Cerebral Palsy is a group of neurodevelopmental disorders that are attributed to a nonprogressive
lesion in a developing brain, which mainly presents motor alterations and deficits
in the evolution of movement and usually occurs with associated disorders. This disease
usually causes communication difficulties, so the aim of this work is to address the need for
educational inclusion in the case of an adolescent with cerebral palsy who attends an
educational establish.
In the first place, theoretical contents are addressed to know what cerebral palsy is and the
types, characteristics and symptoms that are manifested. During this theoretical foundation,
the different forms in which they can be presented are deepened according to their affected
neurological zone, the moment in which the lesion occurs, the symptomatology,
characteristics that this disease presents, the variations of these according to their typology or
the diseases associated with which it.
Once the theoretical aspect has been deepened, an intervention proposal is made based on two
phases, the first, prior to the arrival of the student, awareness-raising directed at their
classmates, and the second raised with activities to facilitate their inclusion in the ordinary
classroom.
To conclude, the project discusses about the possible usefulness of the proposal in the future,
as well as with the limitations that have arisen when carrying it out and future plans that could
enrich it.Departamento de PsicologíaMáster en Profesor de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y Bachillerato, Formación Profesional y Enseñanzas de Idioma
Influence of the synthesis conditions on the crystal structure and properties of GdBaCo2−xFexO5+δ oxides as air-electrodes for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells
The influence of the synthesis conditions on the crystal structure and properties of the oxides of the system GdBaCo2−xFexO5+δ is reported in this article. The materials are prepared by a ceramic method either in air or in an argon atmosphere. Crystal structure characterization is carried out by a combination of powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) with advanced methods of high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), scanning-transmission electron microscopy (STEM) and electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS). Thermal expansion coefficients of the oxides decrease with increasing substitution of Co by Fe. Impedance spectroscopy analysis of symmetrical cells using these materials as electrodes reveals area-specific polarization resistance (ASR) values low enough for the use of the oxides as air electrodes in intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFCs)
The activation of the Sox2 RR2 pluripotency transcriptional reporter in human breast cancer cell lines is dynamic and labels cells with higher tumorigenic potential
This is an open-access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY).-- et al.The striking similarity displayed at the mechanistic level between tumorigenesis and the generation of induced pluripotent stem cells and the fact that genes and pathways relevant for embryonic development are reactivated during tumor progression highlights the link between pluripotency and cancer. Based on these observations, we tested whether it is possible to use a pluripotency-associated transcriptional reporter, whose activation is driven by the SRR2 enhancer from the Sox2 gene promoter (named S4+ reporter), to isolate cancer stem cells (CSCs) from breast cancer cell lines. The S4+ pluripotency transcriptional reporter allows the isolation of cells with enhanced tumorigenic potential and its activation was switched on and offin the cell lines studied, reflecting a plastic cellular process. Microarray analysis comparing the populations in which the reporter construct is active versus inactive showed that positive cells expressed higher mRNA levels of cytokines (IL-8, IL-6, TNF) and genes (such as ATF3, SNAI2, and KLF6) previously related with the CSC phenotype in breast cancer. This work is supported by grants from Obra Social Kutxa, Gobierno Vasco (Saiotek program and Consejería de Educación PI2010-25), and Instituto de Salud Carlos III Acción Estratégica en Salud (PI2010-01035). The half-sine method: a new accurate location method based on wavelet transform for transmission-line protection from single-ended measurements
In this work, a new and accurate method based on the wavelet transform is proposed for fault location in transmission-line systems. The proposed wavelet method consists of the analysis of the transient signal measured at a single end of the transmission line. Aerial current modes are used, and zero modes are included in the fault-detection scheme for low fault-inception angles. The fault distance is evaluated using the wavelet modulus maxima technique and a method based on the response to a half-sine voltage is proposed to overcome drawbacks arising from the limited sampling frequency and low fault-inception angle. The fault distance is calculated using the difference between the time when a 100 kHz half-sine signal is sent and the time when the derivative signal is received. The proposed algorithm is tested considering harmonic distortion and varying fault resistance, ground resistivity, location and inception angle. The high accuracy of the proposed algorithm is obtained even for faults close to the bus and low inception angle
Eclectic Methodology and Intercultural Mediation in Teaching Initial Spanish to Native Chinese Speakers
The aim of this study is to know the appraisal of the agents involved in the implementation of a course designed for developing the oral communication effectiveness of Chinese workers. For the course, we advocated an eclectic methodology in which teaching resources of different kinds were applied to optimize language learning considering the specific needs of the learners. We decided the participation of two teachers per group and a linguistic and cultural Chinese mediator and we also took into account the methodology currently followed in the Chinese centers: the traditional approach (grammar-translation) and structural (Yang, 2013). In this observational descriptive study, the course participants (6 teachers, 6 assistants and 59 students) answered a questionnaire about different factors such as methodology, design of materials, resources used, use of the mother tongue, learners reactions to certain tasks, role of teachers and assistants. The results show satisfaction with the methodology, resources and materials used. The aim of this study is to know the appraisal of the agents involved in the implementation of a course designed for developing the oral communication effectiveness of Chinese workers.
Characterization of parasitic impedance in PCB using a flexible test probe based on a curve-fitting method
Switching in power semiconductors with emerging materials such as silicon carbide (SiC) leads to undesired overvoltages and oscillations that limit switching frequency, largely due to impedance in the current commutation loop. Minimizing this parasitic impedance in printed circuit boards (PCB) requires precise characterization. To this end, this work presents a new measurement method based on obtaining S-parameters with a vector network analyzer (VNA) and on using a shielded flexible probe with mobile test terminals. The flexible probe uses a metal shielding plane perpendicular to the PCB to prevent the main measurement errors resulting from the variation in the magnetic flux responsible for loop inductance during the VNA frequency sweep. The proposed curve-fitting procedure consists of measuring the characteristic impedance and propagation time of the traces, considering they form ideal transmission lines. These values are used for a nonlinear least squares adjustment for the actual line (with losses). Finally, an experimental assembly with microstrip transmission lines was developed to validate the proposed method experimentally. The experimental results were compared with those obtained by using a rigid test fixture as a reference, those calculated analytically and those obtained from partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) simulation. The curve-fitting method yields better results than the analytical and the simulation methods and they exhibit (up to 350 MHz) precisions of 1.37% in the characteristic impedance measurement and of 0.81% in the propagation time
