Tracing of ribbed vaults of the 16th century in Mexico

En este trabajo se estudiaron los templos conventuales mexicanos construidos en el siglo xvi, techados totalmente con bóvedas de nervaduras. El objetivo consistió en identificar sus características geométricas y el origen del trazo de los elementos estructurales que conforman estos templos. Para ello se eligieron cuatro iglesias conventuales en función de la relevancia de sus características geométricas y constructivas para su comportamiento estructural, y por su periodo de construcción. A partir de tratados de construcción de la época se identificó la geometría y el trazo de las bóvedas y algunos aspectos básicos del dimensionamiento de sus contrafuertes. Esto ha servido a fin de establecer una base para el estudio de los lineamientos seguidos por sus constructores en la búsqueda de garantizar la estabilidad de estas edificaciones, así como para estudios posteriores de su comportamiento estructural.In this paper were studied the Mexican conventual temples built in the xvi century, roofed totally with ribbed vaults. The objective consisted on identifying its geometric characteristics and the origin of the line of the structural elements that conforms these temples. For this were chosen four conventual churches in function of the relevance of their geometric and constructive characteristics for their structural behavior, and for their period of construction. Starting from treaties of construction of the time it was identified the geometry and the line of the vaults and some basic aspects of the dimensioning of their buttresses. This has served in order to establish a base for the study of the limits continued by their manufacturers in the search of guaranteeing the stability of these constructions, as well as it stops later studies of their structural behavior

The concept of hegemony in Gramsci : a proposal for analysis and political action

Como marxista hegeliano Gramsci se aleja del “determinismo económico" del marxismo tradicional y construye la categoría de hegemonía para analizar y proponer la acción política, enfatizando la subjetividad, otorgando un lugar importante a la ideología y a la dirección política y cultural, restableciendo de este modo la relación dialéctica entre estructura y superestructuras. El italiano hace un llamado a la descorporativización del proletariado y, en consecuencia, a la operativización de alianzas que incluyan a todos los que tienen similar situación de explotación. Así, propone la construcción de una “nueva hegemonía" donde el nuevo príncipe: “el partido", es central como así también la actividad política de los intelectuales orgánicos para cimentar ideología y develar situaciones: el paso de “la consciencia en sí" a “la conciencia para sí". Gramsci está observando su contexto político y social, y desde su lugar de teórico y militante comprometido propone “tomar y fundar" el Estado. Dentro de la tradición marxista, Antonio Gramsci deja de ver a las superestructuras como un epifenómeno determinado directamente por la estructura, y otorga a la hegemonía cultural un lugar central en la dominación del capitalismo. Cuentos populares a través de los títeres en un aula de educación infantil

Este trabajo fin de grado (en adelante TFG), se centra principalmente en la literatura infantil, más concretamente en los cuentos tradicionales o populares, y en los títeres, un recurso que habitualmente se utiliza con bastante frecuencia en un aula de Educación Infantil. El trabajo se divide en dos partes. La primera parte más teórica en la que hablo de la literatura infantil, centrándome en los cuentos populares y sus características. Además se habla también de la dramatización y de uno de sus principales recursos, los títeres, señalando las aportaciones que realizan estos en un aula de Educación Infantil. En una segunda parte, se recoge la propuesta didáctica, señalando objetivos, contenidos, actividades y metodología. A continuación de ésta, se ofrecen los resultados sacados después de llevar esta propuesta didáctica a cabo en el colegio CEIP Villalpando (Segovia). Finalmente se incluyen las conclusiones finales de este trabajo, destacando varios aspectos que me han ido surgiendo a lo largo de su realización.Grado en Educación Infanti

A Grounded Approach to Integral Art Therapy: Initial Reflections on Art Materials

