Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the influences of different factors on green innovation in Vietnamese construction enterprises.   Theoretical framework: The theoretical framework is built upon the resource-based view, the model of organizational innovation, and stakeholder theory.   Design/methodology/approach: The research carries out a literature survey related to construction enterprises, then empirical analysis is conducted among 450 employees and managers at all level working in this field with the results analyzed using Cronbach’s Alpha analysis, exploratory factor analysis, pearson correlation analysis, linear regression analysis and One - way ANOVA analysis.   Findings: The results demonstrate that using renewable energy is well represented for green innovation in the Vietnamese construction industry and quantitative results also show positive impacts of all factors studied on green innovation: Green dynamic capabilities, Green creativity, Green knowledge sharing, Corporate environmental ethics, Pressure from industry competitors and regulators. In addition, the result affirmed there are statistically significant differences in the level of green innovation between construction enterprises of size and age, but not types of firm.   Research, Practical & Social implications: The study proposes solutions for both enterprises and regulators – one of the external stakeholders to develop green innovation in the construction sector.

In machining processes, grinding is often chosen as the final machining method. Grinding is often chosen as the final machining method. This process has many advantages such as high precision and low surface roughness. It depends on many parameters including grinding parameters, dressing parameters and lubrication conditions. In grinding, the surface roughness of a workpiece has a significant influence on quality of the part. This paper presents a study of the grinding surface roughness predictions of workpieces. Based on the previous studies, the study built a relationship between the abrasive grain tip radius and the Standard marking systems of the grinding wheel for conventional and superabrasive grinding wheels (diamond and CBN abrasive). Based on this, the grinding surface roughness was predicted. The proposed model was verified by comparing the predicted and experimental results. Appling the research results, the surface roughness when grinding three types of steel D3, A295M and SAE 420 with Al2O3 and CBN grinding wheels were predicted. The predicted surface roughness values were close to the experimental values, the average deviation between predictive results and experimental results is 15.11 % for the use of Al2O3 grinding wheels and 24.29 % for the case of using CBN grinding wheels. The results of the comparison between the predicted model and the experiment show that the method of surface roughness presented in this study can be used to predict surface roughness in each specific case. The proposed model was verified by comparing the predicted and measured results of surface hardness. This model can be used to predict the surface hardness when surface grindin

In recent years, secondhand clothes have become a fashion trend that is enthusiastically supported by Vietnamese youth thanks to their fashionability and environmental friendliness. A series of second-hand shops, warehouses, and consignment events have sprung up in parallel with second-hand markets that have existed for many years, still attracting many visitors. In order to examine the trend of secondhand clothing consumption among young Vietnamese, the research team conducted this study. Through the results of the study, it can be seen that the main personal factors leading to the use of secondhand clothes by the survey subjects are spending savings and personal preferences. Most of the decisions to buy secondhand clothes are influenced by the uniqueness of the product and by friends and relatives. The most enabling aspect when using secondhand clothes is the product quality and the product's design, while the aspects that are the most concerns by both users and non-users of secondhand clothes are a matter of hygiene and health

In the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution with unlimited technological advancement and innovation, how can educators innovate their teaching and facilitate their students in their learning process, so that students can accumulate required skills and achieve the set learning outcomes of each course they take? In order to find out the answer, the authors have revised some literature concerning BYOD trend, active learning strategies, flipped classroom and learner-generated content as the theoretical base for their study. Action research has been conducted at a Vietnamese university with the participation of English-majored students in Theory of English Translation and Interpreting classes from 3 different intakes. The findings include students’ positive perception towards the content-generation practices. Some achievements and challenges in the teaching and learning process have also been reported. This paper also recommends further studies so that the practice could be utilized to the best outcomes. Sustainability assessment of coastal ecosystems: DPSIR analysis for beaches at the Northeast Coast of Vietnam

The Northeastern coastal zone of Vietnam possesses high biodiversity and rich ecosystems like coral reefs, seagrasses, beaches and mangroves. It also includes the Ha Long Bay Natural Heritage site (UNESCO 1994) and the Cat Ba Biosphere Reserve (MAB/UNESCO 2004) as well as hosts the Economic Development Triangle (Hai Phong-Ha Noi-Quang Ninh) established by the Government of Vietnam. As one of the coastal ecosystems, sandy beach ecosystems attracted more attention during recent decades because of their essential role for human welfare and in environmental protection. A few studies concentrated on sustainable management of sandy beach based on environmental and ecological protection and enhance the beach quality for recreational use. The DPSIR (Driving force Pressure State Impact Response) framework describes the logical interaction among systems and finds out the cause and consequence of social-economic development activities to the environment and resources. In this study, the DPSIR was applied on the sandy beaches in the Northeastern coast of Vietnam to reveal the main environmental problems on sandy beaches including the decline of the natural landscape around the beaches and the degradation of the environment. It also pointed out that tourism development in association with urbanization and sea reclamation is the main driving forces for environmental degradation of the sandy beaches. Therefore, local authorities of Hai Phong and Quang Ninh should take into account several main responses to policies on inter-province coordination and managerial measures with a wider scope, which integrate socio-economic and physical factors, proximity, accessibility, and neighborhood to manage healthy coastal ecosystems and sandy beaches in particular. An integrated coastal management program for the Northeastern coast of Vietnam needs to be developed and carried out to follow the laws of Vietnam as well as to meet local urgent requirements
