Cell cultures are completely sufficient objects of the investigation, from one hand. From another, they may be units of biotechnological experiments directed to obtaining genetically modified plant forms. Cell cultures ensure to conduct the investigations of physiological and biochemical processes of cellular level. At the same time those events develop in cells that divide and grow actively. Some metabolism parameters are the adequate markers of normal/stress/pathological states of cell population. Cell culture with its dynamics considerably differs from intact plant tissues with their special functions. So, in vitro manipulations need regular control and proper modifications for any plant. Wheat biotechnology in vitro becomes advanced approach last time. Wheat plant tissues as well as wheat cultures there were detected. Two electrophoresis methods (Poperelia and Laemmli) for protein pools analyses were compared. The objects of investigation were different wheat tissues and their cell cultures. There was marked that the optimal test is a marker of functional status of cell culture.

Bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) is a common congenital valvular malformation, which may lead to early aortic valve disease and bicuspid-associated aortopathy. A novel BAV classification system was recently proposed to coincide with transcatheter aortic valve replacement being increasingly considered in younger patients with symptomatic BAV, with good clinical results, yet without randomized trial evidence. Procedural technique, along with clinical outcomes, have considerably improved in BAV patients compared with tricuspid aortic stenosis patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement. The present review summarizes the novel BAV classification systems and examines contemporary surgical and transcatheter approaches

Left ventricular area on non-contrast cardiac computed tomography as a predictor of incident heart failure – The Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis

BackgroundThe use of non-contrast cardiac computed tomography measurements to predict heart failure (HF) has not been studied. In the present study we evaluated the prognostic value of left ventricular area adjusted for the body surface area (LVA-BSA) measured by non-contrast cardiac CT to predict incident HF and cardiovascular disease (CVD) events.MethodsWe studied left ventricular dimensions and calculated LVA-BSA in 6781 participants of the MESA study (mean age: was 62 ± 10 years, 53% females; 62% non-white) free from prior HF who underwent non-contrast cardiac CT to evaluate the coronary artery calcium score (CAC) at baseline and were followed up for a median of 10.2 years.ResultsDuring follow up, 237 (3.5%) incident HF and 475 (7.0%) CVD events occurred. After adjustment for clinical variables and CAC, LVA-BSA was significantly associated with incident HF (hazard ratio [HR]: 1.10 per 100 mm2/m2, p < 0.001) and CVD events (HR: 1.07 per 100 mm2/m2, p < 0.001). The area under the ROC curve for the prediction of incident HF improved from 0.787 on a model including only risk factors to 0.798 when CAC was added (p = 0.02), and to 0.816 with the additional inclusion of LVA-BSA (p = 0.007). Similar improvements for the prediction of CVD events were noted.ConclusionIn an ethnically diverse population of asymptomatic individuals free from baseline CVD or HF, the left ventricular area measured by non-contrast cardiac CT is a strong predictor of incident HF events beyond traditional risk factors and CAC score

nimesulide-containing medicinal products are the most popular non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs which have been widely used in practice for many years. This active substance belongs to selective cyclooxygenase 2 inhibitors is a powerful pain reliever characterized by a rapid therapeutic effect compared to other pain relievers. Despite the contradictory literature data of the last decades regarding the use of nimesulide due to its hepatotoxic effect, nimesulide medicine remain a priority in the treatment of patients with pain syndrome of various genesis all over the world. Currently, nimesulide is produced in the world in various dosage forms. Some studies in recent years have proved its antitumor effect which has led to the appearance of new specific forms with nimesulide such as microgranules, microspheres, nanoparticles with targeted delivery. Therefore, the purpose of the investigation was to analyze Ukrainian pharmaceutical market of products with the nimesulide active substance by dosage forms, manufacturers; to establish the quality composition of original and generic drugs. The objects of the study were medicinal products containing nimesulide registered in Ukraine. The study was performed by analyzing of register data, using methods of grouping, comparison, graphic analysis, and generalization. In the work an analysis of medicines with nimesulide by dosage form and manufacturers was carried out. The excipients composition of reference drugs for nimesulide granules for oral suspension was also investigated. It was established that 32 medicines with nimesulide are registered in Ukraine, including 28 mono-preparations. A significant part of medicinal products with nimesulide are solid dosage forms, namely tablets (47 %) or granules for oral suspension (22 %) which contain 100 mg of nimesulide. It was established that there are no nimesulide in the form of prolonged-release tablets on the domestic market. Nimesulide drug products of foreign producers are dominant (59.38 %), India has a leading position (50 %). Granules are mainly produced by foreign manufacturers that confirms the feasibility of developing a domestic generic product. The original product is Aulin, granules for oral suspension, “Angelini Pharma”, Czech Republic. Differences in the qualitative composition of excipients of the original and generic products which present on the Ukrainian market were observed. The composition of products more often includes sucrose as filler, сetomacrogol 1000, liquid glucose spray-dried, maltodextrin, sodium saccharin, anhydrous citric acid, orange flavoring, corn starch, or Aerosil 200. As follows, the feasibility of development of domestic medicinal product in the form of prolonged-release tablets and granules was confirmed; the original product of nimesulide granules for oral suspension was determined and the qualitative composition of the reference drugs was established

BIOGAS AS AN ALTERNATIVE FUEL FOR AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORT IN MOUNTAIN AREAS

The potential of low-calorie gases, in particular, biogas, which Ukrainian agriculture and industry produce in significant quantities, is almost never used here. The number of available domestic facilities for recycling such gases is scanty, although, in most developed countries, the significant number of such factories is operating. Landfill biogas is one of the promising energy sources, still, today, it is either emitted into the atmosphere, polluting it, or burned in flares. The use of biogas as fuel in automotive internal combustion engines is not sufficiently studied. However, the substitution of gasoline for biogas reduces engine power and increases fuel consumption. Especially this should be taken into account when operating vehicles in mountainous terrain under the conditions of reduced atmospheric pressure and temperature. Nevertheless, researching how mountain conditions can influence the performance of biogas-powered automobile engines is not given enough attention yet in Ukraine and in the world. Operation of cars on the mountain roads of the Carpathian region at the altitudes of 1000 ÷ 2000 m above sea level with rises and descents up to 12% and the section length up to 10 ÷ 15 km is difficult. The higher is the level of the terrain above the sea, the lower become the atmospheric pressure, air density and temperature, which deteriorates the filling of the car engine cylinders. The engine cooling rate decreases because of the air dilution and small speeds on steep slopes. Simultaneously, running engines on an excessively enriched fuel-air mixture and moving mainly in lower gears lead to engine overheating. Under the mountainous terrain conditions, Air to Boil temperature decreases. As we know the blend composition of biogas, it is possible to calculate its combustion value as well as the combustion value of the gas-air mixtures. Based on analytical research, we have plotted some graphs that reflect the dependence of the changes in the effective power and effective specific biogas consumption on the changes in ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure
