New lanthanide phosphonates structures obtained using XRPD data
5 páginas, 2 figuras, 3 tablas.-- Trabajo presentado como póster a la 12th European Powder Diffraction Conference (EPDIC 2010).-- et al.Seven lanthanide diphosphonates, [H3N(CH2)4NH3]Ln[hedpH][hedpH2] (Ln = La, Pr, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Er; hedp = 1 hydroxyethylidenediphosphonate) have been synthesized with 1,4-diaminobutane as the template. The structures were obtained starting from the known X-ray single crystal model of lanthanum compound, with the X-ray powder diffraction data for these seven compounds. H-atoms were introduced using geometrical considerations. Rietveld fits of the experimental diffractograms confirm the isostructurality of all compounds in the series, and show the different behaviour between the two distances M-M existing in the structures.Financial support from Spanish MICINN (MAT2006-01997, MAT2010-15095 and ‘Factoría de Cristalización’ Consolider Ingenio 2010), Un-iversidad de Oviedo and Banco Santander is acknowledged. Porous carbons-derived from vegetal biomass in the synthesis of quinoxalines. Mechanistic insights.
We report herein for the first-time acid biomass-derived carbons from vegetal biomass, with high developed porosity, prepared through the integrating method comprising pyrolysis and surface phosphonation, able to efficiently catalyze the synthesis of quinoxalines from 1,2-diamines and -hydroxi ketones, under aerobic conditions. The obtained results indicate that the type and number of acid sites drive the reaction in terms of conversion and selectivity. Furthermore, our experimental and theoretical observations suggest that the preferred reaction pathway for this transformation, in the presence of the investigated acid carbon catalysts, involves cascade reactions including imination reaction between reactants, successive imine-enamine and ceto-enol tautomerisms, heterocyclization followed by dehydration, and aromatization. While the acid sites seem to be a relevant role in each reaction step, the system formed by activated carbon and molecular oxygen could be behind the last oxidative reaction to give quinoxalines.pre-print615 K
LA ACTIVIDAD FÍSICA EN LA AUTORREALIZACIÓN INTEGRAL DE LOS ESTUDIANTES DE CARRERAS AGROPECUARIAS
La investigación responde a la necesidad de revelar el papel de la actividad física en la formación de una cultura de autorrealización física integral en los estudiantes de las carreras agropecuarias, en el diagnóstico realizado se determinaron, insuficiencias didácticas en la actividad física de los estudiantes de las carreras agropecuarias que se manifiesta durante la ejecución de acciones que requieren de esfuerzo físico en las pasantías como parte de las actividades prácticas, que limitan su autorrealización física integral para cumplir con la higiene de la actividad laboral. El objetivo consiste en revelar el papel de la actividad física concerniente a la formación profesional de los estudiantes en las carreras agropecuarias durante el desarrollo de las pasantías, a partir de implementar procedimientos didácticos que conduzcan a los estudiantes a la aprehensión de una cultura de autorrealización física integral. MODELO DE LA DINÁMICA FÍSICO-EDUCATIVA EN LA FORMACIÓN DEL INGENIERO AGRÓNOMO
The physical model educational dynamics in the formation of an agronomist, is a major challenge in the task of achieving the integration of knowledge. Precisely in this regard, certain manifestations of physical activity emanating from the own professional tasks of this training process and thus the need for students to have the necessary educational tools for methodological treatment and regulation of incidents that causes such are revealed activity in the biological organism of such students, a phenomenon not valued or controlled with the magnitude it deserves in vocational training. It is significant for the hygiene of the work activity and strengthening the cultural dimension from the perspective treated subject.El Modelo de la dinámica físico-educativa en la formación del ingeniero agrónomo, es un importante reto en la tarea de alcanzar la integración de saberes. Precisamente en ese sentido, se revelan determinadas manifestaciones de actividad física emanadas de las tareas profesionales propias de este proceso formativo y con ello la necesidad de que los estudiantes cuenten con las herramientas didácticas indispensables para el tratamiento metodológico y la regulación de incidencias que provoca ese tipo de actividad en el organismo biológico de dichos estudiantes, fenómeno no valorado ni controlado con la magnitud que merece en la formación profesional. Pancreas agenesis mutations disrupt a lead enhancer controlling a developmental enhancer cluster.
