water deficits in the soil and synchronises the energy produced with the energy requirement of the hydraulic system according to the priority set for each day, obtaining the combinations of irrigation sectors appropriate to the photovoltaic power available. It takes into account the increment/decrease in the pressure of the water distribution network in response to increases/decreases in photovoltaic energy by increasing/decreasing the rotational speed of the pump, thus increasing/decreasing the power transferred to the system. The application to a real case of a 10-hectare farm divided into four sectors implies an efficient use of the energy of 26.15% per year and savings in CO2 emissions of 6.29 tonnes per year

    Importance of food sensitivities and personalized diet in patients with fibromyalgia

    Fibromyalgia (FM) is a disease characterized by generalized chronic pain located in the locomotor system. Patients usually present obesity, metabolic syndrome, alterations in the microbiota and food sensitivities. The prevalence is 2.1% in the world population, affecting 2.3% of Europeans and 2.4% of Spaniards. By sex, the prevalence among men is estimated at 0.2%, compared to 4.2% in women. FM is one of the rheumatic diseases with more impact on the quality of life. Nutrition has been suggested as a relevant factor in the treatment and improvement of FM symptoms. The aim of this study was to measure mitochondrial homeostasis using several biomarkers for the diagnosis and monitoring of FM before and after the application of a personalized nutritional intervention with a rich antioxidant diet. Furthermore, we  evaluated the role of personalized nutrition as a potential treatment for patients with FM and identified new approaches for a better understanding of the disease.Motivation: Currently, a significant percentage of patients who suffer FM are not well diagnosed and face inadequate treatments. We proposed that personalized nutritional interventions can improve the symptomatology of patients and their quality of life.Methods: Fifty FM patients with clinical suspicion of food sensitivities were included in the study. Data were collected from nutritional questionnaries, the Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQ) and the ratio of mitochondrial mass and selective autophagy. Mitochondrial markers were measured pre and post nutritional interventions with the objective of evaluating if personalized diets improved clinical symptoms.Results: Rich antioxidant diets decreased radical oxygen species (ROS) levels in blood and improved significantly clinical symptoms. In addition, a balanced, personalized diet for each patient improved the ratio between mitochondrial mass and selective autophagy.Conclusions: FM patients presents several associated comorbidities such as food sensitivities which need more attention and research. The adequate consumption of antioxidants and other micronutrients is important in FM management. Therefore,  personalized antioxidant diets could be a promising approach for the improvement of clinical symptoms in FM

    Adecuación en España a las recomendaciones terapéuticas de la guía de la ESC sobre insuficiencia cardiaca: ESC Heart Failure Long-term Registry

    [Abstract] Introduction and objectives. To estimate the percentage of heart failure patients in Spain that received the European Society of Cardiology recommended treatments, and in those that did not, to determine the reasons why. Methods. The study included 2834 consecutive ambulatory patients with heart failure from 27 Spanish hospitals. We recorded general information, the treatment indicated, and the reasons why it was not prescribed in some cases. In patients who met the criteria to receive a certain drug, true undertreatment was defined as the percentage of patients who, without justification, did not receive the drug. Results. In total, 92.6% of ambulatory patients with low ejection fraction received angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors or angiotensin receptor blockers, 93.3% beta-blockers, and 74.5% mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists. The true undertreatment rates were 3.4%, 1.8%, and 19.0%, respectively. Target doses were reached in 16.2% of patients receiving angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, 23.3% of those with angiotensin receptor blockers, 13.2% of those prescribed beta-blockers, and 23.5% of those with mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists. Among patients who could benefit from ivabradine, 29.1% received this drug. In total, 36% of patients met the criteria for defibrillator implantation and 90% of them had received the device or were scheduled for implantation, whereas 19.6% fulfilled the criteria for resynchronization therapy and 88.0% already had or would soon have the device. In patients who met the criteria, but did not undergo device implantation, the reasons were not cost-related. Conclusions. When justified reasons for not administering heart failure drugs were taken into account, adherence to the guideline recommendations was excellent. Exclusive use of the percentage of treated patients is a poor indicator of the quality of healthcare in heart failure. Measures should be taken to improve the attainment of optimal dosing in each patient.[Resumen] Introducción y objetivos. Estimar la proporción de pacientes con insuficiencia cardiaca atendidos en España que reciben los tratamientos recomendados por la Sociedad Europea de Cardiología y razones de que no los reciban, en su caso. Métodos. Se incluyó a 2.834 pacientes ambulatorios consecutivos con insuficiencia cardiaca de 27 hospitales españoles. Se recogió información general, tratamiento indicado y causas de que no lo recibiera, en su caso. De los pacientes que cumplen criterios para recibir tratamiento, infratratamiento real es la proporción que, sin justificación, no lo recibe. Resultados. El 92,6% de los pacientes ambulatorios con fracción de eyección reducida recibieron inhibidores de la enzima de conversión de la angiotensina o antagonistas del receptor de la angiotensina II; el 93,3%, bloqueadores beta y el 74,5%, antagonistas del receptor mineralocorticoideo. El infratratamiento real es del 3,4, el 1,8 y el 19,0% respectivamente. Alcanzan dosis objetivo de inhibidores de la enzima de conversión de la angiotensina el 16,2% de los pacientes; de antagonistas de los receptores de la angiotensina II, el 23,3%; de bloqueadores beta, el 13,2% y de antagonistas del receptor mineralocorticoideo, el 23,5%. El 29,1% de los pacientes que podrían beneficiarse de ivabradina la reciben; el 36% cumple criterios para implantar desfibrilador; de ellos, el 90% lo tienen ya implantado o programado; las cifras correspondientes en resincronización son el 19,6 y el 88,0%; el porcentaje restante no se debe a causas económicas. Conclusiones. Considerando razones justificadas para no administrar fármacos a estos pacientes, el cumplimiento de las guías es excelente. Utilizar solo la proporción de pacientes tratados es un mal indicador de calidad de la asistencia en insuficiencia cardiaca. Es necesario introducir medidas que mejoren el logro de la dosis óptima para cada paciente

