El museo, en todas sus variantes, es una institución ligada al viaje: viaje físico al lugar donde se conservan tesoros, viaje espiritual como el que realiza el espectador al contemplar las piezas, viaje conceptual como el que realizan las piezas por el mismo hecho de estar en un espacio de connotaciones sacralizantes. Pero puede hablarse también de otra forma de viaje en relación con el museo: la que se ha producido a través del tiempo y el espacio, dando lugar a diversas formas de concebir y entender el museo. Este artículo explora esas ideas deteniéndose en algunos ejemplos concretos.The museum, in all its variations, is an institution linked to journeys: a physical journey to a place where treasures are preserved, a spiritual journey like the one made by the visitor while contemplating the pieces, and a conceptual journey like the one the pieces make by the mere fact of being in a space with sanctifying connotations. But you can also talk about another way to travel in relation to the museum: the one that happened through time and space, leading to different ways of thinking of and understanding the museum. This article explores these ideas examining some specific examples

Based on the marriage as a central theme, including multiple characters and scenes, this article describes the psychological and social implications of his thought and the distance growing between civil morality and Canon Law.Este estudio profundiza en las similitudes y diferencias de dos obras moratinianas, El viejo y la niña y El sí de las niñas, tratando de mostrar su importancia en la concepción dramática del autor. Partiendo del matrimonio como tema central, y través de múltiples personajes y escenas, se van analizando las implicaciones sociales y psicológicas de su ideario así como la distancia, cada vez mayor, entre la moral civil y el Derecho canónico

Conceptualization and motivations of art collecting. New examples

El artículo pretende reflexionar sobre el concepto de la figura delcoleccionista, partiendo del matrimonio americano Herb y Dorothy Vogel, que ocuparon sus vidas y su modesta economía en la compra de arte, y que en 1991 donaron varios miles de piezas de arte a la National Gallery of Art de Washington. El caso de los Vogel, también llamados The Minimal Collectors y The thoroughly modest Medici, es el pretexto para tratar varios aspectos entorno a la figura del coleccionista de arte, y a partir de los perfiles de Henry Clay Frick, Duncan Phillips, Alfred Barnes y Dominique de Menilentre otros, veremos a qué deberes morales, objetivos y motivaciones respondían los coleccionistas tratados en este estudio.The article aims to reflect on the concept of the figure of the collector, based on Herb and Dorothy Vogel, who occupied their lives and its modest economy in the purchase of art, and in 1991 they donated thousands pieces of art to the National Gallery of Art in Washington. The case of the Vogel, also called The Minimal Collectors and The thoroughly modest Medici, is the pretext to treat various aspects environment art collector figure, and from profiles of Henry Clay Frick, Duncan Phillips, Alfred Barnes and Dominique de Menil among others, we will see what moral obligation, objectives and motivations have had the collectors treated in this study

Picasso y la historia. El caso de Las Meninas

Picasso’s revolutionary image has gradually evolved into a more conservative, traditional one. Indeed, a deeper look at his work shows that the he has always had a keen interest in the art of the past. Tradition unfolds before him as an attractive repository of forms from which to choose and reinterpret in a personal way. And within the entire Spanish artistic tradition, he found a personal challenge in Velázquez’s Meninas. By reinterpreting the Meninas, Picasso not only showed his respect but also his independence in relation to the Baroque master, asserting his place in history.La imagen revolucionaria de Picasso se ha vuelto gradualmente más conservadora y tradicional. En efecto, una mirada más profunda a su arte muestra que siempre mantuvo su interés hacia el arte del pasado. La tradición se despliega ante él como un atractivo catálogo de formas para escoger y reinterpretar de manera personal. Y entre toda la tradición española, Picasso encontró en Las Meninas de Velázquez un reto personal.
