El deporte moderno ha eliminado gran parte de los componentes de violencia física que caracterizaron históricamente la práctica deportiva. En la actualidad, el deporte espectáculo exalta a través de los medios de comunicación otro tipo de agresividad, aquella que glorifica la competitividad y exige la existencia de ganadores y perdedores en cualquier ámbito de la vida social. Frente a dicho modelo deportivo debe fomentarse el deporte educativo, que enseña que lo verdaderamente importante es jugar y divertirse, y que el contrincante es el compañero de juegosThe modern conception of sports avoid the most part of the physical violence associated historicaly to the sportive practice. Now, the show-sport enhance -by means the media- a different type of agressivity. This agressivity points to the competition and the existence of both winners and losers in all the society fields. Virtual Screening of Plant Volatile Compounds Reveals a High Affinity of Hylamorpha elegans (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) Odorant-Binding Proteins for Sesquiterpenes From Its Native Host

Indexación: Web of ScienceHylamorpha elegans (Burmeister) is a native Chilean scarab beetle considered to be a relevant agricultural pest to pasture and cereal and small fruit crops. Because of their cryptic habits, control with conventional methods is difficult; therefore, alternative and environmentally friendly control strategies are highly desirable. The study of proteins that participate in the recognition of odorants, such as odorant-binding proteins (OBPs), offers interesting opportunities to identify new compounds with the potential to modify pest behavior and computational screening of compounds, which is commonly used in drug discovery, may help to accelerate the discovery of new semiochemicals. Here, we report the discovery of four OBPs in H. elegans as well as six new volatiles released by its native host Nothofagus obliqua (Mirbel). Molecular docking performed between OBPs and new and previously reported volatiles from N. obliqua revealed the best binding energy values for sesquiterpenic compounds. Despite remarkable divergence at the amino acid level, three of the four OBPs evaluated exhibited the best interaction energy for the same ligands. Molecular dynamics investigation reinforced the importance of sesquiterpenes, showing that hydrophobic residues of the OBPs interacted most frequently with the tested ligands, and binding free energy calculations demonstrated van der Waals and hydrophobic interactions to be the most important. Altogether, the results suggest that sesquiterpenes are interesting candidates for in vitro and in vivo assays to assess their potential application in pest management strategies.http://jinsectscience.oxfordjournals.org/content/16/1/3

“CAPACITACIÓN EN EL MANEJO HIGIÉNICO DE ALIMENTOS AL PERSONAL DE UN SERVICIO DE ALIMENTACIÓN COLECTIVO A TRAVÉS DEL DISTINTIVO H.”

Es de suma importancia capacitar al personal que manipula alimentos, para que de esta forma tengan las bases y fundamentos que señalan las normas que rigen nuestro país para la manipulación higiénica de los alimentos. Las enfermedades transmitidas por los alimentos son uno de los problemas de salud pública que se presentan con mayor frecuencia en la vida cotidiana de la población. Muchas de las enfermedades, tienen su origen en el acto mismo de manipular los alimentos en cualquiera de sus etapas, desde la producción hasta su consumo. El impacto en la salud pública, la contaminación de los alimentos tiene efectos económicos, sobre los establecimientos dedicados a su preparación y venta, así como de quienes contratan a empresas dedicadas a este ramo para su servicio, Si se presentan estas enfermedades en un grupo cerrado de la población, las empresas que brinden sus servicios de alimentación pierden la confiabilidad por parte del cliente. Las medidas para evitar la contaminación de los alimentos son sencillas y pueden ser aplicadas por quien quiera que los manipule, aprendiendo las reglas para su manejo higiénico, empezando por cumplir con los conocimientos teóricos que avalen dichas acciones prácticas. De ello surge la necesidad de unir esfuerzos con el manipulador, otorgando los instrumentos necesarios teórico-prácticos que permitan un mejor desempeño de sus funciones, proporcionando un servicio más profesional y sobre todo de calidad lo que contribuirá a que el rubro de alimentación industrial se sume mas a la lista de servicios de alimentación colectiva que cuenten con el Distintivo H lo que permitirá una carta de presentación probatoria por parte de los comensales, tanto por la variedad gastronómica como por la seguridad de la manipulación higiénica de los alimentos. El conocimiento sobre los alimentos y su manipulación, tiene mayor importancia a inicios del este milenio y ha hecho que sea un área cada vez mas explorada. Diversas instituciones preocupadas por el impacto social derivado de las infecciones provenientes de la mala manipulación higiénica de los alimentos han desarrollado lineamientos cada vez más exigentes en los que los establecimientos fijos que manipulan alimentos deben cumplir para de esta forma garantizar la salud, seguridad y en el caso del sector industrial la productividad. Por lo antes expuesto se plantea la siguiente pregunta de investigación ¿Cuál es el nivel de conocimientos de los manejadores de alimentos previa y post capacitación del distintivo H en el Comedor de la Empresa Manufacturera de Autopartes Eléctricas, ubicada en Toluca Estado de México

Racismo en el fútbol profesional español (1ª y 2ª división). Temporadas 2004-05 y 2005-06. (Racism in the Spanish professional football (1st and 2nd division). Seasons 2004-05 and 2005-06).

