Este artigo tem como objetivos descrever os processos de desenvolvimento conceitual e metodológico utilizados na criação do instrumento Ferrans and Powers Quality of Life Index (QLI) e disponibilizar a versão genérica atual adaptada para o português, visando ampliar a disseminação do seu uso em diferentes contextos e amostras da população brasileira. O QLI avalia a qualidade de vida de acordo com os níveis de satisfação e de importância atribuídos a quatro dimensões: Saúde/funcionamento, Psicológico/espiritual, Socioeconômico e Família. Aplicações prévias da versão em português (Índice de Qualidade de Vida de Ferrans e Powers) têm demonstrado que o instrumento pode ser utilizado em nosso meio como uma medida válida e confiável de qualidade de vida.This article aims to describe the processes of conceptual and methodological development used for the creation of the Ferrans and Powers Quality of Life Index (QLI), and to make available the current generic version adapted to the Portuguese language, expecting to enlarge its application in different contexts and samples of the Brazilian population. QLI is an instrument designed to evaluate quality of life based on the levels of satisfaction and importance in four dimensions: Health/functioning, Psychological/spiritual, Socioeconomic and Family. Significados de cuidados paliativos emergentes do cuidador formal no contexto da bioética

Este estudo teve como objetivos conhecer os Significados de Cuidados Paliativos emergentes de Cuidadores Formais que atuam em Cuidados Paliativos domiciliar na cidade de Pouso Alegre / Minas Gerais e Identificar as Características Pessoais, Familiares e Profissionais dos Cuidadores Formais. A abordagem foi qualitativa do tipo descritivo, exploratória e transversal com entrevistas aplicadas aos vinte Cuidadores Formais e de ambos os sexos. Na amostragem foi utilizados três métodos: Bola de Neve (snowball sampling), conveniência e intencional para localizar os cuidadores. Foram utilizados os instrumentos: Caracterização Pessoal e Profissional e Roteiro de Entrevista Semi-Estruturada que foi formado por uma pergunta aberta sobre os “Significados de Cuidados Paliativos” que foi gravada

A legitimação extraordinária de origem negocial no processo civil brasileiro

O presente trabalho analisa a legitimação extraordinária de origem negocial no processo civil brasileiro. Para tanto, em sua primeira parte, situam-se os conceitos de legitimidade extraordinária e de negócio jurídico processual. Além disso, abordam-se as alterações, trazidas pelo Código de Processo Civil de 2015, para a fonte normativa do primeiro, no artigo 18, e a atipicidade do segundo, no artigo 190. A partir dessa conceituação, na segunda parte, define-se, atinente à convenção processual acerca da legitimidade das partes: sobre a possibilidade de sua aplicação, por meio de uma leitura lógica e sistêmica dos artigos supramencionados; seus limites, respeitando os institutos que o integram e os princípios inerentes ao processo civil; e particularidades de sua prática, ao arrazoar casos especiais suscitados pela literatura da área e pela jurisprudência.Le présent travail analyse la légitimation extraordinaire provenant du négoce dans le processus civil brésilien. Pour cela, nous présenterons dans un premier temps, les concepts de légitimité extraordinaire et d’affaires juridiques procédurales. Nous aborderons également les modifications apportées par le Code de Procédure Civile de 2015 à la source normative de ce premier concept, dans l'article 18, et le caractère atypique du second concept, dans l'article 190. A partir de cette conceptualisation, nous identifierons dans un deuxième temps, en ce qui concerne la convention de procédure sur la légitimité des parties : la possibilité de son application, à travers une lecture logique et systémique des articles susmentionnés ; ses limites, dans le respect des instituts qui l’intègrent et des principes inhérents aux procédures civiles ; et les particularités de sa pratique, en raisonnant sur des cas particuliers soulevés par la littérature dans ce domaine et par la jurisprudence

