Situación laboral de las personas con discapacidad en España

En nuestra sociedad el empleo constituye el elemento clave para la integración social de la persona. Este trabajo aborda la situación sociolaboral de las personas con discapacidad en España. Incluye un análisis de los datos estadísticos sobre empleo atendiendo a las variables edad, sexo, tipo de actividad, nivel de estudios entre otras. Ofrecemos una visión general de los diversos factores que inciden directamente en la incorporación de las personas con discapacidad en el trabajo. Se recogen a su vez las medidas de Fomento de Empleo aprobadas para personas con discapacidad en España.In our society employment constitutes the key element for the individual social mainstreaming. This article deals with the working and social conditions of the people with disabilities in Spain. It provides an analysis of employability data according to gender, age, activity, qualifications among others. It provides a general description of the different aspects that are involved directly in the incorporation of people with disabilities into work. Filling as Retouching: The Use of Coloured Fillers in the Retouching of Contemporary Matte Paintings

Contemporary paintings - characterized by new textures, unvarnished surfaces or matte finishes - have new aesthetic values that should be strictly respected by conservators. This often leads conservators to establish unconventional treatment methodologies and materials that include the retouching of areas with losses. This research presents the case of the retouching process carried out on several large paintings by the artist Manuel Padorno (1933-2002), considered one of the most important Spanish painters in the second half of the 20th century. Because of his creative process - distinguished by his freedom in the use of materials and techniques - some of his paintings now have significant conservation problems. This damage includes large losses and major cracks that have required unconventional retouching due to their particular shine, volume and saturation characteristics. In this case, the retouching of some large losses located in highly saturated and matte areas (some of them made up of synthetic gesso impastos) required the use of coloured synthetic fillers, instead of two separate layers of stucco and retouching, as the tested samples provided a glossier or more satin finish which prevented complete visual integration at the required level of saturation. The retouching methodology includes the preparation of coloured filler samples - using different synthetic reversible binders - to obtain an exact match not only in terms of colour, but also shine. The results showed that the use of these coloured fillers produces extremely matte and saturated colours that can be retouched afterwards if necessary. Wet-on-wet application, which produces complete visual re-integration in the original impasto areas, can also be achieved

Dry anaerobic digestion of organic waste: A review of operational parameters and their impact on process performance.

open access articleDry digestion is a suitable technology for treating organic wastes with varying composition such as the organic fraction of municipal solids waste. Yet, there is a need for further research to overcome some of the disadvantages associated with the high total solids content of the process. Optimisation of inoculum to substrate ratio, feedstock composition and size, liquid recirculation, bed compaction and use of bulking agents are some of the parameters that need further investigation in batch dry anaerobic digestion, to limit localised inhibition effects and avoid process instability. In addition, further attention on the relation between feedstock composition, organic loading rate and mixing regimes is required for continuous dry anaerobic digestion systems. This paper highlights all the areas where knowledge is scarce and value can be added to increase dry anaerobic digestion performance and expansion

The Sign Language interpreter in the education field: problems and proposals for improvement

La figura del intérprete de Lengua de Signos es un recurso en el aprendizaje de los alumnos con discapacidad auditiva que contribuye al desarrollo de la experiencia bilingüe (lengua oral/Lengua de Signos) en los centro educativos españoles. Este estudio se centra en la figura del intérprete de Lengua de Signos como pieza fundamental en el aprendizaje del alumnado sordo en la comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León. Por lo tanto, el objetivo general del estudio es analizar los factores que obstaculizan y facilitan la figura de este intérprete en los centros educativos de Castilla y León. Para ello se ha llevado a cabo una metodología de corte cualitativo de exploración descriptiva y evaluativa orientada a la decisión, utilizando el análisis DAFO como instrumento para la consecución del objetivo establecido. La muestra de este estudio ha estado constituida por diez intérpretes de Lengua de Signos que ejercían su profesión en centros públicos de Castilla y León durante el curso académico 2013/2014, seleccionados a través de la técnica cualitativa de informantes clave. Como conclusiones encontradas cabe destacar el desconocimiento de la figura del intérprete de Lengua de Signos por parte de la comunidad educativa, la falta de criterios normativos que regulen equitativamente la participación de este profesional en el centro, y finalmente, la necesidad de una mayor integración de la figura de este profesional en el ámbito educativo para mejorar la calidad de la experiencia bilingüe de los alumnos sordos. Algunas de las propuestas más relevantes para superar los puntos débiles y potenciar los puntos fuertes identificados en el estudio son potenciar el trabajo en equipo entre todos los agentes educativos y sociales, la sensibilización y asesoramiento de toda la comunidad educativa y el desarrollo de estrategias individualizadas y adaptadas a las necesidades de cada uno de estos alumnos.The Sign Language interpreter is a learning resource for students with hearing disability that contributes to the development of a bilingual experience in Spanish educational centers. This study focuses on the Sign Language interpreter as an essential part of the learning environment of deaf students in the Autonomous Community of Castile and Leon. The general aim of this study is to analyze the obstacles that block and facilitate the work of the Sign Language interpreter in schools of Castile and Leon. To that end, we carried out a qualitative methodology using descriptive and evaluative exploratory techniques and the SWOT analysis for interpreting the results. The research sample consisted of ten Sign Language interpreters working in state schools of Castile and Leon during the 2013/2014 academic year. They were selected through the qualitative technique of key informants. The results highlight the lack of awareness that the educational community has about the role of the Sign Language interpreter, the lack of normative criteria that equitably regulate the participation of this professional at the center, and finally, the Need for a greater integration of this professional in the education field in order to improve the quality of the bilingual experience of deaf students. Some of the most relevant proposals that could be used in order to overcome the weaknesses and enhance strengths that were identified in this study, are to promote teamwork among all educational and social agents, to increase awareness and counseling of the entire educational community and the development of individualized strategies adapted to the needs of each of the students

Ética y prevención del consumo de drogas

En este artículo se discuten algunas controversias éticas en torno a la prevención del consumo de drogas. Las posiciones favorables al consumo de drogas plantean objeciones éticas a la prevención, especialmente a la prevención mediante la implantación de normas legales que restringen el acceso y el uso de las sustancias. Se apela al control personal o al autocontrol como sustitución de los mecanismos coercitivos o limitadores de las leyes actuales. Sin embargo, no existe ninguna posibilidad de desligar las conductas de autocontrol de las condiciones que las controlan, que, en su mayor parte, son sociales y que, en el último término, vienen ejercidas por las instancias de control tradicionales. Según esto, la existencia de esos controles sociales (normas, leyes, regulaciones, dificultades físicas de acceso, condena moral, etc.) facilita la implantación y el funcionamiento del autocontrol frente a las drogas. La existencia de normas legales que regulan (restringen) el consumo de drogas no ha de enfrentarse al necesario impulso de programas que eduquen a los individuos para no usar drogas o usarlas de forma moderada o responsable. [Resumo] Nas últimas construcións de buques civís e militares está a atenderse á mellora dos espazos de habitabilidade, pensando no benestar das tripulacións que viven a bordo. Este artigo pretende reflectir o que deberían ser uns requisitos mínimos para conseguir ese obxectivo. Partindo dalgunhas publicacións militares antigas, aumentáronse os cocientes para obter dimensións acordes ás esixencias e recomendacións da seguridade operativa e as leis de riscos laborais actuais.[Abstract] In recent constructions of civil and military vessels, habitability spaces are being improved thinking of crews living aboard. This article aims to reflect what should be a «minimum« to achieve that goal.
