Automatizing the Evaluation of Model Matching Systems

    Get PDF
International audienceModel-Driven Engineering (MDE) and the Semantic Web are valuable paradigms. This paper sketches how to use a scientific and technical result around MDE in the Semantic Web. The work proposes a mechanism to automatize the evaluation of model matching algorithms. The mechanism involves megamodeling and a Domain Specific Language named AML (AtlanMod Matching Language). AML allows to implement matching algorithms in a straightforward way. We present how to adapt the mechanism to the ontology context, for example, to the Ontology Alignment Evaluation Initiative (OAEI)

The study aimed to determine the prevalence of psychostimulant consumption among medical and nursing students at a Chilean university, the personal characteristics and motivations for the use of these substances. This is a descriptive, transversal research with a quantitative approach. The sample was comprised of 92 students. Data collection occurred in 2011 through structured research. Descriptive statistics were used for the data analysis. The students were young, and 35% of them had previously consumed psycho stimulants. The main motivator was the pursuit of pleasure; need to stay awake, and to study. The difference in consumption between the genders was negligible. Research in this area is important to characterize the substance users, to monitor consumption patterns and develop strategies.O objetivo deste estudo foi determinar a prevalência de consumo de psicoestimulantes, em estudantes de enfermagem e medicina, numa universidade chilena, e as características pessoais e motivações para o consumo dessas substâncias. A Domain Specific Language for Expressing Model Matching

    Get PDF
National audienceA matching strategy computes mappings between two models by executing a set of heuristics. In this paper, we introduce the AtlanMod Matching Language (AML), a Domain Specific Language (DSL) for expressing matching strategies. AML is based on the Model-Driven paradigm, i.e., it implements model matching strategies as chains of model transformations. A matching model transformation takes a set of models as input, and yields a mapping model as output. We present a compiler that takes AML programs and generates ATL (AtlanMod Transformation Language) and Apache Ant code. The ATL code instruments the matching model transformations, and the Ant code orchestrates their execution. We evaluate this implementation on two strategies including robust matching transformations from the literature

Transforming CCSL partially-ordered Traces into UML Interaction Diagrams

The need for verification and debugging of critical temporal constraints in embedded systems comes out at different stages of development. In the specification step, static and dynamic views of the system are established and simulations are performed. In the implementation step, code may be instrumented with the purpose of collecting traces as the system executes in a target platform. In the same fashion as system executions, simulations produce traces that are later on analyzed by means of textual scripts. Instead of intricate scripts, we believe that the use of visual artifacts such as UML interaction diagrams (i.e., sequence and timing diagrams) can ease the comprehension of system behavior. In this report, we propose partial orderings (which order the events reported in traces in a temporal and causal way) as a pivot to go toward interaction diagrams straightforwardly. Mappings between partial orderings and UML interaction diagrams are implemented as transformations. We illustrate our approach with a prototype and an example

A Model-Based Approach for Reconciliation of Polychronous Execution Traces

International audienceEmbedded systems are very difficult to design and debug because of the limited access to the device itself. Therefore, debugging usually requires to instrument the code so as to produce execution traces that are then monitored from a base station. Such an intrusive method has a direct impact on performances. In case of multiple interacting embedded targets the problem is even more severe and is not limited to computations but also spreads to communications. To reduce the communication overhead, we propose an approach in which unsynchronized traces from several targets are reconciled a posteriori. Since each target has its own time base without a built-in clock synchronization protocol, our approach requires a multi-clock reconciliation specification. This paper describes our model-based proposal developed during the ANR project RT-Simex. The different steps of the reconciliation are illustrated on a simple case-study used in the project, a terrestrial robot controlled in position

Variability management in a model-driven software product line

    Get PDF
Variability management in Software Product Lines (SPLs) has two fundamental challenges: (1) the expression of common and variable features, and (2) the development of applications employing properly such features. In this paper, we present a Software Product Line based on Models (MD-SPL). We separate the concepts related to SPLs in different domains and we build core assets like feature models, metamodels, and three different types of transformation rules to transform models from a source domain to different (variable) models into a target domain. By using transformation rules, we are able to generate applications in an incremental process, guided by a set of features selected for each target domain. Thus, we manage to extend the SPLs scope, separate the domains diminishing the complexity to create applications with variable characteristics, and automatically generate applications using transformation rules. In order to illustrate our approach, we have built a MDSPL where the products are small applications used in programming computers teaching