Utilização dos eurocódigos na construção metálica

Os Eurocódigos estruturais são um conjunto de normas técnicas que têm como objectivo abranger o projecto e verificação de qualquer tipo de construção para os países membros da União Europeia. O objectivo deste trabalho é sistematizar todos os procedimentos que estão presentes nos Eurocódigos e que são aplicáveis, de uma forma geral, à construção metálica. Foi feito o desenvolvimento de uma solução estrutural para o caso concreto de uma estrutura metálica de uma ponte rolante com o objectivo de se fazer o levantamento dos normativos estabelecidos para o projecto de estruturas metálicas. Este trabalho foi desenvolvido considerando fundamentalmente três Eurocódigos. O Eurocódigo 0 que estabelece o princípio e bases para o projecto de estruturas, o Eurocódigo 1 que define as acções em estruturas e o Eurocódigo 3 que estabelece as regras gerais, de verificação ao fogo, de projecto de ligações e de verificação à fadiga. O trabalho desenvolvido consistiu em projectar a estrutura metálica da ponte rolante considerada e para tal foram feitos os seguintes passos. - Determinação das acções na estrutura e das situações de projecto; - Projecto da estrutura considerando a verificação de cedência ou deformação excessiva dos seus elementos; - Projecto da estrutura considerando a perda de equilíbrio estático da estrutura; - Projecto da estrutura considerando a verificação da sua resistência ao fogo; - Projecto das ligações aparafusadas; - Verificação da resistência à fadiga.The structural Eurocodes are a set of technical standards that are intended to cover the design and verification of any type of building for member countries of the European Union. The aim of this work is to systematize all the procedures that are present in the Eurocodes, which apply, in general, the metal construction. It was made to develop a structural solution to the case of a steel structure of a crane in order to take stock of the established norms for the design of steel structures. This work was developed considering three basic Eurocodes. The Eurocode 0 establishing the principle and basis for structural design, Eurocode 1 that define the actions on structures and Eurocode3 laying down general rules, the verification the resistance of fire, the design of connections and fatigue verification resistance. The work consisted in designing the metal frame of the crane that were considered and made the following steps. - Determination of the shares in the structure and design situations; - Design verification considering the structure damping or excessive deformation of its elements; - Design of the structure considering the loss of static equilibrium of the structure; - Design verification considering the structure of its fire resistance; - Design of bolted connections; - Verification of the resistance to fatigue

Some propositions about including students with disabilities in chemistry teaching / Algumas proposições sobre a inclusão no ensino de química

In this article, we present the results of a Scientific Initiation research with high school students (this is called Pibic-Jr, in Brazil) that shows and discusses the panorama of scientific productions about the use of educational software in chemistry teaching, focused on inclusion of students with disabilities. The bibliographical research was conducted between 2007 and 2017 in the Química Nova na Escola Journal, a free Brazilian magazine [for readers], with reports and research from the area of Chemistry Teaching and, generally, present in undergraduate courses in Chemistry and Natural Sciences. The obtained results were organized in tables for our discussion. Many of the materials produced have been effective in the educational process, especially in chemistry teaching. The timeless character in design of graphic brands - redesign case study of the project "TAMAR"

O mercado atual de marcas gráficas tem passado por grandes atualizações nas linguagem a cerca do redesign de grandes marcas, para torna-las mais modernas e duradouras. Porem as mudanças por sua vez são sempre simples e pontuais para que não se perca a identidade já desenvolvida e criada pelo tempo de uso da marca. Neste caso o caráter atemporal se torna importante para o novo desenvolvimento fazendo com que as características dessas linguagens visuais se mantenham e continuem perdurando os adjetivos e mensagens visuais que elas passam. O presente estudo busca um exemplo de como realizar este redesign mantendo a atemporalidade, utilizando de parâmetros do caráter atemporal da marca e fazendo com que ela continue com seus atributos nas futuras aplicações, para este objetivo foi utilizado a marca do projeto “Tamar”. Obtendo um resultado que mantem os caráter atemporal no caso, sendo que este estudo resultou em uma marca gráfica ficticia e sem uso comercial.ABSTRACT: The current market for graphic brands has undergone major updates in language around the redesign of major brands, to make them more modern and durable. But the changes in turn are always simple and punctual so that the identity already developed and created by the time of use of the mark is not lost. In this case, the timeless character becomes important for the new development, causing the characteristics of these visual languages to remain and connue to endure the adjectives and visual messages that they pass. Design of a carbon capture system for oxy-fuel combustion in compression ignition engines with exhaust water recirculation

