This second part of the article does emphasis in the
authors that, by some means or other, have
adopted a more symbolic language in the
treatment of the concept of limit. The presentation,
how is natural, follows the chronological order and
puts the emphasis in those parts that are debtors of
the authors precedents and of those other that are
innovative
diferencial i integral. Això no obstant, la seva aparició
històrica no s'ha estudiat prou acuradament. Newton
primeres definicions i el seus passos graduals vers
visions diferents: Cauchy a França i Dirksen a
Alemanya.

Interactions between epistemologies of mathematics and educational systems -the emergence of mathematical communities according to cultures and states in 19th century Europe
Mathematics uses to be regarded as a universal discipline, as constituting one whole –being coherent and without fragmentations. This corresponds to conceptualizations in sociology of science; Thomas Kuhn –in his seminal work “The Structure of ScientificRevolutions” of 1962 (Kuhn, 1962) and in later publications –-used to speak of ‘scientific community’ in the singular, thus assuming the existence of one global community in each scientific discipline and which would thus act as an entirety. If one investigates, however, the emergence of modern mathematics as a discipline from the 19th century, one remarks, for instance, revealing differences between French mathematics, focused on “physico-mathématique”, Prussian mathematics, focused on “pure mathematics”, and British and Italian mathematics, which even began to prosper with a certain delay

The interdisciplinarity of ethnomathematics: challenges of ethnomathematics to mathematics and its education
Since the creation of the International Study Group on Ethnomathematics, several researchers have debated on how could or should a theory of ethnomathematics exist, and, if so, how it is to be conceptualized. So far, there exists no consensus on how this theory should be defined. During the last International Conference on Ethnomathematics (ICEm-4) in Towson, Maryland (July, 2010), Rik Pinxten emphasized on the necessity of reopening this debate. Ethnomathematics will only be acknowledged by other scientific communities if we, as ethnomathematicians, are able to establish a proper conceptualization of this field of study. This article aims to at least one possible approach to a conceptualization of a theory of ethnomathematics. As we will show, this theory needs to be regarded as an interdisciplinary discipline that covers theories from both the exact and social sciences
