Professional certification as a teaching tool in Computer Science Degree at the Higher Polytechnic School of Cordoba

Existen múltiples empresas que emiten certificaciones de competencias profesionales dentro del ámbito de las Ingenierías. Estas certificaciones están siendo muy demandadas por las empresas empleadoras ya que permiten demostrar la cualificación de los solicitantes desde un punto de vista teórico y práctico muy exigente. Esto ha llevado a que muchos alumnos y egresados hayan tomado cursos de preparación para los exámenes de certificación. Una de las más relevantes es CISCO, que realiza certificaciones de competencias de Redes de Computadores. Un grupo de profesores de la EPSC de la Universidad de Córdoba ha planteado adaptar los contenidos de diversas asignaturas de la Titulación Oficial de Grado en Ingeniería Informática para que el alumnado cubra todos los requisitos formativos (tanto teóricos como prácticos) exigidos por la empresa CISCO para las diversas certificaciones en materia de Redes de Comunicación entre Ordenadores. Además, esta adaptación debe hacerse sin alterar el documento Verifica, aprobado por la Agencia Nacional de Acreditación y Evaluación (ANECA).There are a lot of enterprises which provide certifications of knowledge and skills in professional competences within the Engineering field. These certifications are highly demanded by employers, because they demonstrate the qualification of the applicants from a very demanding theoretical and practical point of view. Thus, a lot of students and graduates have enrolled in training courses for the certification exams. One of the most important corporations is CISCO, which provides certifications in the field of Computer Networking. A group of professors from the Higher Polytechnic School of Cordoba from the University of Cordoba (Spain) has adapted the contents of several subjects of the Computer Science Degree, in order to cover all the educational requirements required by CISCO for the Computer Networking field. Besides, this adaptation has to be taken without any modification in the VERIFICA document, approved by the Spanish National Certification and Evaluation Agency (ANECA)

Uncertainty sources in the estimation of the partial discharge inception voltage in turn-to-turn insulation systems

Partial discharges (PD) are one of the main causes of premature failure in low-voltage motors driven by variable-speed drives. The use of these control systems are being quite extended due to new applications, such as the more electric aircraft (MEA) or hybrid and electric vehicles, and this has pushed research towards appropriate designs of electric motors to avoid, as much as possible, the presence of PD within their windings. This article presents a model to predict the partial discharge inception voltage (PDIV) in the insulation of low-voltage machines. A value for the secondary ionization coefficient based on a statistical study is also proposed. The deviations of the model are also studied by obtaining the uncertainty of the value of that coeficient and the predicted values of the PDIV for a set of wires. This uncertainty will be compared with other error sources such as generator harmonics and humidity. Finally, the tests are done for different temperatures extend the model applicability

Tratando de recoger una visión global de la utilidad del concepto, en este trabajo se hace una revisión general del mismo relacionandolo con la curva de sensibilidad y la curva de influencia muestral. Además, se señalan posibles líneas de trabajo que permitiran abordar el análisis de la influencia a través de este enfoque en una gran variedad de tecnicas estadísticas

Transfer learning or design a custom CNN for tactile object recognition

International Workshop on Robotac: New Progress in Tactile Perception and Learning in RoboticsNovel tactile sensors allow treating pressure lectures as standard images due to its highresolution. Therefore, computer vision algorithms such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) can be used to identify objects in contact. In this work, a high-resolution tactile sensor has been attached to a robotic end-effector to identify objects in contact. Moreover, two CNNs-based approaches have been tested in an experiment of classification of pressure images. These methods include a transfer learning approach using a pre-trained CNN on an RGB images dataset and a custom-made CNN trained from scratch with tactile information. Crowdfunding : un fenómeno que llego para quedarse