Photoelectric characterization of solar cells based on III-V semiconductors

This bachelor thesis is focused on the theoretical background study and its subsequent experimental application of solar cells based on III-V semiconductors with the aim of understanding the relationship between the band-gap of the materials and their electrical performance (i.e. quantum efficiency). Furthermore, the effect of the material’s properties on the quantum efficiency is analysed, with the aim of optimizing the parameters to improve the efficiency of future solar devices. These III-V semiconductors that have excellent properties and different ranges of band-gap are connected in series forming multi-junction solar cells. Thus, the light that is not absorbed by the upper layers is absorbed in the lower layers, so with this type of cells the fitting of the solar devices to the solar spectrum is improved. Through the characterization of the tested III-V solar cells using a spectral response measurement equipment, it was proved that as the band-gap energy decreases, the quantum efficiency increases as does the absorption of light wavelengths available, so the greater the energy of the band-gap, the smaller the efficiencies reached. A different approach for a potential increase of the solar cell efficiency is also described and used during this project. This approach is based on a simulation tool. Thanks to those simulations, the effect of different modular parameters on the performance of the devices has been studied and the obtained results can be applied in the manufacture of future devices. Moreover, this study can be used as a feedback tool for upcoming experimental research.Ingeniería de la Energí

Project development of optimization package kit for finishing works in sierra Marval Reserve

El presente documento, aborda la mejora de producto ofrecido hoy en día por la constructora Marval, en cuanto a sus reformas arquitectónicas; de esta manera no solo se reduce la variedad de kits ofrecidos por la compañía, sino que plantea la creación de diez paquetes de kits por espacios, los cuales producen un proyecto integral, que soluciona temas de ejecución y control evitando reprocesos para la compañía y garantiza la rentabilidad financiera. Para este documento, se realizó un estudio de mercado donde se identificaron las principales necesidades del cliente a cubrir y se plantearon los materiales adecuados, junto con la cantidad exacta de paquetes de reformas por espacios, para que luego se diseñara cada kit y se evaluará su tiempo de ejecución y ventas; de esta manera se determinó el costo y valor de comercialización de cada propuesta y se estableció la ganancia de cada paquete evidenciando la mejora en el producto en términos financieros. A través del documento presentado, fue posible establecer una ganancia verdadera para la compañía refirmando la idea de tener menos cantidad de kits, con estandarización en temas de materiales y ejecución; por ende, se está evitando reprocesos que desencadenan en sobrecostos para Marval.This document addresses the product improvement offered today by the construction company Marval, in terms of its architectural reforms; This way not only reduces the variety of kits offered by the company, but also proposes the creation of ten kits for spaces, which produce a comprehensive project that solves execution and control issues, avoiding reprocessing for the company and guarantees The financial profitability. ¿Quién construye el paraíso? Análisis de caso de tres espacios en la región turística de Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo

La región turística de Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo ofrece la posibilidad de un acercamiento etnográfico singularmente interesante para tratar de explicar la forma en que se producen espacios turísticos y la participación de los actores que intervienen en esta producción. A pesar de que las tres localidades de estudio (Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo y Troncones) forman parte de una región que ha ido conformándose con base en elementos económicos, geográficos y sociohistóricos mas o menos identificables y el hecho de que la característica principal que comparten es que una gran parte de su actividad económica está basada en el sector servicios, específicamente en la industria turística, resaltan las especificidades de cada una de ellas. La presente ponencia busca trazar los distintos procesos bajo los cuales está área se ha configurado como una región turística desde mediados del siglo pasado, y destacar el papel de agencias y actores (organismos internacionales, el Estado y sus diversas instituciones, empresas trasnacionales, ejidatarios, población local, entre otros) que a diferente nivel han dado forma a las características únicas de cada uno de los tres espacios

Three essays on bargaining : On refutability of the Nash bargaining solution. On inter- and intra-party politics. A bargaining model with strategic generosity

