¿Los sujetos con obesidad subestiman su tamaño corporal? Una revisión narrativa de los métodos de estimación y teorÃas explicativas
The widespread of overweight and obesity in the developed countries is a real societal issue, nevertheless a considerable amount of subjects with obesity do not recognize their condition. Researchers used different methods to assess body size perception by obese subjects and the results show that while some subjects with obesity estimate accurately or overestimate their body size, others underestimate their weight and their body size measures. A failure to identify overweight or obesity has serious consequences on the subject's health, as it is widely recognised that self-awareness is the first step to engage in a rehabilitation program. The spread of obesity underestimation and its implications make the case for a new hypothetical body image disorder, which has been called Fatorexia (TM). It consists in the significant underestimation of body size by subjects with obesity, as they are unable or unwilling to acknowledge their condition. Some researchers proposed a social explanation to the underestimation phenomenon, but here an alternative hypothesis, the Allocentric Lock Theory (ALT), is outlined to describe the mechanisms behind the underestimation of body size by subjects with obesity
Primordial gravitational waves amplification from causal fluids
We consider the evolution of the gravitational wave spectrum for super-Hubble modes in interaction with a relativistic fluid, which is regarded as an effective description of fluctuations in a light scalar minimally coupled field, during the earliest epoch of the radiation dominated era after the end of inflation. We obtain the initial conditions for gravitons and fluid from quantum fluctuations at the end of inflation, and assume instantaneous reheating. We model the fluid by using relativistic causal hydrodynamics. There are two dimensionful parameters, the relaxation time Ï„ and temperature. In particular we study the interaction between gravitational waves and the nontrivial tensor (spin 2) part of the fluid energy-momentum tensor. Our main result is that the new dimensionful parameter Ï„ introduces a new relevant scale which distinguishes two kinds of super-Hubble modes. For modes with H-1Fil: Mirón Granese, Nahuel Omar. Two Main Business Cycle Shocks are Better than One
This paper challenges the claim of a recent authoritative study that identifies a single shock as the main driver of business cycle fluctuations. We argue that the VAR used in that study is informationally insufficient, i.e., it is unable to recover the true structural shock driving business cycle fluctuations.
Using a large-dimensional Structural Dynamic Factor model, we present an alternative view of US business cycles, more in line with classical AD-AS theory. This underscores the multivariate nature of cycles and challenges the existence of a Main Business-Cycle shock

Antimicrobial activity, synergism and inhibition of germ tube formation by Crocus sativus-derived compounds against Candida spp
The limited arsenal of synthetic antifungal agents and the emergence of resistant Candida
strains have prompted the researchers towards the investigation of naturally occurring
compounds or their semisynthetic derivatives in order to propose new innovative hit
compounds or new antifungal combinations endowed with reduced toxicity. We explored the
anti-Candida effects, for the first time, of two bioactive compounds from Crocus sativus stigmas,
namely crocin 1 and safranal, and some semisynthetic derivatives of safranal obtaining
promising biological results in terms of minimum inhibitory concentration/minimum fungicidal
concentration (MIC/MFC) values, synergism and reduction in the germ tube formation. Safranal
and its thiosemicarbazone derivative 5 were shown to display good activity against Candida

Double Field Theory with matter and the generalized Bergshoeff-de Roo identification
The scalar field-perfect fluid (sf-pf) correspondence shows that the
energy-momentum tensor of a scalar field is in correspondence with the dynamics
of a perfect fluid. In this work we generalize this concept to study the
higher-derivative structure of Double Field Theory with statistical matter.
Using the generalized Bergshoeff-de Roo identification we find nontrivial
higher-derivative corrections for the generalized scalar field Lagrangian.
However, these contributions are removed to any desired order using field
redefinitions at the supergravity level. By virtue of the generalized sf-pf
correspondence we obtain the higher-derivative dynamics for the perfect fluid
in the double geometry, which is also trivialized at the supergravity level.
These results imply that the well-known -corrections obtained by this
procedure only correct the effective vacuum Lagrangian, while the sf-pf
Lagrangian coupled to the supergravity background remains uncorrected to all
orders. Our findings apply for a general (Bosonic-Heterotic-Type II-HSZ)
supergravity background.Comment: 8 pages. Discussions improved, updated reference section. Prepared
