    Acompañamiento como metodología de Trabajo Social en tiempos de cólera

    Accompaniment is presented as a method of social work, which attempts to respond to the needs and social problems in a context strongly marked by the economic crisis, the worsening social problems and fading of public policy on social matters. This is causing a change in the professional role, to the failure, if not lack of resources. The article is structured in three parts: a) the first part of looks at the current social work profession, which lives moments of anger, rage, powerlessness pressure on the social services system, by the increase situations of need and by trimming budgets in social spending; b) in the second part, is presented the conviction that the accompaniment is the methodology of social work, based on the aid relationship. Is described accompanying methodology and intervention methods and techniques applied to the helping relationship, which enable the changing role of the professional resource manager to resource generator; c) In the third part, a claim is made for a social work oriented to research and to contrast theoretical and practical intervention in social reality.En el artículo se presenta el acompañamiento como metodología del Trabajo Social, que trata de dar respuesta a las necesidades y problemas sociales en un contexto fuertemente marcado por la crisis económica, con la agudización de los problemas sociales y la pérdida de intensidad de las políticas públicas en materia social. Ello está generando un cambio en el rol profesional, ante la insuficiencia, cuando no carencia de recursos. El artículo se estructura en tres partes: a) en la primera se parte de una mirada al trabajo social actual, la profesión vive momentos de cólera, rabia, impotencia ante la presión que sobre el sistema de servicios sociales se está produciendo, por el incremento de las situaciones de necesidad y por el recorte de los presupuestos en gasto social; b) en la segunda parte, se presenta la convicción de que el acompañamiento es la metodología propia del Trabajo Social, basada en la relación de ayuda. Se describe la metodología del acompañamiento y los métodos y técnicas de intervención aplicados a la relación de ayuda, que posibilitan el cambio de rol del profesional de gestor de recursos a generador de recursos; c) en la tercera parte se realiza una reivindicación a favor de un trabajo social orientado por la investigación y el contraste teórico-práctico de la intervención en la realidad social.

    El nuevo escenario que ofrece el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior ha propiciado cambios en la nueva concepción y enfoque de determinados planes de estudios, como es el caso concreto de los de Trabajo Social. En este sentido el artículo que aquí se presenta recoge la experiencia de implementación de la metodología didáctica de Aprendizaje Servicio (ApS) en las prácticas externas del Grado en Trabajo Social. Con esta metodología se reenfoca el significado de aprender competencias como herramienta principal para conseguirlo. El Aprendizaje-Servicio es un método que pretende enseñar aprendiendo, y aprender haciendo, por lo que la implicación del alumnado es máxima, recuperando así su propio protagonismo, un tanto perdido.Las prácticas externas del Grado de Trabajo Social con ApS representan un reto para todos los agentes implicados en el proceso: entidades sociales, alumnado y la propia universidad. Las prácticas son un excelente espacio para la formación en ciudadanía activa, donde convergerán la calidad académica y la responsabilidad social. El artículo recoge los momentos y fases por los que ha pasado la puesta en marcha y algunas de las conclusiones preliminares a las que se ha llegado después de cerrase el ciclo de la primera promoción.The new frame offered by European Higher Education Area has led to changes in the new design and approach to curricula as is the case of Social Work.In this context, the article presented here, reflects the experience of implementing the Service Learning Methodology (SLM) in external practices of the Degree in Social Work. With this methodology, the meaning of «learning skills» is refocused as the main tool. Service Learning is a method that aims to teach learning, and learning by doing, as a consequence the student involvement is higher than before, recovering his own role, somewhat lost.External practices of Social Work degree with SLM represent a challenge for all those involved in the process, social organizations, students and the university. External practices are excellent places for active citizenship training where academic quality and accountability social will converge.     Assisting the Most Vulnerable Populations in the Regions of La Rioja and the Maghreb: The Human Rights-Based Approach and Social Work

    This article examines the evolution of social assistance provided to the most disadvantaged populations in La Rioja, Spain and the Maghreb, going from charity to the human rights-based approach (HRBA). A case-analysis methodology was applied to two social interventions: the ABDEM project, which is part of the EU Tempus program, and the UNICEF program to combat poverty in the Spanish region of La Rioja. In these two cases, the HRBA represents a conceptual leap in the promotion of people’s autonomy and an effective means for sustainable progress in response to the inequality, discrimination and unjust power relations negatively affecting the most vulnerable members of society

