The aim of this thesis is the correct setting, implementation and measurement parameter pursuing efficient use of production lines at Wendell electronics a.s. The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The first part describes the theoretical basis underlying the analysis and calculations in the practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the basic characteristics of operational management and its specific components related to the examined parameter OEE, which is part of the TPM. The practical part firstly describes general information about the company and its business. It also discusses the correct setting and calculation of OEE, and proposals to optimize and improve the efficiency of production facilitie

Profile Characteristics of Individuals Eligible for the Air Traffic Controller Training

    Get PDF
The article deals with the realization of the hypothesis that individuals eligible for the Air Traffic Controller training have a common specific profile, which is a function of the characteristics of individuals engaged in this profession. Defining such a basic profile is based on the results of the experiment realized within the doctoral thesis of the author

Measure the level of Leanness of specific company in the electronics industry

This thesis brings a view of the Leanness level of company based on ethnographic research. The combination of these two disciplines, the Lean concept and ethnography, is unique and brings new direction to research the level and approach of organizations to Lean philosophy. There is possible to assess the company in areas of value for customers, waste and continuous improvement through the research. Through the analysis, it is possible to find out where the organization has areas for improvement. The aim of the thesis is to propose the step to increase the level of Leanness of the organization. The thesis deals with the analysis and measurement of Leanness level of production and administrative processes in a manufacturing plant in the electronics industry

Selection process as a key human aspect in air traffic control

    No full text
The article deals with the characteristics of the provision of air traffic services (in member states of European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC)), as one of the main subject supporting global tourism, as well as with the selection of suitable candidates for the air traffic controller profession and the means and methods that are being used for the selection of eligible candidates. The authors present an original elaboration of approaches to selection processes in the Czech Republic in the context of the current development of European security and the perception of the human factor as a critical element of security and safety in air transport. In doing so, the authors use content analysis, as the results of empirical surveys present the results of discrete research surveys and evaluations based on explorative methods

Ontology for Transcription of ATC Speech Commands of SESAR 2020 Solution PJ.16-04

Nowadays Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) applications are increasingly successful in the air traffic (ATC) domain. Paramount to achieving this is collecting enough data for speech recognition model training. Thousands of hours of ATC communication are recorded every day. However, the transcription of these data sets is resource intense, i.e. writing down the sequence of spoken words, and more importantly, interpreting the relevant semantics. Many different approaches including CPDLC (Controller Pilot Data Link Communications) currently exist in the ATC community for command transcription, a fact that e.g. complicates exchange of transcriptions. The partners of the SESAR funded solution PJ.16-04 are currently developing on a common ontology for transcription of controller-pilot communications, which will harmonize integration of ASR into controller working positions. The resulting ontology is presented in this paper
