    Status Resistensi Vektor Filariasis terhadap Insektisida Bendiocarb Asal Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya

    The aim of this study is to know resistance status of filariasis vectors from Southwest Sumba to bendiocarb 0,1% insecticide. Sampling was carried out in 4 sub-districts from 11 sub-districts. The larvae were collected randomly from water containers. The collected larvae was than taken to laboratory to be maintaned until became fully grown mosquitos. As many as 25 adult mosquitos that have been took were identified to ascertain the type of mosquito suspected to be a filariasis vectors. Test of resistance to bendiocarb 0,1% was done using impregnated paper refers to the WHO method. In this test the sample was divided into two groups, namely the test group and the control group with each sample group used was 25 mosquito. The test results were obtained by counting the number of mosquitoes that knock down mosquitoes and dead mosquitoes. The test observations were recorded every 15 minutes on the first 1 hour then the observation continued for 24 post holding. The result shows that filariasis vectors from Southwest Sumba is resisten to bendiocarb 0,1% insecticide with the average percentage of deaths mosquitos of 70,27%

    The realisation of voicing assimilation rules in Hungarian spontaneous and read speech: Case studies

    Hungarian represents a particularly fruitful ground for exploring voicing assimilation. Although this topic has been extensively analysed, a contradiction can be observed between most phonological descriptions and acoustic-phonetics-based studies of voicing assimilation. Theoretical works suggest that this process in Hungarian speech is a purely regressive, obligatory and categorical phenomenon, but in practice divergent realisations can be observed. In the present paper three case studies of voicing assimilation are performed. CCC clusters, CC clusters interrupted by pause and partially voiced realisations were analysed. The results showed that in the first two cases the speech planning process and the degree of self-monitoring were the most influential factors, while the various concomitances of voicing and devoicing arising due to aerodynamic and articulatory reasons resulted in partially voiced realisations. The variability of the data confirms the hypothesis that Hungarian voicing assimilation is a gradient and sometimes only partly regressive process. Even if it operates mainly obligatorily, several factors can override it

    Catalytic cracking performance of alkaline-treated zeolite Beta in the terms of acid sites properties and their accessibility

    The zeolite Beta is considered as a promising additive for FCC catalyst in diesel oil production. In this article, it is shown that hierarchical zeolite Beta obtained by an optimized desilication procedure increases diesel and propylene yields during gas oil cracking reaction. The alkaline treatment of zeolite Beta (Si/Al = 22) by desilication with NaOH and NaOH&TBAOH was investigated. The catalytic performance improvement of desilicated zeolite Beta has been rationalized by deep characterization of the samples including X-ray diffraction, low-temperature adsorption of nitrogen, solid-state 29Si MAS NMR and IR studies of acidity. Finally, the catalytic performance of the zeolites Beta was evaluated in the cracking of n-decane, 1,3,5-tri-iso-propylbenzene, and vacuum gas oil.