[EN] The oxy-fuel combustion engine concept with onboard oxygen generation and carbon capture (CC) is studied using as a starting point a baseline oxy-fuel combustion layout coupled to a mixed ionic-electronic conducting membranes for producing oxygen (O2) from the air. A CC system is designed accounting for the flash-out temperatures and the operating pressure of the last CO2 purification step. The proposed engine concept is optimized through the product of useful effective efficiency and engine brake power,which is maximized actuating on the start of injection (SOI) for every assessed gas path layouts. The additional cooling power required by the carbon capture system (CC) is also contemplated . Initially, two approaches are compared when the CC is coupled to the O2 generation unit, including or not an intake cooler. The use of intake cooler yields better engine performance than removing it but increases the cooling power requirements significantly. The extreme results from using or not the intake cooler, indicates that a proper solution could combine both cases, approaching for a different cooling concept. A mixer model is developed to recirculate part of the water condensed in the CC towards the cylinder inlet to lower the intake gas temperature and increase the oxidizer heat capacity ratio. From this layout, an optimum setup for SOI and recirculated water mass flow is found considering the trade-off between additional cooling power and engine performance. Indeed, this case reduces the total ICE additional cooling power required by the exclusive use of an intake cooler by about 27% and improves the engine performance by about 20% in comparison to the lack of intake cooling of the charge flow.This work has been partially supported by Grant PID2021-123351OB-I00 funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and, as appropriate, by "ERDF A way of making Europe". Adaptação cultural e validação do freiburg life quality assessmentwound para a língua portuguesa do Brasil

To adapt the Freiburg Life Quality Assessment - Wound Module to Brazilian Portuguese and to measure its psychometric properties: reliability and validity. Method: the cultural adaptation was undertaken following the stages of translation, synthesis of the translations, back translation, committee of specialists, pre-test and focus group. A total of 200 patients participated in the study. These were recruited in Primary Care Centers, Family Health Strategy Centers, in a philanthropic hospital and in a teaching hospital. Reliability was assessed through internal consistency and stability. Validity was ascertained through the correlation of the instrument's values with those of the domains of the Ferrans and Powers Quality of Life Index - Wound Version and with the quality of life score of the visual analog scale. Results: the instrument presented adequate internal consistency (Cronbach alpha =0.86) and high stability in the test and retest (0.93). The validity presented correlations of moderate and significant magnitude (-0.24 to -0.48, p<0.0001). Conclusion: the results indicated that the adapted version presented reliable and valid psychometric measurements for the population with chronic wounds in the Brazilian culture24Adaptar o Freiburg Life Quality Assessment-Wound para a língua portuguesa do Brasil e mensurar suas propriedades psicométricas: confiabilidade e validade. Participaram do estudo 200 pacientes com feridas crônicas, recrutados em Unidades Básicas de Saúde, Estratégia da Saúde da Família e um hospital filantrópico e universitário. A confiabilidade foi avaliada pela consistência interna e a estabilidade. A validade foi verificada por meio da correlação dos valores do instrumento com os dos domínios do Índice de Qualidade de Vida Ferrans e Powers−Versão Feridas e com a pontuação de qualidade de vida da escala visual analógica. Resultados: o instrumento apresentou consitência interna adequada (alfa de Cronbach=0,86) e estabilidade no teste e reteste elevada (0,93). A validade apresentou correlações de moderada magnitude e significativas (-0,24 a -0,48, p<0,0001). Conclusão: os resultados indicaram que a versão adaptada apresentou medidas psicométricas confiáveis e válidas para a população com feridas crônicas, na cultura brasileir