This dissertation is a collection of three essays that share one common feature: all three of them relate to the literature on Bargaining. The first and second essay are joint work with my supervisor, Professor Andrés Carvajal. In our first essay we investigate the testable implications of the Nash bargaining solution. We develop polynomial tests of the NBS under different hypothesis about the default levels. For instance, with, and without observation from the outside econometrician of the levels of utility that the individuals would have obtained outside the negotiation. We use the Tarski-Seindenberg algorithm to characterize rationalizable data as those that satisfy a finite system of polynomial inequalities. In our second essay we introduce a new equilibrium concept for games of political competition. We model electoral competition within each party, assuming inner-party members have somewhat conflicting preferences. By using the bargaining protocol à la Baron and Ferejohn (1989) we explicitly model party members’ strategic interactions, their incentives and their decision of whom to elect. Our equilibrium concept attempts to model each member’s decision as if each player were uncertain about, (i) the faction that will eventually dominate the decision made by the other party and (ii) the faction that will dominate in the party’s nomination. In the last essay I focus on one of the classical problems in bargaining: the divide the dollar problem. In our framework we assume players’ utility functions mirror selfish and Rawlsian preferences. We derive the set of subgame perfect equilibria for different arrangements of player types and study why strategic generosity emerges under the bargaining protocol we assume

Understanding replication of experiments in software engineering: a classification

Context: Replication plays an important role in experimental disciplines. There are still many uncertain- ties about how to proceed with replications of SE experiments. Should replicators reuse the baseline experiment materials? How much liaison should there be among the original and replicating experiment- ers, if any? What elements of the experimental configuration can be changed for the experiment to be considered a replication rather than a new experiment? Objective: To improve our understanding of SE experiment replication, in this work we propose a classi- fication which is intend to provide experimenters with guidance about what types of replication they can perform. Method: The research approach followed is structured according to the following activities: (1) a litera- ture review of experiment replication in SE and in other disciplines, (2) identification of typical elements that compose an experimental configuration, (3) identification of different replications purposes and (4) development of a classification of experiment replications for SE. Results: We propose a classification of replications which provides experimenters in SE with guidance about what changes can they make in a replication and, based on these, what verification purposes such a replication can serve. The proposed classification helped to accommodate opposing views within a broader framework, it is capable of accounting for less similar replications to more similar ones regarding the baseline experiment. Conclusion: The aim of replication is to verify results, but different types of replication serve special ver- ification purposes and afford different degrees of change. Each replication type helps to discover partic- ular experimental conditions that might influence the results. The proposed classification can be used to identify changes in a replication and, based on these, understand the level of verification

Diseño e implementación de un algoritmo para dar solución al problema de asignación de salones (Timetabling) usando el método de colonia de hormigas

En muy corto tiempo el software es posiblemente uno de los productos de la Ingeniería que más se ha transformado, evolucionando desde el software empírico, hasta llegar al desarrollo de aplicaciones bajo los principios y herramientas de la Ingeniería del software, aun así, cuando se ha tratado de mantener en regla dichos principios, aquellos encargados de su elaboración se han visto obligados a enfrentar una serie de problemas muy comunes gracias a la gran exigencia en la capacidad de resultados de los programas y a diferentes requerimientos que con el pasar del tiempo se vuelven aun más grandes debido al cambio de las condiciones de uso, instalación, plataformas, tiempos, hardware, etc. lo que aumenta su complejidad y con el transcurso de los días su obsolescencia. Gracias al rápido avance tecnológico de la información, la cantidad y la complejidad del software se ha acrecentado de una forma considerable, así como también han aumentado los requerimientos en su funcionalidad, confiabilidad y por lo tanto su seguridad, intentando con esto reconocer requisitos incompletos, ambiguos o contradictorios; de esta manera la calidad y la productividad se están transformando en las mayores preocupaciones para los desarrolladores del software. Uno de los problemas en los que la computación de alto desempeño puede mejorar los tiempos de ejecución así como también la forma de implementar un algoritmo determinado es la programación de clases con aulas y horarios adecuados a las necesidades de una institución educativa; problema al que se llamara de ahora en adelante Asignación de Aulas y Horarios, el cual se intentará resolver usando Colonia de Hormigas como metodología heurística para la búsqueda de soluciones. La Asignación de Aulas y Horarios consiste en relacionar un grupo de profesores a un grupo de materias dentro de un período de tiempo fijo, generalmente una semana, satisfaciendo un grupo de restricciones de diferente tipo; encontrar una solución de forma
