Perceptions des prescripteurs et usages des ressources pédagogiques numériques dans le premier cycle de l’enseignement supérieur : synthèse de l’étude qualitative menée par l’Institut CSA en octobre 2012
L’enssib a mis en place, dans le cadre de la plateforme de collaboration entre le ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche et le Syndicat National de l’Edition, l’Observatoire numérique de l’enseignement supérieur dont la vocation est de comprendre les usages, besoins et attentes du monde de l’enseignement supérieur en matière de ressources pédagogiques numériques.
L\u27Observatoire a piloté en 2012 une étude, réalisée par l\u27institut CSA, comportant deux volets complémentaires et successifs dans l’enseignement supérieur en cycle Licence.
En octobre 2012, une étude qualitative s’est focalisée sur les perceptions des prescripteurs et les usages des ressources pédagogiques numériques dans le premier cycle. Cette étude qualitative a été menée auprès de trois profils prédéfinis qui occupent une fonction clé dans la démarche d’aide, de guidage et d’orientation des étudiants : les enseignants-chercheurs évidemment, mais aussi les personnels des Services Communs de la Documentation et des services des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication pour l’Enseignement travaillant pour le cycle Licence, même de manière non exclusive

Development of All-Wood Connections with Plywood Flitch Plate and Oak Pegs
This paper proposes a new method for beam-beam connections, which include plywood as slot-in plates connected by oak pegs. A total of 96 specimens were fabricated for tests to explore the minimum required end distances and spacing between pegs parallel to the grain. A new failure mode, termed shear wedge that is different from those found in previous research, was found. A spring model was also proposed in this study to investigate the stiffness of the connections, and feasibility of EC5 to be applied on the new proposed connections was also examined. The effective number was discussed in this study and modified in accordance to the experimental results. The result of this study shows the new connections proposed do not lead to brittle failure unless failure in plywood occurred
Edge Partitions of Optimal -plane and -plane Graphs
A topological graph is a graph drawn in the plane. A topological graph is
-plane, , if each edge is crossed at most times. We study the
problem of partitioning the edges of a -plane graph such that each partite
set forms a graph with a simpler structure. While this problem has been studied
for , we focus on optimal -plane and -plane graphs, which are
-plane and -plane graphs with maximum density. We prove the following
results. (i) It is not possible to partition the edges of a simple optimal
-plane graph into a -plane graph and a forest, while (ii) an edge
partition formed by a -plane graph and two plane forests always exists and
can be computed in linear time. (iii) We describe efficient algorithms to
partition the edges of a simple optimal -plane graph into a -plane graph
and a plane graph with maximum vertex degree , or with maximum vertex
degree if the optimal -plane graph is such that its crossing-free edges
form a graph with no separating triangles. (iv) We exhibit an infinite family
of simple optimal -plane graphs such that in any edge partition composed of
a -plane graph and a plane graph, the plane graph has maximum vertex degree
at least and the -plane graph has maximum vertex degree at least .
(v) We show that every optimal -plane graph whose crossing-free edges form a
biconnected graph can be decomposed, in linear time, into a -plane graph and
two plane forests
Reliability analysis of moment redistribution in reinforced concrete beams
Design codes allow a limited amount of moment redistribution in continuous reinforced concrete beams and often make use of lower bound values in the procedure for estimating the moment redistribution factors. Here, based on the concept of demand and capacity rotation, and by means of Monte Carlo simulation, a probabilistic model is derived for the evaluation of moment redistribution factors. Results show that in all considered cases, the evaluated mean and nominal values of moment redistribution factor are greater than the values provided by the ACI code. On the other hand, the 5th percentile value of moment redistribution factor could be lower than those specified by the code. Although the reduction of strength limit state reliability index attributable to uncertainty in moment redistribution factors is not large, it is comparable to the reduction in reliability index resulting from increasing the ratio of live to dead load
Flavor Phenomenology in General 5D Warped Spaces
We have considered a general 5D warped model with SM fields propagating in
the bulk and computed explicit expressions for oblique and non-oblique
electroweak observables as well as for flavor and CP violating effective
four-fermion operators. We have compared the resulting lower bounds on the
Kaluza-Klein (KK) scale in the RS model and a recently proposed model with a
metric modified towards the IR brane, which is consistent with oblique
parameters without the need for a custodial symmetry. We have randomly
generated 40,000 sets of O(1) 5D Yukawa couplings and made a fit of the quark
masses and CKM matrix elements in both models. This method allows to identify
the percentage of points consistent with a given KK mass, which in turn
provides us with a measure for the required fine-tuning. Comparison with
current experimental data on Rb, FCNC and CP violating operators exhibits an
improved behavior of our model with respect to the RS model. In particular,
allowing 10% fine-tuning the combined results point towards upper bounds on the
KK gauge boson masses around 3.3 TeV in our model as compared with 13 TeV in
the RS model. One reason for this improvement is that fermions in our model are
shifted, with respect to fermions in the RS model, towards the UV brane thus
decreasing the strength of the modifications of electroweak observables.Comment: 28 pages, 7 figures, 4 table
Development of a scale to measure stigma related to podoconiosis in Southern Ethiopia
Background:
Health-related stigma adds to the physical and economic burdens experienced by people suffering from neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Previous research into the NTD podoconiosis showed significant stigma towards those with the disease, yet no formal instrument exists by which to assess stigma or interventions to reduce stigma. We aimed to develop, pilot and validate scales to measure the extent of stigma towards podoconiosis among patients and in podoconiosis-endemic communities.