Sequence variants in cis-acting enhancers are important for polygenic disease, but their role in Mendelian disease is poorly understood. Redundancy between enhancers that regulate the same gene is thought to mitigate the pathogenic impact of enhancer mutations. Recent findings, however, have shown that loss-of-function mutations in a single enhancer near PTF1A cause pancreas agenesis and neonatal diabetes. Using mouse and human genetic models, we show that this enhancer activates an entire PTF1A enhancer cluster in early pancreatic multipotent progenitors. This leading role, therefore, precludes functional redundancy. We further demonstrate that transient expression of PTF1A in multipotent progenitors sets in motion an epigenetic cascade that is required for duct and endocrine differentiation. These findings shed insights into the genome regulatory mechanisms that drive pancreas differentiation. Furthermore, they reveal an enhancer that acts as a regulatory master key and is thus vulnerable to pathogenic loss-of-function mutations
Die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der arabischen Mittelmeerländer im internationalen Vergleich
6 p.- Papers presented at the International Workshop "The Conservation of Subterranean Cultural Heritage", held 25-27 March 2014, in Seville, Spain.Paranhos constitutes one of the main water galleries excavated in the granite substratum of Porto City (Portugal) to gather the groundwater for public use during the past five centuries. This gallery is a Subterranean Cultural Heritage site with a potential use for underground geotourism under safe conditions. An environmental monitoring programme has been conducte in the site comprising rapid multi-parameters. This programme has allowed the identification of urban-induced causes of contamination of the aquifer and internal tunnel atmosphere (waste-water and gas leakage). Diseño y construcción de un calorímetro de junkers para determinación del poder calorífico del biogás
Se presentan los primeros resultados obtenidos a través de un calorímetro de Junkers, diseñado y construido por el grupo G.I.D.E.R. (Grupo de Investigación y Desarrollo en Energías Renovables), utilizado para determinar el poder calorífico de gases. Este dispositivo consiste básicamente en un intercambiador de calor tipo serpentina vertical, de cobre, por la cual fluye agua en forma descendente, ubicada en el interior de un cilindro de acero donde circulan, en sentido contrario, los humos de la combustión. Primeramente se realizaron ensayos con un gas conocido como el butano con el fin de calibrar el aparato. Posteriormente se llevaron a cabo experiencias con metano resultando el poder calorífico del mismo 47341,2 Kj/Kg. Si bien los valores hallados en forma práctica difieren ligeramente de los extraídos de la bibliografía, los mismos se consideran satisfactorios, teniendo en cuenta que son los primeros resultados obtenidos con el prototipo construido.We present the first results obtained from a Junkers calorimeter, designed and built by the group G.I.D.E.R. 3D collagen migration patterns reveal a SMAD3-dependent and TGF-β1-independent mechanism of recruitment for tumour-associated fibroblasts in lung adenocarcinoma
The TGF-β1 transcription factor SMAD3 is epigenetically repressed in tumour-associated fibroblasts (TAFs) from lung squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) but not adenocarcinoma (ADC) patients, which elicits a compensatory increase in SMAD2 that renders SCC-TAFs less fibrotic. Here we examined the effects of altered SMAD2/3 in fibroblast migration and its impact on the desmoplastic stroma formation in lung cancer.We used a microfluidic device to examine descriptors of early protrusions and subsequent migration in 3D collagen gels upon knocking down SMAD2 or SMAD3 by shRNA in control fibroblasts and TAFs.High SMAD3 conditions as in shSMAD2 fibroblasts and ADC-TAFs exhibited a migratory advantage in terms of protrusions (fewer and longer) and migration (faster and more directional) selectively without TGF-β1 along with Erk1/2 hyperactivation. This enhanced migration was abrogated by TGF-β1 as well as low glucose medium and the MEK inhibitor Trametinib. In contrast, high SMAD2 fibroblasts were poorly responsive to TGF-β1, high glucose and Trametinib, exhibiting impaired migration in all conditions.The basal migration advantage of high SMAD3 fibroblasts provides a straightforward mechanism underlying the larger accumulation of TAFs previously reported in ADC compared to SCC. Moreover, our results encourage using MEK inhibitors in ADC-TAFs but not SCC-TAFs.© 2022. The Author(s)
