Distribution and density of the partition function zeros for the diamond-decorated Ising model
Exact renormalization map of temperature between two successive decorated
lattices is given, and the distribution of the partition function zeros in the
complex temperature plane is obtained for any decoration-level. The rule
governing the variation of the distribution pattern as the decoration-level
changes is given. The densities of the zeros for the first two
decoration-levels are calculated explicitly, and the qualitative features about
the densities of higher decoration-levels are given by conjecture. The Julia
set associated with the renormalization map is contained in the distribution of
the zeros in the limit of infinite decoration level, and the formation of the
Julia set in the course of increasing the decoration-level is given in terms of

The generalized parton distributions of the nucleon in the NJL model based on the Faddeev approach
We study the generalized parton distributions, including the helicity-flip
ones, using Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model based on a relativistic Faddeev approach
with `static approximation'. Sum rules relating the generalized parton
distributions to nucleon electromagnetic form factors are satisfied. Moreover,
quark-antiquark contributions in the region are non-vanishing. Our
results are qualitatively similar to those calculated with Radyushkin's double
distribution ansatz using forward parton distribution functions calculated in

Blow up criterion for compressible nematic liquid crystal flows in dimension three
In this paper, we consider the short time strong solution to a simplified
hydrodynamic flow modeling the compressible, nematic liquid crystal materials
in dimension three. We establish a criterion for possible breakdown of such
solutions at finite time in terms of the temporal integral of both the maximum
norm of the deformation tensor of velocity gradient and the square of maximum
norm of gradient of liquid crystal director field.Comment: 22 page
The Localization of -Wave and Quantum Effective Potential of a Quasi-Free Particle with Position-Dependent Mass
The properties of the s-wave for a quasi-free particle with
position-dependent mass(PDM) have been discussed in details. Differed from the
system with constant mass in which the localization of the s-wave for the free
quantum particle around the origin only occurs in two dimensions, the
quasi-free particle with PDM can experience attractive forces in dimensions
except D=1 when its mass function satisfies some conditions. The effective mass
of a particle varying with its position can induce effective interaction which
may be attractive in some cases. The analytical expressions of the
eigenfunctions and the corresponding probability densities for the s-waves of
the two- and three-dimensional systems with a special PDM are given, and the
existences of localization around the origin for these systems are shown.Comment: 12pages, 8 figure
Dissociation cross sections of ground-state and excited charmonia with light mesons in the quark model
We present numerical results for the dissociation cross sections of
ground-state, orbitally- and radially-excited charmonia in collisions with
light mesons. Our results are derived using the nonrelativistic quark model, so
all parameters are determined by fits to the experimental meson spectrum.
Examples of dissociation into both exclusive and inclusive final states are
considered. The dissociation cross sections of several C=(+) charmonia may be
of considerable importance for the study of heavy ion collisions, since these
states are expected to be produced more copiously than the J/psi. The relative
importance of the productions of ground-state and orbitally-excited charmed
mesons in a pion-charmonium collision is demonstrated through the -dependent charmonium dissociation cross sections.Comment: 9 pages, 8 figure
Variational approach to a class of nonlinear oscillators with several limit cycles
We study limit cycles of nonlinear oscillators described by the equation
. Depending on the nonlinearity this equation
may exhibit different number of limit cycles.
We show that limit cycles correspond to relative extrema of a certain
functional. Analytical results in the limits and are
in agreement with previously known criteria. For intermediate numerical

Microwave and terahertz dielectric properties of MgTiO3–CaTiO3 ceramics
The THz dielectric properties of MgTiO3–CaTiO3 ceramics are reported. The ceramics were prepared via a solid-state reaction route and the sintering conditions were optimized to obtain ceramics with high permittivity and low loss in the terahertz frequency domain. The amount of impurities (MgTi2O5) and grain size increased with increasing sintering temperature. The dielectric properties improved with increasing density, and the best terahertz dielectric performance was obtained at 1260 °C, with a permittivity of 17.73 and loss of 3.07×10−3. Ceramics sintered above 1260 °C showed a sharp increase in loss, which is ascribed to an increase in the impurity content
Mass measurements of neutron-deficient Y, Zr, and Nb isotopes and their impact on rp and νp nucleosynthesis processes

For further details please see: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Using isochronous mass spectrometry at the experimental storage ring CSRe in Lanzhou, the masses of 82Zr and 84Nb were measured for the first time with an uncertainty of ∼10 keV, and the masses of 79Y, 81Zr, and 83Nb were re-determined with a higher precision. The latter are significantly less bound than their literature values. Our new and accurate masses remove the irregularities of the mass surface in this region of the nuclear chart. Our results do not support the predicted island of pronounced low α separation energies for neutron-deficient Mo and Tc isotopes, making the formation of Zr–Nb cycle in the rp-process unlikely. The new proton separation energy of 83Nb was determined to be 490(400) keV smaller than that in the Atomic Mass Evaluation 2012. This partly removes the overproduction of the p-nucleus 84Sr relative to the neutron-deficient molybdenum isotopes in the previous νp-process simulations.Peer reviewe
THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT PLYOMETRIC-SQUAT TRAINING ON TAEKWONDO POWER DEVELOPMENT IN THE LOWER EXTREMITY
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect on three different training methods by combining the typical plyometric training method (drop jump) and traditional weight training (112squat). The subjects were fifteen male high school athletes. The training duration for all subjects was eight weeks, and the frequency was twice a week. One Kistler force plate was used to record the power abilities of the subjects performing counter-movement jump (CMJ) and one PEAK camera (120 Hz) was also used to record the Axe-kicking movement time. Based on the results of this study, combining the vertical drop jump and horizontal drop jump with weight training could improve the maximum power and Axe-kick movement time. Therefore, it is important to consider the movement specific character when the muscular strength training of Taekwondo athletes
High Altitude test of RPCs for the ARGO-YBJ experiment
A 50 m**2 RPC carpet was operated at the YangBaJing Cosmic Ray Laboratory
(Tibet) located 4300 m a.s.l. The performance of RPCs in detecting Extensive
Air Showers was studied. Efficiency and time resolution measurements at the
pressure and temperature conditions typical of high mountain laboratories, are
