Nuclear astrophysics with radioactive ions at FAIR
The nucleosynthesis of elements beyond iron is dominated by neutron captures in the s and r processes. However, 32 stable, proton-rich isotopes cannot be formed during those processes, because they are shielded from the s-process flow and r-process, β-decay chains. These nuclei are attributed to the p and rp process. For all those processes, current research in nuclear astrophysics addresses the need for more precise reaction data involving radioactive isotopes. Depending on the particular reaction, direct or inverse kinematics, forward or time-reversed direction are investigated to determine or at least to constrain the desired reaction cross sections. The Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) will offer unique, unprecedented opportunities to investigate many of the important reactions. The high yield of radioactive isotopes, even far away from the valley of stability, allows the investigation of isotopes involved in processes as exotic as the r or rp processes
Determination of the selected physical and chemical properties of biodiesel CSME and evaluation of methanol neutralisation effectiveness in sewage from its production
odpowiednich RME. Jedyną dużą różnicą jest skład i udział poszczególnych kwasów tłuszczowych.
Dokonano neutralizacji surowego CSME zakwaszoną wodą, a następnie określono skład chemiczny ścieków.
Do ścieków zadano wyselekcjonowaną biocenozę przy pomocy której dokonano biologicznej neutralizacji
metanolu w ciągu 20 dni.The aim of the paper was to determine the physical and chemical properties of CSME Biodiesel
and to evaluate methanol neutralisation effectiveness in the waste water from its production. CSME Biodiesel
was produced in a purpose-built GW-10 reactor from camelina oil. The research has proven that the selected
physical and chemical properties of CSME are close to the respective properties of RME. The only difference
lies in the composition and share of individual fatty acids. Neutralisation of raw CSME with acidified water
was performed and then the chemical composition of the sewage was determined. A selected biocoenose was
applied to the sewage, aiding in the biological neutralisation of methanol, which was performed in 20 days
Determination of the selected physical and chemical properties of PME and RME biodiesel produced from waste oils and evaluation of methanol neutralisation effectiveness in sewage from their production
Celem pracy było określenie własności fizyko-chemicznych Biodiesli PME i RME uzyskanych
z zużytych olejów palmowego (frytury) i rzepakowego oraz skuteczności neutralizacji ścieków po ich
produkcji. Biodiesel PME wyprodukowano z oleju palmowego na którym były smażone frytki, natomiast
RME z oleju rzepakowego na którym były smażone ryby. Z badań wynika, że wybrane własności fizykochemiczne
PME są zbliżone do odpowiednich RME. Jedyną dużą różnicą jest skład i udział poszczególnych
kwasów tłuszczowych. Dokonano neutralizacji PME i RME zakwaszoną wodą, a następnie określono skład
chemiczny ścieków. Przy pomocy wyspecjalizowanej biocenozy określono skuteczność neutralizacji metanolu
zawartego w ściekach po produkcji Biodiesli. The aim of the paper was to determine the physical and chemical properties of PME and RME
Biodiesel derived from palm and rape seed oil waste, respectively, and to determine the effectiveness of the
neutralisation of sewage from their production. PME Biodiesel was produced from palm oil used for frying
French fries, and RME was produced from oil used for frying fish. The research has proven that the selected
physical and chemical properties of PME are close to the respective properties of RME. The only difference
lies in the composition and share of individual fatty acids. Neutralisation of raw PME and RME with acidified
water was performed and then the chemical composition of the sewage was determined. The effectiveness
of the neutralisation of methanol remaining in the sewage after the production of Biodiesel was determined
