    In the study of the relationship between electromagnetic and seismotectonic processes, we analyzed the data of three observatories located at large distances, considering both latitudes and longitudes, and detected electromagnetic impulses in the frequency range from 0 to 5 Hz, which were recorded minutes before earthquakes. Detailed morphological and statistical analysis was carried out, and common and specific features were considered. Se­veral cases are discussed to illustrate the occurrence of electromagnetic precursor signals before the recorded devastating earthquakes in Japan, China, Romania and other seismically active regions. A qualitative explanation is given for the study results.При исследовании связи электромагнитных и сейсмотектонических процессов по данным трех разнесенных по широте и долготе обсерваторий обнаружены электромагнитные импульсы в диапазоне частот от 0 до 5 Гц, которые наблюдались за минуты до землетрясения. Проведен детальный морфологический и статистический анализ результатов, рассмотрены их общие и индивидуальные особенности. На конкретных примерах иллюстрируется появление сигналов перед разрушительными землетрясениями в Японии, Китае, Румынии и в ряде других сейсмоактивных регионов. Обсуждаются затронутые в работе проблемы, полученным результатам дается качественное объяснение

    The isotope contents of family uranium and thorium in the ash of wood of trees and pine needles before and after leaching by water were measured. The element contents in the ash of wood of trees and pine needles were measured by γ-activation analysis and spectrophotometer. A significant excess of lead-210 in pine needles in the vicinity of thermal power plant relatively its average content in Ukraine was discovered. Differences of magnitude of leaching uranium series isotopes, ¹³⁷Cs and ⁴⁰K from the wood of trees and pine needles were defined, which is due to the different character of the formation of crystallites during ashing of these objectsПроведены измерения содержания изотопов ряда урана и тория в золе деревьев и хвои сосны до и после выщелачивания водой. Измерено содержание элементов в золе деревьев и хвое сосны при помощи γ-активационного анализа и спектрофотометрии. Обнаружено значительное превышение содержания свинца-210 в хвое сосны в районе тепловой электростанции относительно его среднего содержания в Украине. Обнаружены различия величины выщелачивания изотопов ряда урана, ¹³⁷Cs и ⁴⁰K из деревьев и хвои сосны, которые обусловлены разным характером формирования кристаллитов при озолении в этих объектах.Проведено вимiрювання вмiсту iзотопiв ряду урану i торiю в золi дерев i хвої сосни до i пiсля вилуговування водою. Вимiряно вмiст елементiв в золi дерев i хвої сосни за допомогою gamma;-активацiйного аналiзу та спектрофотометрiї. Виявлено значне перевищення вмiсту свинцю-210 в хвої сосни в районi теплової електростанцiї щодо його середнього вмiсту в Українi. Виявленi вiдмiнностi величини вилуговування iзотопiв ряду урану, ¹³⁷Cs i ⁴⁰K з дерев i хвої сосни, якi обумовленi рiзним характером формування кристалiтiв при озоленнi в цих об'єктах

    Differential branching fraction and angular analysis of the decay B0→K∗0μ+μ−

    The angular distribution and differential branching fraction of the decay B 0→ K ∗0 μ + μ − are studied using a data sample, collected by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at s√=7 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb−1. Several angular observables are measured in bins of the dimuon invariant mass squared, q 2. A first measurement of the zero-crossing point of the forward-backward asymmetry of the dimuon system is also presented. The zero-crossing point is measured to be q20=4.9±0.9GeV2/c4 , where the uncertainty is the sum of statistical and systematic uncertainties. The results are consistent with the Standard Model predictions

    Measurement of the relative rate of prompt χc0, χc1 and χc2 production at √s=7TeV

    Prompt production of charmonium χc0, χc1 and χc2 mesons is studied using proton-proton collisions at the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of √s=7TeV. The χc mesons are identified through their decay to J/ψγ, with J/ψ→μ+mu− using photons that converted in the detector. A data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0fb−1 collected by the LHCb detector, is used to measure the relative prompt production rate of χc1 and χc2 in the rapidity range 2.0<y<4.5 as a function of the J/ψ transverse momentum from 3 to 20 GeV/c. First evidence for χc0 meson production at a hadron collider is also presented

    THERMAL AND EPITHERMAL NEUTRON GENERATION FOR NUCLEAR MEDICINE USING ELECTRON LINEAR ACCELERATOR

    In this paper, to obtain streams of thermal and epithermal neutrons are used delayed neutrons emitted from the target with a fissile material. The target preliminarily activated with help of electron beam from linear accelerator with an energy of 20 MeV and a power of 9 Watts. At the same time to obtain a stream of thermal as well as epithermal neutron density 6 10^-5 n / (cm^2 s) The results of experiment are presented where half-decay curves have been measured of emitting delayed neutrons radioactive nuclei produced in the fission process. It has been shown that the activated target, which contains the fissile material, presents a compact small size source of delayed neutrons. It can be delivered to the formator where thermal and epithermal neutrons are formed during a certain time period with help of the moderator, absorber and collimator. Then this target is moved to the activator being replaced with another target. Thus, pulsed neutron flux is produced. The duration of neutron pulse corresponds to the presence time of the activated target in the formator, and time interval between pulses is determined by the delivery time of the target from the activator to the formator. Given that the yield of neutrons from the target is directly proportional to the power of the beam of accelerated electrons, shows that the beam power of 1.5 - 3 kW, the flux density of thermal and epithermal neutrons can reach the values of (2-3) 10^9 n / (cm^2 s). Such a neutron beam can be used in nuclear medicine, in particular, in neutron capture therapy of oncologic diseases