    Assessment of metal and organic pollutants in combination with stable isotope analysis in tunas from the Gulf of Cadiz (east Atlantic)

    Bioaccumulation patterns of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cr, Ni, Fe and Cu) and organic (priority and emerging) pollutants, in combination with stable isotope analysis (SIA), were assessed in muscle and liver of three tuna species from the Gulf of Cadiz (Atlantic bluefin tuna, Thunnus thynnus; Atlantic bonito, Sarda sarda, and skipjack tuna, Katsuwonus pelamis). SIA and contaminant (heavy metal and organic) profiles separately discriminated between species. There was no significant overlap between the trophic niches estimated from isotopic data, suggesting that there are diet differences which may determine differential bioaccumulation patterns. The levels of heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants in muscle of all the individuals analyzed were below the allowable limits established by the current legislation. Concentrations of most contaminants were higher in liver than in muscle, underlining the powerful detoxifying capacity of the liver in tunas. In addition to diet, other factors such as size and age (exposure time to environmental chemicals) explain differences in pollutant accumulation patterns in tissues between species, each with varying degrees of involvement depending on the pollutant class. Our results show that combining contaminant profile data with trophic features based on SIA may help understand pollutant bioaccumulation patterns in upper levels of marine food webs

    Integración de recursos electrónicos en las bibliotecas del Consorcio de Bibliotecas Universitarias de Andaluzas (CBUA)

    En los últimos años, el presupuesto en recursos electrónicos ha ido creciendo paulatinamente en las Bibliotecas Universitarias y como consecuencia las inversiones en este tipo de materiales han ido aumentando, convirtiéndose hoy día la Biblioteca Universitaria en una gran factoría virtual. El Consorcio de Bibliotecas Universitarias Andaluzas (CBUA) que asume entre sus políticas el desarrollo de proyectos para la mejora de la calidad de los servicios a través de la cooperación, consciente de esta situación, acomete el plan de dotar a las Bibliotecas del Consorcio de tecnologías centradas en el usuario, para hacer más accesibles las colecciones de recursos electrónicos y poder competir en la Europa del conocimiento con parámetros de calidad. Se presenta el proyecto que está llevando a cabo el Grupo de Trabajo de MAP y ERM del CBUA, de implementación y puesta en marcha de herramientas, para el acceso, integración y gestión de los recursos electrónicos en las Bibliotecas Universitarias Andaluzas, para un mejor uso de las colecciones digitales contratadas, que redundará en la calidad y mejora de los servicios prestados. Se enumeran las fases del proyecto, los objetivos operativos, las líneas de acción, las acciones realizadas, la documentación generada, la difusión y formación en las nuevas herramientas y la repercusión que está teniendo en las Bibliotecas del CBU

    Analysis of the October 2014 subtropical cyclone using the WRF and the HARMONIE-AROME numerical models: Assessment against observations

    Subtropical cyclones (STCs) are low-pressure systems characterized by having a thermal hybrid structure and sharing tropical and extratropical characteristics. These cyclones are widely studied due to their harmful impacts, in some cases, similar to those caused by hurricanes or tropical storms. From a numerical modeling point of view, they are considered a challenge on account of their rapid intensification. That is the reason why this paper analyzes the simulations of the STC that occurred in October 2014 near the Canary Islands through two highresolution numerical models: Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) and HARMONIE-AROME. In this study, the simulations obtained with both models of this STC are analyzed versus different observational data. METAR data are used to validate some surface simulated variables throughout the STC life while soundings are chosen to study the tropospheric behavior. Finally, MSG-SEVIRI satellite brightness temperature is used to be compared to those brightness temperatures simulated by both models to give information of the cloud top spatial structure of this atmospheric system. The 2 m temperature, 2 m dew-point temperature, and 10 m wind speed variables do not show significant deviations when carrying out the validation of both models against the available METAR data. It is outstanding the good results found for the HARMONIE-AROME model when analyzing the temperature sounding for both analyzed dates. Additionally, regarding the wind speed sounding, better results are presented in general by the HARMONIE-AROME model, being the WRF model slightly better during the pre-STC stage.     A Comparative Study of Cell Culture Conditions during Conversion from Primed to Naive Human Pluripotent Stem Cells

    The successful reprogramming of human somatic cells into induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) represented a turning point in the stem cell research field, owing to their ability to differentiate into any cell type with fewer ethical issues than human embryonic stem cells (hESCs). In mice, PSCs are thought to exist in a naive state, the cell culture equivalent of the immature pre-implantation embryo, whereas in humans, PSCs are in a primed state, which is a more committed pluripotent state than a naive state. Recent studies have focused on capturing a similar cell stage in human cells. Given their earlier developmental stage and therefore lack of cell-of-origin epigenetic memory, these cells would be better candidates for further re-differentiation, use in disease modeling, regenerative medicine and drug discovery. In this study, we used primed hiPSCs and hESCs to evaluate the successful establishment and maintenance of a naive cell stage using three different naive-conversion media, both in the feeder and feeder-free cells conditions. In addition, we compared the directed differentiation capacity of primed and naive cells into the three germ layers and characterized these different cell stages with commonly used pluripotent and lineage-specific markers. Our results show that, in general, naive culture NHSM medium (in both feeder and feeder-free systems) confers greater hiPSCs and hESCs viability and the highest naive pluripotency markers expression.
