Diversity of Feeding in Anthozoa (Cnidaria): A Systematic Review

In this study, we performed a bibliographical review examining the scientific literature on “feeding in Anthozoa” for the period from 1890 to 2019, using the scientific database Google Scholar, supplemented with additional literature. This study categorized published scientific papers on this topic by decade of publication, target taxa, variability of species studied in each order and main themes studied. As a result, 153 studies were found, and based on their content, it was observed that within Anthozoa, there has been a concentration of feeding studies on species in the orders Actiniaria (Hexacorallia), Scleractinia (Hexacorallia), and Alcyonacea (Octocorallia). This indicates that the other remaining orders of the group have been comparatively neglected with regards to their feeding aspects. Therefore, as data on feeding in some groups of Anthozoa are scarce, studies need to be carried out to fill the gaps that permeate this important benthic group, in order to better understand their ecology.Fil: Barbosa Santos, Thais. Analysis of the relative rib area of reinforcing bars pull out tests

The good performance of reinforced concrete structures is ensured by the transfer of stress linking a reinforcing bar and the surrounding concrete. The bond steel-concrete is a very complex phenomenon. This paper presents the experimental results of a program with specimens used in the pull out test with concrete strength of 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 MPa and four different steel diameters: 12.5, 16.0, 20.0 and 25.0 mm. The test results indicated that the bond stress varied with the bars rib face angle, rib spacing, and rib height. The trends of the results were independent of the concrete strength with the test results, and design recommendations made as regards optimum rib geometries of deformed bars with high bond-slip characteristics.

Bem cuidar: grupos de educação em saúde para acompanhantes

Objetivo: descrever a implantação do ciclo de aprendizagem vivencial (CAV) nas atividades grupais realizadas com acompanhantes de pacientes oncológicos. Metodologia: Trata-se de um relato de experiência sobre a realização de atividades grupais com acompanhantes de pacientes oncológicos que faziam tratamento em um hospital do interior de Minas Gerais. Foram realizados 15 encontros entre maio e dezembro de 2016, dos quais participaram 43 acompanhantes. Resultados: Embora os temas fossem diversificados, as reflexões e trocas de experiências estiveram relacionadas a dificuldades e facilidades encontradas no cotidiano. Na experiência de implantação do CAV pudemos perceber que a atividade grupal realizada com os acompanhantes auxilia na superação de obstáculos e dificuldades. Houve fortalecimento de vínculo com outros participantes, pessoas da rede social e coordenador/acadêmicos do projeto. Conclusão: A abordagem direcionada aos acompanhantes possibilitou troca de experiências, sentimentos e reflexões acerca do momento vivenciado. A associação da pedagogia problematizadora e do CAV trouxe contribuições ao acadêmico ao auxiliá-lo no exercício do papel de liderança grupal, no manejo de situações imprevistas bem como na observação do processo grupal assegurando o protagonismo do acadêmico frente à população abarcada pelo projeto.Palavras chave: Grupo de autoajuda. Musical communication of flutists in ensemble performance

Background. Several empirical studies have shown that performer’s musical intentions are conveyed through manipulations of acoustic parameters. Therefore, during ensemble performance, musicians need to coordinate their musical ideas, through manipulation of different parameters.Aims. This paper aims to discuss timbre modification, due to coupling interpretation of ensemble performance. We compared the sound quality of solo performances of orchestral excerpts played by professional flutists, with their own performances when following clarinet and bassoon playing the same excerpt in unison. In this study, timbre was represented by two of the descriptors discussed by McAdams and colleagues, the logarithm of attack time and spectral centroid. Note segmentation, end of attack and beginning of release were determined using the Expan tool developed in previous studies.Results. We were able to observe that flute players tend to modify their timbre when following clarinet and bassoon with different tendencies for each instrument

Action of cyanogenic substances and magnetic field in the reduction of neoplasms: An integrative literature review

Cancer treatment has been constantly improved to cause the least possible harm to the patient. New therapies are being researched, many of them having as object of scientific-academic and pharmacological research the use of cyanogenic plants and their antitumor chemical compounds that can bring benefits to human health, having the potential to be associated with the magnetic Field and thus achieve a better benefit and with reduced adverse effects in cancer treatment. This study aimed to review the effect of cyanogenic substances and magnetic Field on tumor evolution in the literature. The integrative review of the literature was carried out in the databases EMBASE, PUBMED, LILACS, VHL, SCOPUS and MEDLINE. A final sample of 14 scientific articles, published from 2011 to 2020, was obtained, highlighting that cyanogenic substances and the magnetic Field can help reduce tumors. The most common studies were on the magnetic Field, and the studies were carried out mainly in vitro, with a frequency of 50 Hz that stood out from the others. Among the cyanogenic substances, the most prevalent was tonsillin, with the most used dosage of 10mg / ml. It was possible to conclude that both the magnetic Field and cyanogenic substances can reduce tumors

Neural Structure and Function in Autism Spectrum Disorder

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) refers to a group of neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by changes in communication, social interaction, and repetitive behavior, recognized as a public health problem with a sharp increase in its prevalence in the world population. It is known that brain functioning in individuals with ASD presents important deficits. It is essential to understand these deficits to identify and promote new management strategies for the development of this population with ASD. In this sense, the objective of this chapter is to present, through a literature review, the main risk factors that make up ASD, by showing classic and current findings based on neurophysiological changes and treatments

Lipossarcoma de laringe: Relato de caso

 Resumo: O lipossarcoma de laringe é uma neoplasia extremamente rara, acomete principalmente o sexo masculino, principalmente na quinta década de vida. Existindo apenas cerca de 40 casos descritos na literatura, desses nenhum em língua portuguesa. O presente caso relata o diagnóstico em um paciente do sexo masculino, 57 anos, ex-tabagista, apresentando alteração de voz e obstrução de via área. Foi optado por ressecção cirúrgica completa com achados sugestivos de lipossarcoma bem diferenciado. Foi optado por manter seguimento, não tendo sido indicado quimioterapia e radioterapia adjuvantes.Palavras-chave: Lipossarcoma; lipossarcoma-laringe; cirurgia-cabeça-pescoço; sarcoma