El trabajo que a continuación se presenta, busca exponer la necesidad de regular el fenómeno de las FinTech, en especial aquellos modelos de financiación colaborativa o crowdfunding de valores, y las bondades que para el efecto tiene el marco de regulación del mercado de valores. Por lo anterior, además de analizar el marco normativo colombiano, se expone la coyuntura por la cual atraviesa este tipo de mercados en diferentes latitudes y las virtudes de adoptar un enfoque regulatorio activo y en especial un sandbox regulatorio, lo cual garantiza un adecuado balance entre la protección de los inversionistas, la justicia, eficiencia, transparencia del mercado y la reducción del riesgo sistémico, y el óptimo desarrollo de este tipo de mercados.This work seeks to expose the need to regulate the phenomenon of FinTech, especially those models of equity based crowdfunding, and the benefits that the regulatory framework of the stock market has for that purpose. Perfectionism Profiles and Anger Responses: The Relevant Role of Self-Esteem in Athletes of Professional Quarries

Perfectionism is a multidimensional personality trait characterized by effort and rigidity in setting high personal standards, accompanied by an excessive tendency toward critical assessments, which plays an important role in cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning. During adolescence, personality is built on a fundamental pillar—self-esteem—which plays an important role in sports practice when it comes to achieving the best possible performance. Anger has an emotional component that, interpreted in an unadaptive way, interferes with sports performance. The aim of this study is to assess differences according to self-esteem and perfectionism indicators and anger expression and management in young athletes. The sample included 229 male athletes to the quarries of professional sports with ages between 13 and 17 years. They were administered the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, the State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory for Children and Adolescents, the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale, and a socio-demographic questionnaire. Predictive analysis showed that low personal standards and high levels of organization (indicators of adaptive perfectionism) acted as predictors of state anger, while those showing high personal standards predicted high anger management in athletes with high self-esteem. High personal standards predicted lower indicators of trait anger in athletes with low self-esteem. The results revealed the influence of high self-esteem as a protective factor in the predictive relationship among anger traits and personal standards. The study describes the relationship of these variables in the belongings of young male footballers (under high sport pressure), showing the need to take care of the athletes’ self-esteem in sport environments through prevention programs that include psychological and social resources training systems

Three reforms later: Teaching medieval history in Secondary Education in 21st century Canary Islands

En este trabajo se presta atención a un problema muy concreto, el de la enseñanza de la Historia Medieval en el contexto de cambios que ha conocido la Enseñanza Secundaria a lo largo de las últimas décadas, con especial atención a los matices que se han incorporado a esta disciplina en el currículum de las Ciencias Sociales que se aplica en las islas Canarias a partir de los libros de texto y las leyes que en el archipiélago regulan tales enseñanzas.This work pays attention to a very concrete concern, that regarding the teaching of Medieval History in secondary schools throughout the last decades. Trabajo Social y alcohol: Estudio comparativo del modelo francés y español

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado surge a raíz de la necesidad de analizar el modelo de atención, actuación y prevención frente a la dependencia alcohólica, para considerar si se debe realizar una adaptación adecuada a los cambios que se están produciendo. Se ha desarrollado en las ciudades de Zaragoza y Reims a través de los aprendizajes adquiridos durante las prácticas realizadas el primer cuatrimestre de este curso 2012/2013 en la Fundación Doctor Valero Martínez, y también de la información recopilada en Reims, ciudad al norte de Francia que destaca por situarse en la región productora del champán (Champagne-Ardenne) donde cohabitan casi 80 bodegas de este vino blanco espumoso. Ingeniería Basada en Modelos en Prácticas de Robótica

La principal característica de los enfoques es que se prescinde de la fase de programación, por lo que se puede pasar del diseño a la implementación de manera autom´atica permitiendo dedicar más tiempo a los objetivos del aprendizaje. Para determinar la eficiencia de estas herramientas se ha utilizado una plataforma robótica móvil y se han realizado experimentos con alumnos utilizando Simulink con generación de código de Arduino y se han medido los resultados de manera subjetiva y objetiva.Universidad de Málaga.