    Atención a las personas con discapacidad en la región de Piura

    The article reflects the work done in a cooperation project on people with disabilities in the region of Piura. Is presented with reference to two physical movements, rotation and translation, reference figures that we used to frame all the actions that were carried out before, during and after the cooperation. The main reason for undertaking the project was the motivation provided by the concept of social work as a discipline committed to the reality of those less favored. The project responds to the concern to make visible a hidden group in the reality studied, people with disabilities, with the hope that actions like this will be increasingly in the territory and outside to encourage their development and welfareEl artículo recoge el camino recorrido por un proyecto de cooperación sobre las personas con discapacidad en la región de Piura. Se presenta haciendo referencia a dos movimientos físicos, el de rotación y el de traslación, como figuras de referencia que nos sirven para enmarcar todas aquellas acciones que se llevaron a cabo, antes, durante y después de la estancia. La principal razón para emprender el proyecto era la motivación existente que brinda la propia concepción del trabajo social como disciplina comprometida con la realidad de aquellas personas menos favorecidas socialmente.     Advanced Space Flight Mechanical Qualification Test of a 3D- Printed Satellite Structure Produced in Polyetherimide ULTEMTM

    The aim of this work is to demonstrate the use of additive manufacturing with thermoplastic material in the whole functional structure of spacecraft and to mechanically qualify it for space flight. For such purpose, an 8 U CubeSat structure was manufactured in polyetherimide (PEI) ULTEM™ through 3D printing and passed several vibration tests. The results are compared with those obtained in the qualification of the same structure manufactured in aluminum alloy AA-6082 T651 through a conventional CNC method. The qualification consisted of passing the vibration requirements in quasi-static, sine, and random tests to fly in PSLV launcher. Finally, a robustness test for the 3D-printed structure is included, and all the results are analyzed. This study is being part of the H2020 European Project ReDSHIFT (Project ID 687500)

    The shaping of gut immunity in cirrhosis

    Cirrhosis is the common end-stage of chronic liver diseases of different etiology. The altered bile acids metabolism in the cirrhotic liver and the increase in the blood-brain barrier permeability, along with the progressive dysbiosis of intestinal microbiota, contribute to gut immunity changes, from compromised antimicrobial host defense to pro-inflammatory adaptive responses. In turn, these changes elicit a disruption in the epithelial and gut vascular barriers, promoting the increased access of potential pathogenic microbial antigens to portal circulation, further aggravating liver disease. After summarizing the key aspects of gut immunity during homeostasis, this review is intended to update the contribution of liver and brain metabolites in shaping the intestinal immune status and, in turn, to understand how the loss of homeostasis in the gut-associated lymphoid tissue, as present in cirrhosis, cooperates in the advanced chronic liver disease progression. Finally, several therapeutic approaches targeting the intestinal homeostasis in cirrhosis are discussed

    Proceso de vuelta a la competición en lesiones de la regiónisquiosural en el futbolista: Una revisión sistemática

    InInjuries to the ischiosural musculature account for 12% of all injuries to soccer players. The aim of this systematic review is to present the current methodology used during the rehabilitation process in soccer players with respect to injuries to the ischiosural region. For this purpose, a search was carried out using Google Scholar, Pubmed and Sportdiscus platforms including a time frame from 2011 to May 2021. Inclusion criteria included soccer players, in addition to including only studies with intervention. An analysis of 7 studies was carried out, in which it has been possible to observe how a multifactorial approach, acting on coadjuvant components and with the aim of improving the return to play process, offers greater efficacy in the return to competition. During the rehabilitation process it is necessary to identify synergies in sport-specific movement patterns in order to offer the player an optimal recovery.Las lesiones de la musculatura isquiosural engloban el 12% de las lesiones totales del futbolista, El objetivo de la presente revisión sistemática es exponer la metodología actual durante el proceso de rehabilitación en futbolistas respecto a la lesión de la región isquiosural. Para ello, se ha realizado una búsqueda mediante las plataformas Google Scholar, Pubmed y Sportdiscus incluyendo una franja temporal desde el 2011 hasta mayo de 2021. Los criterios de inclusión incluían jugadores de fútbol, además de incluir solo estudios con intervención. Se realizó un análisis de 7 estudios, en los que se ha podido observar cómo un enfoque multifactorial, actuando sobre componentes coadyuvantes y con el fin de mejorar el proceso de return to play ofrece mayor eficacia en la vuelta a la competición. Durante el proceso de rehabilitación es necesario identificar las sinergias en los patrones de movimiento específicos del deporte, con el fin de ofrecer al jugador una óptima recuperación.Actividad Física y Deport

    Nursing students bringing first aid to the community

    AimThis study aimed to evaluate the theoretical and practical skills acquired by nursing students and school students after the service-learning project.MethodsThis study promotes nursing students and school students working together to gain awareness and basic theoretical knowledge of first aid. The learning project was conducted with nursing students (n = 67) and school students (n = 131) from April to June 2022. The nursing students gave scores higher than 8 on the aspects linked to expectations, self-perception, overall assessment, and attainment of the goals, and these results are in line with the qualitative analysis.ResultsMoreover, 100% of the school students reported a satisfactory outcome about the service.ConclusionService-learning is a challenging and motivating methodology for nursing students, which results in greater engagement with theory and practice and the development of essential skills for future professionals