<b>Resumen</b><p align="justify">En la presente investigación se analizan los incidentes racistas ocurridos en los partidos de liga del fútbol profesional español en 1ª y 2ª división durante las temporadas 2004-05 y 2005-06. Para realizar dicho análisis se han empleado tres fuentes oficiales: 1. Actas de la Comisión Nacional contra la Violencia en los Espectáculos Deportivos, 2. Informes trimestrales realizados por la Oficina Nacional del Deporte perteneciente a la Dirección General de la Policía, y 3. Actas arbitrales. Los resultados muestran cómo el número total de incidentes racistas se mantuvo prácticamente constante en ambas temporadas aunque en 2ª división el número de incidentes se duplicó. En cuanto a la tipología de los incidentes recogidos, el 79% hace relación a conductas e insultos racistas mientras que el 21% restante se refiere a la exhibición de simbología de carácter racista. También se muestran datos de los clubes cuyos seguidores han ocasionado más incidentes racistas; cuántos de esos incidentes fueron protagonizados por grupos ultras; así como el número de personas implicadas y las propuestas de sanción realizadas por la Comisión Nacional contra la Violencia. Por último se reflejan los colegiados que recogieron en sus actas arbitrales incidentes racistas y/o xenófobos.</p><b> Abstract</b><p align="justify"> This investigation analyzes the racist incidents occurred during spanish proffesional football games of the 1st and 2nd division in the seasons 2004-05 and 2005-06. To conduct such analysis it was used three official sources: 1. Minutes of the National Committee against Violence in Public Spectacles, 2. Quarterly reports elaborated by the Sport National Bureau belonging to the Police National Department, and 3. Referees’ minutes. Results show how the total number of racist incidents was practically the same in both seasons, however in the 2nd division the number of incidents was twice as compared to the 1st division. Regarding the typology of the incidents analyzed, 79 % were related to racist behaviors and insults, and 21 % to exhibition of racist symbology. In addition, this study shows the clubs which supporters have been involved in more racist incidents and the number of these incidents related with groups of hooligans. Number of people involved and sanctions proposals elaborated by the National Committee against Violence were also included. Finally, it is the list with the names of the referees that have written racist or xenophobic incidents in their minutes.</p

Assessment of a Universal Reconfiguration-less Control Approach in Open-Phase Fault Operation for Multiphase Drives

Multiphase drives have been important in particular industry applications where reliability is a desired goal. The main reason for this is their inherent fault tolerance. Di erent nonlinear controllers that do not include modulation stages, like direct torque control (DTC) or model-based predictive control (MPC), have been used in recent times to govern these complex systems, including mandatory control reconfiguration to guarantee the fault tolerance characteristic. A new reconfiguration-less approach based on virtual voltage vectors (VVs) was recently proposed for MPC, providing a natural healthy and faulty closed-loop regulation of a particular asymmetrical six-phase drive. This work validates the interest in the reconfiguration-less approach for direct controllers and multiphase drives

Self-Assembly Behavior of Amphiphilic Janus Dendrimers in Water: A Combined Experimental and Coarse-Grained Molecular Dynamics Simulation Approach

FDGN thanks to the USA Air Force Office of Scientific Research Awards.Amphiphilic Janus dendrimers (JDs) are repetitively branched molecules with hydrophilic and hydrophobic components that self-assemble in water to form a variety of morphologies, including vesicles analogous to liposomes with potential pharmaceutical and medical application. To date, the self-assembly of JDs has not been fully investigated thus it is important to gain insight into its mechanism and dependence on JDs’ molecular structure. In this study, the aggregation behavior in water of a second-generation bis-MPA JD was evaluated using experimental and computational methods. Dispersions of JDs in water were carried out using the thin-film hydration and ethanol injection methods. Resulting assemblies were characterized by dynamic light scattering, confocal microscopy, and atomic force microscopy. Furthermore, a coarse-grained molecular dynamics (CG-MD) simulation was performed to study the mechanism of JDs aggregation. The obtaining of assemblies in water with no interdigitated bilayers was confirmed by the experimental characterization and CG-MD simulation. Assemblies with dendrimersome characteristics were obtained using the ethanol injection method. The results of this study establish a relationship between the molecular structure of the JD and the properties of its aggregates in water. Botrylactone: new interest in an old moleculedreview of its absolute configuration and related compounds

The absolute configuration of botrylactone, a unique compound with an interesting polyketide lactone skeleton with two oxirane bridges previously isolated from Botrytis cinerea and described as a powerful antibiotic, has been reviewed on the basis of sign of the optical rotation, NOE experiments and NMR method. The isolation of 7-deoxybotrylactone and 5-hydroxy-7-(4-hydroxydec-2(3)-enoyl) botrylactone enables us to characterize an intriguing new family of compounds with this interesting polyketide skeleton. GÉNERO Y RENDIMIENTO ACADÉMICO EN MATEMÁTICAS: EL CASO DE LA EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR

El presente ensayo pretende hacer una indagación sobre las interacciones docente-alumno en la clase de matemáticas, tomando en cuenta su género y de que manera influyen en el rendimiento académico de las y los alumnos, así mismo, de que forma la primera socialización que es la familia, se genera roles y estereotipos que marcan el gusto y la preferencia por las matemáticas, lo que se refuerza y agudiza a lo largo de la formación de cada alumno en la escuela, acto que impacta de manera trascendente en la elección de la carrera de las y los estudiantes de educación superior. Finalmente tomando en cuenta las diferencias de género, finalmente se espera que este tipo de escritos contribuyan reflexionar y crear conciencia sobre esta problemática para que se fortalezcan y mejoren las interacciones entre las y los docentes y las y los alumnos en el salón de clases de matemáticas