Methods:
Indicators of stigma were drawn from existing qualitative podoconiosis research and a literature review on measuring leprosy stigma. These were then formulated into items for questioning and evaluated through a Delphi process in which irrelevant items were discounted. The final items formed four scales measuring two distinct forms of stigma (felt stigma and enacted stigma) for those with podoconiosis and those without the disease. The scales were formatted as two questionnaires, one for podoconiosis patients and one for unaffected community members. 150 podoconiosis patients and 500 unaffected community members from Wolaita zone, Southern Ethiopia were selected through multistage random sampling to complete the questionnaires which were interview-administered. The scales were evaluated through reliability assessment, content and construct validity analysis of
the items, factor analysis and internal consistency analysis.
Results:
All scales had Cronbach’s alpha over 0.7, indicating good consistency. The content and construct validity of the scales were satisfactory with modest correlation between items. There was significant correlation between the felt and enacted stigma scales among patients (Spearman’s r = 0.892; p < 0.001) and within the community (Spearman’s r = 0.794; p < 0.001).
Conclusion:
We report the development and testing of the first standardised measures of podoconiosis stigma. Although further research is needed to validate the scales in other contexts, we anticipate they will be useful in situational analysis and in designing, monitoring and evaluating interventions. The scales will enable an evidencebased approach to mitigating stigma which will enable implementation of more effective disease control and help
break the cycle of poverty and NTDs

Kebijakan pidana Indonesia terkesan hanya berfokus pada kriminalisasi perbuatan-perbuatan yang dianggap salah secara moral yang mengesampingkan salah satu tujuan diadakannya hukum pidana yakni pulihnya akibat dari suatu perbuatan pidana dan kebijakan pidana di Indonesia terkesan tidak memperdulikan konsekuensi yang ditimbulkan dari penanganan perkara dan akibat dari adanya pemidanaan ratusan ribu orang yang tentu saja membutuhkan sumber daya manusia, tempat dan juga biaya yang sangat besar. Tulisan ini membahas tentang gagasan economic analysis of law dalam kebijakan hukum pidana. Tulisan ini juga membahas tentang reorientasi kebijakan pidana Indonesia berdasarkan economic analysis of law. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu yuridis normatif, metode penelitian kualitatif yang mengambil sikap kritis normatif dari wawasan atau keberadaan manusia serta mengkritik terhadap praktik hukum maupun dogmatik hukum. Determinants of health seeking behaviour following rabies exposure in Ethiopia
The objective of this study was to identify factors that determine medical treatment seeking behaviour following potential rabies exposure after being bitten by a suspected dog and the likelihood of compliance to receive sufficient doses of post-exposure prophylaxis after the visit to a health centre visit. A detailed survey based on case investigation was conducted on suspected rabid dog bite cases in three areas of Ethiopia. Two multivariable logistic regression models were created with a set of putative variables to explain treatment seeking and compliance outcomes. Based on the registered bite cases at each health centre and the set of unregistered bite cases derived by contact tracing, 655 bite victim cases were identified to have occurred between September 2013 and August 2014. Of these evaluated bite incidences, 465 cases were considered to have been caused by a potentially rabid dog. About 77% of these suspected rabid dog bite victims visited a health centre, while 57% received sufficient doses of PEP. The overall likelihood of seeking medical services following rabies exposure was higher for people bitten by dogs of unknown ownership, where the bite was severe, being bitten on the leg, spend of more than 100 USD per month and where the victim lived close to the nearest health centre, while the likelihood of receiving sufficient doses of PEP was sensitive to monthly spending and distance to health centre. However, the evaluated factors did only explain a part of the variation among the three districts. The district in which victims lived appeared to have a relevant influence on the likelihood of seeking medical treatment but did not improve the prediction on the likelihood of treatment compliance. Given the insights obtained from this study, improvements in the rural districts with regard to accessibility of post-exposure prophylaxis delivering health centres in shorter distance could improve health seeking behaviour. In addition, in rural districts, majority of exposed persons who seek medical treatment tend to comply with treatment regimen, indicating that the promotion of medical treatment through awareness creation campaigns could be beneficial
