In an unpublished speech delivered in 1766, Trigueros mediates in the well - known ‘quarrel of the Ancients and the Moderns'. On the subject of the appropriateness of the rhyme, the scholar proves to be abreast of European poetry and literary ideas, reveal s the poem Cantar de Mío Cid for the first time and, from the nationalist approaches of the period, offers proposals which supersede the versification legacy of the Spanish Golden Age. His theories, implemented in his ‘philosophical’ poetry, pair him with authors such as A. Pope.

This paper proposes a new interpretation of Góngora’s verse in Polifemo, based on the internal logic of the story, the spatial configuration of the scene, the relationship between the verses, Góngora’s extraordinary expressive precision and his plastic intention. The recent critique has shown a preference for the variant seguir to the detriment of segur. However, this study aims to confirm the accuracy of the latter: a frightened Galatea is “a los verdes márgenes ingrata” [to the green banks ungrateful] because she hides in the stream, behind the most submerged myrtle, and in doing so she becomes segur [axe] of herself, of her white legs, her lilies, broken by the water line: a “painting” of great visual power that alludes to Titian’s Venus Anadyomene.

The Favonio’s Curtains and the Love Hunt of Acis (Góngora, Polifemo, XXVII, 213-216)

However, to account for its rigid structure discloses the significance of places. ‘Reluctant’ to any interpretative ambiguity though they may seem, these places are, on the contrary, featured by it. A case in point is the second half of verse XXVII, traditionally related to Galatea. If attention is paid to the loving strategy carried out by Acis, its reading not only shows Gongora’s extraordinary accuracy but it also notably enriches the meaning of the scene when seduction takes place. That is to say, beside the traditional topic of the battle of love ‘love hunt’ can also be found. Favonio, the wind, the hunter’s accomplice, indirectly expresses the hiding ploy, in any case needed in the sequence but non-existent in previous interpretations of the scene

Still far from personal learning: Key aspects and emergent topics about how future professionals' PLEs are

The CAPPLE project is an exploratory research project that aims to analyse the PLEs of future Spanish professionals. An ad-hoc survey about their habits for learning was conducted using a sample of 2054 university students from the last year of a degree. After data collection, two main processes were carried out: (1) the analysis of some of the aspects learnt through the data collection; and (2) a series of focus groups in parallel, centered on the exploration of data to obtain some first conclusions with a descriptive analysis. The results of these processes showed firstly, that although the survey size is important, there are other factors to consider, such as the difficulty and constant engagement of questions, which that  seriously affected the rate of survey completion. Additionally, data show that future professionals prefer to use analogical tools to complete their learning tasks although they like being connected to social networks in their social lives. They do not have many strategies to organize their learning and are not very critical of the information that comes from their teachers. Regarding PLEs, there are some topics that emerge from the analysis that should be studied in the next future in order to understand better how our students - our future professionals- learn

An approach for Model-Driven test generation

The test phase is one of the most important phases in software development. However, in practice, little research has been carried out in this field. Model-Driven Engineering is a new paradigm that can help to minimize test cases generation costs and can ensure quality of results. This paper presents the application of the MDE paradigm in the systematic, even automatic, generation of System Test Software.Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia TIN2007-67843-C06 03Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia TIN2007-30391-
