Blocks of quotients of mackey algebras
Cataloged from PDF version of article. We review a theorem by Boltje and K¨ulshammer which states that under certain
circumstances the endomorphism ring EndRG(RX) has only one block. We study
the double Burnside ring, the Burnside ring and the transformations between two
bases of it, namely the transitive G-set basis and the primitive idempotent basis.
We introduce algebras Λ, Λdef and Υ which are quotient algebras of the inflation
Mackey algebra, the deflation Mackey algebra and the ordinary Mackey algebra
respectively. We examine the primitive idempotents of Z(Υ). We prove that the
algebra Λ has a unique block and give an example where Λdef has two blocks.Dar, Elif DoğanM.S
Examination of the psychological commitment to team of the students of Faculty of Sports Sciences
The purpose of this research is to examine the psychological commitment to team of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences. The sample of the study consisted of 242 students (97 female, 145 male) in the Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Coaching Education, Recreation and Sports Management Departments. “Personal Information Form” which was created by researchers and the Turkish version (Eskiler et al., 2011) of “Psychological Commitment to Team” (PCT) scale which was developed by Mahony et al. (2000) were used as a data collection tool in this research. Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis H test were used to analyze the data. Analyzes were made on the total score of PCT. For this study, Cronbach’s Alpha was found as .80 for the total score. As the result of analyzes, the level of “psychological commitment to team” of the students was found to be high. While there was no significant difference between gender and age variables with the scores obtained from PCT scale, there was a significant difference between department, licensed product purchases, years of being a sports fan, desire to work and possibility of working with the scores obtained from PCT scale. As a result, hypothesis 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 were accepted, while hypothesis 2 and 3 were rejected
Home Literacy Environment: Definitions, Dimensions and Its Role on the Development of Emergent Literacy Skills
Today it is believed that children acquire skills and knowledge about literacy before they begin formal
schooling. These skills and knowledge are termed as “emergent literacy” and are affected by “home literacy
environment” where children grow up. By providing literacy related materials and engaging in literacy activities
with their children, parents support the development of these skills in their children. This review paper provides
definitions and dimensions of home literacy environment and how this environment works to support emergent
literacy skills of young children
Kendiliğinden Ortaya Çıkan Okuryazarlık Becerilerinin Okul Öncesi Dönemdeki Gelişimi: 36-71 Aylık Türk Çocukları Örneklemi
The aim of this study was to unfold the development of preschool children’s emergent literacy skills with respect to age. This study was conducted in a cross sectional design. The sample consisted of 96 children aged 36-71 months. ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis Test results indicated that emergent literacy skills (phonological awareness, print concepts, alphabet knowledge and name writing) of preschool children could be differentiated with respect to age. The best performance that children displayed in phonological awareness was in syllable segmentation, whereas the lowest performance was in last phoneme detection. In terms of print concepts, the children were better at items about book concepts than at items about sentence, words and letters. With respect to alphabet knowledge, 36-47 month-olds showed almost no letter knowledge but the performance increased after 48 months of age. In terms of name writing, 36-47 month-olds responded with drawing rather than writing their names. 48-59 month-olds began to use letters in their name writing and most of the 60-71 month-olds could write their names conventionally.

The Notion of Uniqueness within the Context of Creation in Ahmed Avni Konuk’s Commentary of Fuṣûṣü’l-ḥikem
The concept of individuality is a concept that contains the entire logic of the truth of creation/existence. The last chapter of Muhyiddîn Ibn al-'Arabî's Fusūs al-hikam, one of the most fundamental works of Sufi history and thought, devoted to the Prophet Muhammad, explains that Muhammadan wisdom is the wisdom of "individuality". While the Creator-creature relationship that emerges with creation is seen as a dual communication process, as Ibn al-'Arabī expresses it with the word pairs Hak-halk, Rab-sul, or kadîm-hâdis, the Prophet Muhammad, who is the perfection of being, the "true" human being, and to whom the wisdom of individuality has been made unique, unites the duality of the Creator and the created as the third element and makes the Truth fully manifest. When the Being that is revealed through creation is considered within the framework of the concept of individuality, it is seen that the source and target of this "becoming" is the human being, who is the human being who is the embodiment of the Truthfulness of Muhammadiyya. Thus, the goal of creation is realized through individuality through the human being, in whom existence finds its perfection
Development and Assessment of a Coping Scale for Infertile Women in Turkey
Infertile women feel more psychological stress and pressure than their husbands, and the prevalence of anxiety and depression among them are higher. This study aimed to develop a culture-specific measurement tool to identify the strategies of infertile women in dealing with infertility-related problems. This was a scale development study. This study was carried out in three different fertility centers in the three largest cities in Turkey. The data were collected using personal information form and through the application of a Coping Scale for Infertile Women (CSIW) protocol. Ways of Coping with Stress Inventory. Cronbach‘s alpha, Intraclass Correlation Coefficient and Spearman‘s Rank correlation analyses were used to determine the reliability of the scale. The results of explanatory factor analysis and a factor structure of the Coping Scale for Infertile Women, comprising 50 items, were examined, and the data were determined to be suitable to perform factor analysis. The internal consistency of the scale was found to be 0.880. The number of factors in the scale was 10, and the internal consistency of the factors was 0.720. The results showed that the CSIW had good reliability and validity. Keywords: Infertility, Women, Coping, Scale developmen
An LED-Based Structured Illumination Microscope Using A Digital Micromirror Device And GPU Accelerated Image Reconstruction
When combined with computational approaches, fluorescence imaging becomes one of the
most powerful tools in biomedical research. It is possible to achieve resolution figures
beyond the diffraction limit, and improve the performance and flexibility of high-resolution
imaging systems with techniques such as structured illumination microscopy (SIM) reconstruction. In this study, the hardware and software implementation of an LED-based superresolution imaging system using SIM employing GPU accelerated parallel image reconstruction is presented. The sample is illuminated with two-dimensional sinusoidal patterns
with various orientations and lateral phase shifts generated using a digital micromirror
device (DMD). SIM reconstruction is carried out in frequency space using parallel CUDA
kernel functions. Furthermore, a general purpose toolbox for the parallel image reconstruction algorithm and an infrastructure that allows all users to perform parallel operations on
images without developing any CUDA kernel code is presented. The developed image
reconstruction algorithm was run separately on a CPU and a GPU. Two different SIM reconstruction algorithms have been developed for the CPU as mono-thread CPU algorithm and
multi-thread OpenMP CPU algorithm. SIM reconstruction of 1024 × 1024 px images was
achieved in 1.49 s using GPU computation, indicating an enhancement by *28 and *20 in
computation time when compared with mono-thread CPU computation and multi-thread
OpenMP CPU computation, respectively
