    [EN] The hereby article describes the intervention on a brick house of the early XX century, located in a traditional vacational town in a region full of pinewoods. It consists of a simple volume of rectangular layout plan and two floors, with a sober composition that refers us to the railway architecture that was made in the area in the late XIX century.Over the years, the changes in the ownership of the estate plus a great deal of add-ons out of the composition of the main building have altered its slender volumetry and its outside setup. The project gives special care to the recovering of the original construction,setting it free of the auxiliary buildings, and the accommodation to the needs of the new dwellers. Thus, demanding the enlargement that would allow, through a formal abstraction and the use of rough concrete, to emphasize the presence of the former building.[ES] El presente artículo describe la Intervención en una casa de ladrillo construida a principios del siglo XX, situada en una población de tradición vacacional de una comarca de pinares. Se trata de un volumen sencillo de planta rectangular y dos alturas, con una sobria composición que nos remite a la arquitectura ferroviaria realizada en la zona a finales del siglo XIX. A lo largo de los años, el cambio de propiedad de la finca, así como los numerosos añadidos ajenos a la composición del edificio principal, han alterado su volumetría esbelta y su configuración exterior. El proyecto prioriza la recuperación de la construcción original liberándola de las edificaciones auxiliares y su adaptación a las necesidades de sus nuevos habitantes, lo que exige una ampliación que procura, mediante la abstracción formal y el uso del hormigón visto, enfatizar la presencia de la antigua construcción.Martinez Rodriguez, J.     Achieving Identity-based cryptography in a personal digital assistant

    Continuous technological advances have allowed that mobile devices, such as Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), can execute sophisticated applications that more often than not must be equipped with a layer of security that should include the confidentiality and the authentication services within its repertory. Nevertheless, when compared against front-end computing devices, most PDAs are still seen as constrained devices with limited processing and storage capabilities. In order to achieve Identity-Based Cryptography (IBC), which was an open problem proposed by Adi Shamir in 1984, Boneh and Franklin presented in Crypto 2001, a solution that uses bilinear pairings as its main building block. Since then, IBC has become an active area of investigation where many efficient IBC security protocols are proposed year after year. In this paper, we present a cryptographic application that allows the secure exchange of documents from a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) that is wirelessly connected to other nodes. The architecture of our application is inspired by the traditional PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) email security protocol. Our application achieves identity-based authentication and confidentiality functionalities at the 80-bit security level through the usage of a cryptographic library that was coded in C++. Our library can perform basic primitives such as bilinear pairings defined over the binary field and the ternary field , as well as other required primitives known as map-to-point hash functions. We report the timings achieved by our application and we show that they compare well against other similar works published in the open literature

    3D high definition video coding on a GPU-based heterogeneous system

    H.264/MVC is a standard for supporting the sensation of 3D, based on coding from 2 (stereo) to N views. H.264/MVC adopts many coding options inherited from single view H.264/AVC, and thus its complexity is even higher, mainly because the number of processing views is higher. In this manuscript, we aim at an efficient parallelization of the most computationally intensive video encoding module for stereo sequences. In particular, inter prediction and its collaborative execution on a heterogeneous platform. The proposal is based on an efficient dynamic load balancing algorithm and on breaking encoding dependencies. Experimental results demonstrate the proposed algorithm's ability to reduce the encoding time for different stereo high definition sequences. Speed-up values of up to 90× were obtained when compared with the reference encoder on the same platform. Moreover, the proposed algorithm also provides a more energy-efficient approach and hence requires less energy than the sequential reference algorith

Esperamos que el lector logre apreciar las debilidades que hoy presenta el mercado de las aguas en Chile y el escaso estudio por parte de los juristas y economistas a nivel nacional, que hace que tengamos una ley deficiente en cuanto a la asignación del vital elemento
