Isolated factorizations and their applications in simplicial affine semigroups

We introduce the concept of isolated factorizations of an element of a commutative monoid and study its properties. We give several bounds for the number of isolated factorizations of simplicial affine semigroups and numerical semigroups. We also generalize α\alpha-rectangular numerical semigroups to the context of simplicial affine semigroups and study their isolated factorizations. As a consequence of our results, we characterize those complete intersection simplicial affine semigroups with only one Betti minimal element in several ways. Moreover, we define Betti sorted and Betti divisible simplicial affine semigroups and characterize them in terms of gluings and their minimal presentations. Finally, we determine all the Betti divisible numerical semigroups, which turn out to be those numerical semigroups that are free for any arrangement of their minimal generators

The adherence to antipsychotics therapy is an important factor to be considered in the progress of psychiatric disorders. The lack of adherence may lead to the recrudescence of the disease, relapses, rehospitalizations, etc. Nursing plays an important role in preventing this type of exacerbations, with psychiatric assistance and with helping patients to administrate the medication. The aim of this review is to compare if the adherence to long-acting injectables (LAIs), instead of oral treatments, improves the clinical condition of the patient. For this purpose, a systematic review was conducted to provide answers to the stated objective. There were 8 articles included: 4 randomised clinical trials, 2 systematic reviews, 1 observational study and 1 meta-analysis where some variables were analysed: rehospitalizations, relapses and the lack of adherence. The comparison between LAIs and oral antipsychotics, of the variables studied, showed significant results in some of the studies, where the fluphenazine as a LAI was the most notable injectable in terms of showing lower percentages of relapses and rehospitalizations in one of them. Other studies did not show statistically significant results but all of them demonstrated more positive results for LAIs than for oral antipsychotics. In conclusion, all the studies showed results in favour of LAIs even though some of them did not achieve statistical significance. Therefore, a characteristic improvement in the patients treated with LAIs may happen, but it would not be the solution for all patients with problems of adherence

Treball Final de Grau en Mestre o Mestra d'Educació Infantil. Codi: MI1040. Curs acadèmic: 2016/2017This work end of degree aims to improve family-school relations. It is divided into four major parts: the historical evolution of the participation of families in schools in Spanish law, ther benefits of the participation of families in the school, know the situation that exists in the Center where I am doing the parent involvement practices directly in the classroom and the relazation of a range of intervention strategies. I am doing the practices in the CEIP Novenes de Calatrava in Burriana, I wanted to take advantage of it and the experiences I have lived in the second cycle of early chilhood education to carry out my dissertation in this context. I have analyzed the ecaluation of such participation by Spanish law and I have done a small study on the importance that has the participation of families in the education of their children and the benefits of this. I have detected the Little participation of the families in the classroom through my observation. I wanted to contrast this information by questionnaries to families and the tutors, with these data I have been able to reflect the Little participation of the families in the classroom. Finally I have made a proposal for intervention tin these classrooms, through activities involving families. I have seen trough a table, that the assessment made by the tutors of these activities is quite positive. But really, only a fez have carried out in their classrooms of so me of these activities.

Community-oriented Service-Learning: A university experience for preventing cannabis abuse in vulnerable adolescents and young people

Learning integrated into community action promotes a more active citizenry. More specifically, service-learning (S-L) embedded into higher education can represent a big challenge yet also an opportunity to involve the whole university community in social and community development. This paper addresses this teaching method by identifiying and reviewing the different components that define S-L, that is: civic engagement, social responsibility, civic education, partnership, and reflection. The ways in which S-L can be introduced into the curriculum are explained, through detailing experiences already carried out in the teaching of psychology. Current available data on its efficacy in university education are analyzed. The focus now turns to a university experience involving Community Psychology students across Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. During this experience, students on both programmes make their final-year projects to develop a prevention resource aimed at young people at high risk of problematic cannabis use. Ultimately, this program not only teaches students the principles of Community Psychology but also give them an opportunity to put them into practice

Each one is analyzed to obtain its control strategy, that is applied to the compensation of three-phase nonlinear loads in four-wire systems, as much concerning simulation as experimental. The obtained results are used to carry out a comparative study in which it is shown that no strategy allows to obtain balanced and sinusoidal source current for any conditions in the supply voltage. However, in this thesis, several control strategies are presented that are able to obtain different objectives from compensation in each context: constant source power, unity power factor and balanced and sinusoidal source current. Finally, in this work, a new approach of the instantaneous reactive power theory has been developed that is named tensorial and is applicable to multiphase systems

[EN] We analyzed the effects of R&D cooperation with users and the intensity/continuity of such cooperation on firms’ innovation output—whether radical or incremental. We also examined the moderating effect of firm size on these relationships. Results show that cooperation with users favours the development of both radical and incremental product innovations. In addition, we found that the higher the intensity/continuity of the relationship with users, the more likely radical innovations are to develop when compared with incremental innovations.

[EN] This study has analyzed the effect of cooperation with customers on firms’ innovation activities. This issue is particularly novel and important as customers provide information that will be very useful to generate new products and to make the innovation process more efficient. This paper makes important contributions to the literature by analyzing how the cooperation with customers affected the creation of technological knowledge and the economic returns derived from such knowledge. Results have shown that firms cooperating with customers increased investments geared toward expanding the technological knowledge base within the firm’s technological domain yet managed to reduce investments oriented to extend the frontier of technological knowledge, at least in the short term. It was also observed, that this cooperation had positive effects on firms’ economic returns derived from the sales of products new for the market allowing companies to maintain a competitive advantage over their rivals.SIWe are grateful to the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation which financed the Project ECO2009-09283 and the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness which financed the Project ECO2012-35439

Effects of user's cooperation and location on innovation activity of firms: an input-output approach

The present study analyses the profile of firms cooperating with users and estimates the effect of this cooperation on firms’ innovation activities. This issue is particular novel and important as users provide information that will be very useful for generating new products and making the innovation process more efficient. The findings confirm that cooperation with users is a tool for progress and development as it has a positive influence on both input and output of firms’ innovation process. This paper makes three important contributions to the literature. First, we analyse the effect of cooperation with users on how firms distribute their R&D expenditures (basic research, applied research and technological development) in order to make clear how this tool can affect the different strategies for generating knowledge. Second, we also study the impact of this kind of cooperation on the degree of novelty of new products, with the aim of explaining how it affects the productivity of R&D activities. Third, to estimate these effects, the study analyses these relationships and explore the role of proximity in the cooperation with users taking into account the location of this agent (domestic versus international users). Results confirm that cooperation with users increases investments in activities that generate knowledge with a specific practical objective and which are near to firms’ technological domain (applied research and technological development). Independently of user’s location, firms increase their investment in technological development to act quickly in the market and to obtain profits. The study also concludes that cooperation with users has positive effects on innovation outputs and its degree of novelty (radical versus incremental innovations). Nonetheless, these effects are different according to user’s location. Cooperation with domestic users stimulates the sales of radical innovations and cooperation with international users increase sales of incremental innovations
