Vibration Analysis and Optimal Design of Pneumatic Circuits Using Artificial Neural Networks

    Get PDF
Pneumatic systems are commonly used in industry processes and applications of automotion. These systems are make attractive power transmission with the compressed air, because of they are economic, clear, safe and simple structured. So in this systems, as noise and vibration effects, it’ s undesirable situations both human health and system performances yield and working life. In this study, vibration and noise datas are obtained from two type of pneumatic systems prototype which are classify metal and non-metal materials and performed an analysis with help of this datas and used neural network which has adaptive and quick contruction

In this study, the differentiation status of preschool children's adaptation to school according to their relationship with teachers was examined. The study participants consisted of 326 children aged 60-72 months and 21 preschool teachers in different preschool educational institutions affiliated to the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Konya, Turkey. The School Adaptation Teacher Assessment Scale and Teacher-Student Relationship Scale were utilized to collect the research data. In the evaluation of the research data, firstly, teacher-child relationship scores were divided into groups for cluster analysis: conflictual/non-conflictual, dependent/ independent, and close/distant teacher-child relationship. The data gathered were analyzed using the independent-samples t-test. The results of the study revealed that the level of school adaptation of the children who had close, non-conflictual, and independent relationships with their teachers differed significantly from that of children who had distant, conflictual, and dependent relationships with their teachers. Positive teacher-child relationships reflected positively on the level of the child's school adaptation level. Teachers should establish close relationships with children in order to facilitate their adaptation to the school in the preschool period

Teachers are the most important actors in integrating a multicultural perspective into pre-school education. Identifying teachers' perceptions of multicultural competence will enable the development of possible interventions. The current research carried out for this purpose is to examine the level of multicultural competence perceptions of preschool teachers according to the variables of age, region which they born/raised, educational background, professional experience, cultural diversity of the city where they study, receiving multicultural education, and presence of children who from different cultures in their classroom. In the research, survey research design, which is one of the quantitative methods, was used. For examined the multicultural competence perceptions of 280 preschool teachers working in official institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Altındağ, Çankaya, Etimesgut, Keçiören, Mamak and Yenimahalle districts of Ankara in the 2019-2020 academic year, the " Perceptions of Multicultural Competence Scale" used that developed by Başbay and Kağnıcı (2011). The obtained data was evaluated in the dimensions of awareness, knowledge, and skill, and it was revealed that preschool teachers' multicultural competence perceptions differed significantly according to their age, region which they born/raised, and educational backgrounds. The results were discussed within the framework of the determined variables and suggestions presented for future research.

The purpose of the present study is to investigate the correlation between self-esteem, socio-emotional adaptation of pre-schoolers and their relational problem-solving skills. The sample of the study was composed of 228 pre-schoolers (60-65 months) and their teachers in state and private preschool classes in the province of Konya. In this study, the researchers used Purdue Self Concept Scale for Preschool Children to identify their self-esteem and Marmara Socio-Emotional Adaptation Scale to identify their socio-emotional adaptation and Relational Problem-Solving Teachers’ Form to identify problem solving style. According to the findings of the study, self-esteem is a significant predictor of assertive, reserved and sociable problem-solving styles. However, it is not a predictor of passive assertive problem-solving style. Moreover, appropriately responding to a social situation as a sub-dimension of socio-emotional adaptation is a predictor of only passive-assertive, reserved-submissive and positive problem-solving approaches. Giving appropriate responses to social situations is a significant predictor of assertive, passive assertive and positive problem-solving approaches. Interaction with peers is a significant predictor of assertive and reserved-submissive problem-solving approaches, while approaching the social environment positively is not a predictor of any of the relational problem-solving styles.  Article visualizations

The Intergenerational Transmission of Party Preferences in Multiparty Contexts: Examining Parental Socialization Processes in the Netherlands"

Research shows that parents have a strong influence on the party preferences of their children. Yet little is known about how such preferences are transmitted in multiparty systems with weak party identification and high electoral volatility. We propose a model of intergenerational transmission that includes both direct effects of parents' party preferences on those of their children, as well as indirect effects through left–right and issue positions. We test this model with original survey data of Dutch adolescents (14–20 years old) and their parents (N = 751 adolescent-parent pairs). We find two paths through which parents exert influence on the party preferences of their adolescent children. On the first path, parental party preferences function as a direct predictor of adolescent party preferences. On the second path, adolescent left–right and issue positions function as a mediator between parental left–right and issue positions and adolescent party preferences, with the effect of left–right positions being stronger than that of issue positions. The frequency with which adolescents discuss political topics with their parents moderates these effects
